Steve Carell’s definitely expanding his horizons with his latest film, Foxcatcher, a drama following bizarre events in the life of John E. du Pont.
As Carell is promoting it, he stopped at The Daily Show to chat with his old boss Jon Stewart and Stewart is simply flabbergasted at his performance.

Jon Stewart’s directorial debut Rosewater would be remiss without some sort of event attached to the movie’s premiere.
Luck would have that on Nov. 13th at 7:30PM EST (and tape delay for 7:30PM MT/CT/PST), Stewart will be chatting with his satirical news program cohort Stephen Colbert and it will be broadcast into theaters via Fathom Events.
While Rosewater isn’t at all a comedy, we’re sure that Stewart and Colbert in conversation will be a whole lot of fun, perhaps reminiscent of John Mulaney recently interviewing Dan Mintz.
Taking advantage of the endless wealth of comedy genius that resides in and around NYC as well as bringing plenty of the funniest people in the land, The NY Comedy Festival for 2014 isn’t something you should miss.

Michael Che is off from The Daily Show to co-anchor Weekend Update at Saturday Night Live and he just had his last appearance on The Daily Show last night.

The Just For Laughs brand has been one for the biggest comedy festivals in the world for quite some time. In their tenure of their festivals, so many of the big names you know and love nowadays performed on what was likely the biggest stage they’ve ever performed comedy on up until that point.
So, JFL thought it might be prudent to share some of their archives with the rest of us.
Thus, 500 hours of clips will be uploaded to a YouTube channel that’s being created with the help of Maker Studios, much of which hasn’t ever been seen outside of the festival. Clips will include performances from Dave Chappelle, Bill Hicks, Bill Burr, Louis CK, Mitch Hedberg, Jon Stewart, Chris Rock, and way more.
When that starts, prepare for another thing to binge watch.
As Joan Rivers passed away yesterday afternoon, there were plenty of tributes throughout the world of late night, one she was such a forceful, hilarious presence in. Conan O’Brien and Chris Hardwick, David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman, Seth Meyers, Jon Stewart, and Craig Ferguson all paid their respects to Rivers on their respective programs.
Behind the face of The Daily Show and its host Jon Stewart is an entire, well oiled machine that maintains one of the sharpest comedy shows around as a perennial award winning comedy series.
Now, you can hear their story in a podcast called The Daily Show Podcast Without Jon Stewart that follows the folks on the show that are exclusively not Jon Stewart.
They just released their first episode with head writer Elliott Kalan and correspondent Jessica L. Williams, so you’ll probably be adding this to your regular podcast list soon.
Last night on The Daily Show, Elisabeth Moss was the guest as she was promoting her new film The One I Love. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the film, she can’t really talk about it all that much just like so can’t talk about it that much, leaving little to talk about.
So, that leaves Jon Stewart to showcase his marvelous interviewing skills by figuring something else out, seemingly on the spot and doing most of the talking. It’s probably the most undervalued skill set of a TV show host. We would be surprised if this was all covered in a pre-interview.
On the latest episode of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Jerry Seinfeld pays tribute to his esteemed guest Jon Stewart from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart by picking him up in the car he used to drive in high school, which was the notoriously cheap AMC Gremlin.

Spike TV Paying Tribute to Don Rickles
Living comedy legend Don Rickles is getting his very own televised tribute special on Spike TV at the end of May. As David Letterman, Jon Stewart, Jerry Seinfeld, Regis Philbin, Tracy Morgan, Martin Scorsese, and more will be part of One Night Only: An All-Star Comedy Tribute to Don Rickles, we can only imagine that this is basically going to be a roast.
Mr. Warmth probably wouldn’t have it any other way.
As actual long time friends, Denis Leary and Jon Stewart, in lieu of a typical interview, bicker wonderfully when Leary’s on The Daily Show like he did last night. It’s better than hearing most celebrities and what interesting thing happened to them in the past month and we wish that more interviews were like this.
Instead of talking about his great upcoming movie Bad Words, director and star Jason Bateman stopped by The Daily Show last night and showed how goy he is by not even knowing what Jewish holiday dinner he was at and second guessing his Yiddish vocabulary.

The Daily Show added a new Senior Caucasian Correspondent in Jordan Klepper, which is pretty great considering his first assignment being in the Ukraine as opposed with dealing with white people issues.

Last night was John Oliver’s final episode of The Daily Show as a regular correspondent. He’s off to do his own show at HBO, but before he went, Jon Stewart gave him a present that brought him to tears in his own retrospective over the last 7 ½ years.
