With the start of December tomorrow, we’re into the heart of the holiday season and, as such, a plethora of holiday themed variety shows are coming ’round the corner. One of those that you should absolutely not miss is Jane Lynch: A Swingin’ Little Christmas featuring Kate Flannery & Tim Davis with The Tony Guerrero Quintet. It’ll be a rollicking good time of song, comedy, mirth, and the cheeky twists that would only come with Lynch, Flannery, and Davis all at the venerable Joe’s Pub.

A Swingin’ Little Christmas is actually on tour, but doing a run at Joe’s Pub this Fri. Dec. 1st-Sun. Dec. 3rd at $50 a pop (w/2 drink or 1 item min.). Go get yourself and/or your loved ones/dear friends a gift in the form of a ticket here.

A Revival of Party Down Is In The Works at Starz

Henry’s torturous catch phrase “Are we having fun yet?” has been a sentiment that has been ringing in our head as capturing the spirit of remaining in lockdown because of the pandemic.

So, the idea of Party Down potentially returning is very much good news to us and, as far as revivals/reboots go via nostalgia bait, we’re fine with this one. If you haven’t watched Party Down yet, please stop singing the praises of Ted Lasso and go watch all of Party Down right now. There are only two seasons (and there indeed should have been more), so it ought to be a very satisfying binge.

Thus far, the original producing team of Rob Thomas, John Enbom, Paul Rudd and Dan Etheridge are committed to developing this possible revival at Starz and they’ve indicated that a good portion of the cast is likely to return (Adam Scott seems to be on board).

Perhaps, if this returns, we’ll have a better answer for the question, “Are we having fun yet?”

“Space Force” Teaser Shows Steve Carell as Boss of an Office Again (Though Much More Dangerous Than Dunder Mifflin)

An argument could be made that Steve Carell knows how to play a conflicted boss type better than almost any one just off his performance as Michael Scott on The Office.

With that in mind, it’s very exciting to see Carell in another boss role that’s set in an office in Netflix’s upcoming satirical comedy from Steve Carell and Greg Daniels, Space Force, based on Trump’s real life, newly created branch of the U.S. military. In this office, the stakes are much, much higher than they would be at Dunder Mifflin and Carell isn’t necessarily the main source of the strife so much as it’s emanating from the circumstances he was placed in. Space Force actually seems a little closer in DNA to Veep than The Office, though we’ll see when Space Force premieres given Daniels and Carell being so closely tied to the American version of The Office. Still, Carell returning to being the series lead in a comedy is pretty damn enticing.

See all of this for yourself in Space Force teaser here.

HOLY SH*T (You’ve Got To Vote) from Moby

Celebrities cursing seem to to be taking the place of them simply telling you to “rock the vote”. Maybe things are just that dire this election, maybe?

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’s Rachel Bloom leads of a song that not only indulges in an expletive-laden ballad with the likes of Elizabeth Banks, Mony, Adam Scott, Adam Pally, Mayim Bialik, Melissa Rauch, Jane Lynch, Paul Scheer, Amber Rose, June Diane Raphael, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Naya Rivera, and Ginger Gonzaga, but also makes fun of all those songs where celebrities come together to encourage the general public to take action for a good a cause.

Watch it here and, oh yeah, make sure you go vote.

Arguably, the father of mockumentaries, Christopher Guest, has his latest film coming very soon to Netflix.

After covering the worlds of hair metal, dog shows, folk music, and more, Guest points his focus towards the world of mascots with his usual suspects of Fred Willard, Jennifer Coolidge, and Parker Posey as well as the delightful Zach Woods, Bob Balaban, Sarah Baker, Christopher O’Dowd, Jane Lynch, Ed Begley Jr., and more.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise, but this is one of the funniest trailers we’ve seen in awhile.

Look for Mascots to start streaming on October 13th on Netflix.

Tween Fest Series Trailer – watch more funny videos

Awhile ago, writers Nick Ciarelli and Brad Evans made a great themed sketch show called Death Valley Tween Fest that was basically a Coachella just for millennials that got out of hand.

With the go90 app needing content that will draw you to watch, Nick and Brad along with director Scott Gairdner got a chance to adapt that show into an actual series, Tween Fest, starring Drew Tarver, John Michael Higgins, Joey King, Arden Cho, and Lou Wilson with Jane Lynch, David Koechner, Tim Meadows, and Chris Parnell featuring.

From the looks of the trailer, it looks like the satirical poke at millennials and the baby boomers profiting off of them will be pretty good as well.

Look for Tween Fest to debut on go90 on August 3rd.

IFC’s biggest series are getting into production for their latest seasons and, of course, they have quite the guest star list.

Pitchfork reports that a nice roster of bands will be featured on Comedy Bang! Bang! including The National, Lonely Island, Future Islands, and The Flaming Lips. Presumably, there will be some great jamming between them and Comedy Bang! Bang’s band leader Reggie Watts.

Splitsider has found through Carrie Brownstein’s Instagram that Natasha Lyonne, Jeff Goldblum, and Jane Lynch, amongst others will join Fred Armisen and Carrie in Portlandia.

So, we can’t wait for the premiere of either of these.

1) A few months ago, Joe Wengert’s character Mr. Girardi went viral with his speech about the misuse of the bulletin board at his frozen yogurt shop.  Thanks to the very talented and funny Brandon Vaughn, we now have a pretty clear picture, actually a pretty fantastic one if you ask us… (watch the clip then look at the pic)

6) Marc Maron is doing a pilot. [via HuffPostComedy]

7) Conan O’Brien Commencement Speech at Dartmouth (yeah you’ve probably seen it somewhere else, but what are we going to do? Not post it?)
