Jon Daly and Gil Ozeri’s Short Film “Men” Shows Toxic Masculinity Getting Its Well Deserved Comeuppance

Over the last few weeks, toxic masculinity has had several of its many, many heads lopped off with the unstoppable wave of sexual assault, harassment, and rape charges that have come to light.

One would hope that it’s a sign that “different time back then” is over and will not be tolerated anymore kind of like what happens in this darkly comedic, short film “men” from Jon Daly and Gil Ozeri.

Watch as they play two d-bags who embody toxic masculinity to its core and suffer accordingly here

(note: this is technically NSFW even though the social commentary here is important).

The line-up is stacked and we really think you should get your tickets sooner rather than later. They’re $7 and you can (and should) get them here.

Adam Pally and Gil Ozeri Are Trying To Be Nice(?) With Free Burgers at “The Meltdown”

There were a lot of great food bits in this season of The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail. Cameron Esposito already did something wonderful with donuts.

This particular one involved Adam Pally and Gil Ozeri attempting to graciously give out hamburgers to the crowd in attendance for The Meltdown taping.

Of course, it wasn’t as easy as you’d think to just give out burgers and that be it, right?

Of course not.

Watch it all go down here.

Gil Ozeri and Friends  Are Live-Streaming Their “Entourage-A-Thon” of The Whole “Entourage” Series

They started at 3PM yesterday and will take no breaks in watching the entirety of Entourage, then go see the Entourage movie.

You can watch the whole thing in action live.

Gil Ozeri and some of his friends including Adam Pally, Scott Aukerman, Jack McBrayer, Joe Mande, Wendy Molyneux (who raised money to be forced to see the Entourage movie), Steve Agee, Megan Neuringer have stopped by to join in on the test of endurance that is watching and riffing off of the entire Entourage series.

So far, there has been a real turtle that they put a Yankees cap on, keeping count of very specific Entourage-isms like every time E is wrong/a dog hates women/etc., and kicking the whole thing off with a children’s choir.

Catch up and tune into what Gil and, as of this post, John Levenstein, Scott Aukerman, Adam Pally, and more try to close out season 3 here.

Crime Comedy Continues to Trend with “Frauds” from Caspe/Ozeri/Tarses and “Arms and Dudes” Starring Jonah Hill

A wave in comedy that has been slowly building towards breaking across both TV and film has been crime themed comedy.

Already in the works, Johnny Depp has the high profile thievery comedy in Mortdecai and Zach Galifianakis is starring in Masterminds, previously titled Loomis Fargo, featuring a robbery by a more rag tag bunch. It might be a stretch, but you can this year’s unexpectedly funny revenge flick John Wick in there too.

Announced this week, Happy Endings’ David Caspe, Gil Ozeri along with producer Jamie Tarses are putting together a family crime comedy at Fox called “Frauds”. It will follow low level criminals trying to work up their way to ponzi schemes (via THR).

Todd Phillips has just cast Jonah Hill and gotten crime comedy feature “Arms and the Dudes” moving forward at Warner Bros. Hill will be part of a duo that were stoners that end up dealing arms for the U.S. government (via THR).  Even though The Interview hasn’t made it to theaters and Arms and Dudes has to roll into production, we think the two would definitely make a good pairing.

Perahps, out of this trend, we’ll finally get the this decade’s Snatch.
