Watch Maggie Maye on Conan
NYC’s Maggie Maye made her first stand-up appearance on Conan last night and made a very good first impression with jokes about her look to the secret behind the word “sassy”, and more.

If you’re in or around the limited release theaters around the country where Fort Tilden has just opened (it’s playing a few places outside of LA and NYC), please go see it. You can also watch in on VOD from the comfort of wherever you are.
Sarah-Violet Bliss and Charles Rogers’ millennial odyssey starring Bridey Elliott and Claire McNulty is so damn acerbically funny and genuinely captures so much of what’s enjoyably ridiculous about the generation of today.
If you’re fatigued from the run of big budget tentpole movies this summer, we think you might really dig this.
While you may have no idea who might drop in at The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, you also have no idea might be in the audience.
This particular night, several lucky folks had no idea that Lauren Lapkus would sit next to them and then interrupt the show as Jonah Ray’s sister.
Watch how that played out here.

Celeste and Jesse Forever with a different ending as a Toy Story sequel?
The fourth installment of Pixar’s Toy Story franchise will bring back Bo Peep as a love interest for Woody and subsequently explore their romance. With Rashida Jones and Will McCormack penning the script, don’t doubt how much this new Toy Story movie might tug at your heart strings, no matter what age you are.
Certainly, it’ll probably go into less dark territory than Toy Story 3.
Life tips, better known as life hacks, seem to quite popular these days. Knowing that, Andy Richter would like to share with you some quick and easy “life hacks” that will get you through your day with ease.
Watch as he shares them on Conan here.
If one of your life’s goals or, at the very least, a longtime New Year’s resolution is to screw up a drug deal, let Shawn Pearlman and Dave Horowitz, The Lil’ Cuties, show you how it’s done.
If you wish to not have your drug deals go south, do the opposite of this.

NBC isn’t kidding around with comedy this pilot season.
Powerless is the latest comedy pilot ordered by NBC from Ben Queen that will follow the lives of the insurance company employees set in the DC Comics universe. Undoubtedly, an insurance company would fittingly have an ungodly workload in a world full of superheroes and supervillains.
Being referenced as The Office with a DC Comics backdrop, would their be an actually sinister Dwight?

Recently, HitchBOT, a Canadian created robot created as a social experiment hitchhiking across the globe, found its end in when destroyed by strangers in Philadelphia.
So, SyFy’s Reactor with David Huntsberger discovered that the parent of HitchBOT was, of course, a VENGE-BOT that, given its name, didn’t take too lightly to their robotic child being beaten to death.
You should also note that, unfortunately, Reactor has been cancelled and this is one of their very last sketches.
However, a robot wreaking havoc almost seems a fitting ending. Watch it here.
We have a pretty good guess as to what you’ll be watching today.
For those not on the East Coast, you probably didn’t get a chance to catch Colin Quinn’s last show, Colin Quinn: Unconstitutional live.
You now have a chance to watch Colin comedically break down the U.S. Constitution and the history surrounding it as it’s now a special on Netflix.
As long as you have access to Netflix, watch it here.
Rehearsing with the President of United States isn’t, as you can imagine, your typical rehearsal.
Keegan-Michael Key went though that experience when preparing for a bit as Obama’s Anger Translator Luther during the last White House Correspondents Dinner.
Get as close a sense of what it was like to catch Hannibal Buress live in the back of a comic book store while he was wearing sunglasses and a “loud-ass shirt” with this nice, long, uncensored set from The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail.

If you’ve really been pining to see more of the comedic Sir Patrick Stewart, you won’t have to wait around until next weekend.
The Jonathan Ames created, Seth MacFarlane produced Blunt Talk starring Stewart isn’t set to premiere until Sat. Aug. 22nd 9PM on Starz.
However, Starz was nice enough to let us all preview two episodes a week before.
You can watch both of them right here.
NYC’s Monroe Martin notched his very first appearance, a very good one at that, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this past week.
Watch his set here and mark down his name somewhere as you’ll probably want to keep tabs on him.

In case you thought we were kidding about a real life cookbook for all the burgers featured on Bob’s Burgers, there’s undeniable proof that we’re not.
The collaboration between Cole Bowden who ran a blog, The Bob’s Burgers Experiment, about fixing up the real life counterparts those burgers and series creator Loren Bouchard has amounted to this real book, The Bob’s Burgers Burger Book: Real Recipes for Joke Burgers, that’s coming out Mar. 22nd.
You can and should pre-order your copy here.

Though knowing he was reviewing the experience of of being falsely accused of a crime, he had no idea it was going to be as serious as this.

As Stephen Colbert once showed how unregulated political action committees can be in raising money for their own agenda with the Colbert Super PAC, John Oliver is now showing how unregulated televangelists are with raising money with vague promises of spiritual fulfillment that ultimately end up serving their own agenda.
In his main segment on Last Week Tonight, Oliver ran down the abuses of such televangelists, similar to the sale of indulgences by corrupt church officials hundreds of years ago, that are given so many passes by the IRS for tax-free money often used to buy jets.
After that, Oliver announced the creation of his own church, Our Lady of Perpetual Exemption, which he has made sure, through plenty of legal counsel, is legally a religion.
You can actually donate to Our Lady of Perpetual Exemption by sending money in the mail to:
Our Lady of Perpetual Exemption
P.O. Box 1954
New York, New York 10113
In the televangelist spirit, you can call 1-800-844-7475 to hear a “nice” message where Oliver asks again for money.
Paul Scheer yet again does not go on The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail simply as a comedian, but rather, this time, as a Vine star doing stand-up.
The name that Paul came up with, Bling Ringa Xisle, should clue you in to how great this is.

Hell hath no fury like an army of comedians on social media.
UPDATE: According to our sources, Josh Ostrovsky’s pilot had not gone forward at Comedy Central well before this weekend when the outlash over his plagiarism went viral.
In a tale of just comeuppance, online personality Josh Ostrovsky, better known as The Fat Jew, who has somehow gotten a gigantic 5.7 million following on Instagram by posting captions to various photos has suffered the wrath of the comedy community.
Many of those jokes posted by Ostrovsky are lifted, stolen, and plagiarized from other comedians. There’s plenty of proof unlike dozens of accusations of joke thievery that are really just parallel thought.
Last week, CAA signed him as a client and the wide scope of his growing empire was seen with plenty of promotional contracts as well as a pilot in development at Comedy Central.
Over the weekend, hundreds of comedians, both big and small, took to all outlets of social media to highlight how Ostrovsky has stolen jokes. Even though it happened awhile ago, it’s a good thing that Ostrovsky no longer has that Comedy Central pilot in development.
Hopefully, talent will be looked more into by various companies and agencies beyond how big their social media following is.
One of our all time favorite sketch groups is and will always be Dead Kevin.
Comprised of Ahmed Bharoocha, Ryan O’Flanagan, and Jack Robichaud as well as direction and cinematography by John Hale and Maureen Bharoocha have consistently put up weekly sketches of three guys hanging in an apartment that’s funnier that most other groups just hanging out in an apartment on actual TV.
Today, after three years as an amazing sketch group, they released their finale, which is so perfect in so many ways.
Watch it here, then watch all their episodes, including the Comedy Central ones over and over.
Also, you should note that while this is the end of the Dead Kevin series, they’ll be releasing one-off character sketches just in case you were worried that you’d never see them again.

Good call on Saturday Night Live’s part by having one of comedy’s currently brightest stars and one SNL alum that has made a miraculous recovery after a near fatal accident to host the beginning of SNL’s 41st season.
Kicking off on October, Amy Schumer will host on Oct. 10th, then Tracy Morgan will host the week after on Oct. 17th. The season premiere will be hosted by Miley Cyrus, which should prove for three big weeks for the long running sketch variety show.

We’ve all made a huge mistake?
Despite hearing from Brian Grazer about a new batch of episodes of Arrested Development coming soon, it seems more unsure that such a thing is indeed happening.
Earlier this summer, Netflix’s Ted Sarandos expressed that he was hopeful to continue with new episodes of the series, but nothing was official or confirmed.
In his recent WTF appearance, Arrested Development star Jason Bateman echoed that sentiment by no knowledge of new episodes going into production.
He also elaborated that calling the latest episodes of Arrested Development “season 4″ as misleading as they were the first part of a three part arc.
Let’s hope we’ll be able to see the other two parts.
The project is in infant stages, but the fact that it’s in stages at all is hope that we’ll all get to see the Flight of the Conchords once again.
Both Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie, best known as the musical comedy duo Flight of the Conchords, are at work on developing a feature length project centered around the Flight of the Conchords.
As we said before, there isn’t anyone else involved at this point, but we think it would be a big opportunity missed by anyone who passed on this and didn’t make sure that it not only got greenlit and made, but fast tracked as well.
