The triumvirate of IFC’s Documentary Now!, Seth Meyers, Bill Hader, and Fred Armisen all met this week on Late Night with Seth Meyers and announced that IFC had ordered seasons 2 and 3 of the parody docu-series.
Upon hearing the news for “the first time”, Hader “exclaimed” surprise and joy during his interview.

When booking a cruise gig didn’t work on How To Make It in USA, Conner O’Malley, as a talent rep who makes Ari Gold seem tolerable to be around, attempts calling up networks TV and Netflix alike, presumably through an 800 number, to have Joe Pera pitch shows.
You can only imagine how it goes, then be delighted at the actual result.
Also, let this be proof to parents everywhere that calling up a network or studio for a job does not work ever.
As Hulu is making a regularly scheduled weekly release of episodes, you won’t have to worry about binge watching a new season of Hotwives… for now.
It’s a new set of Hotwives, mostly played by the same hysterical ladies who comprised The Hotwives of Orlando, bringing up the same sort of “drama” that we all know and love.
You can watch the first two episodes now on Hulu, which undoubtedly will come so wonderfully close to all the Housewives series that they’re parodying.

For those of you hoping, praying, having your fingers crossed, etc. in the hopes that Maya Rudolph’s variety special would indeed turn into a full fledged series, it would seem that you could take a break.
Maya Rudolph hosted a variety special last year that was being thrown into consideration into being picked up for a series at NBC. After the premiere, progress for the series was kept quiet, but it turns out that it’s not only alive and well, but it might get the likes of Martin Short as a co-host who will be sharing top billing with Maya.
If this keeps going forward into a weekly series, we’re curious if it’ll take the months that SNL takes off or run concurrently with it. Either way, Rudolph and Short doing big, funny musical numbers should be fun and will probably be a big hit online.
One of our all time favorite web series is Henry Phillips’ Henry’s Kitchen where Henry really tries to cook things and well, comes out with something.
After a long time waiting, there’s a brand new episode where Henry really tries to both learn and show us how to make Scotch Eggs with some sort of success.
If you’ve missed the delightfully edgy, but truthful songs of Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci like we have, you’ll be happy to know, like we are, that Garfunkel and Oates are coming out with a brand new album called Secretions on Sept. 10th.

The most neon color palette, the biggest hair, tons of synth, the voices of Rob Lowe, Will Forte, Kate Mara, and Elizabeth Banks and rampant drugs/violence should make for a whole bunch of fun in Comedy Central’s Moonbeam City from Scott Gairdner.

After 13 seasons of a world where sentient fast food and humans can be friends, Adult Swim’s Aqua Teen Hunger Force is coming to its swan song.
Fortunately, renowned American singer-songwriter Patti Smith made an actual song Aqua Teen Dream that’s a kind of beautiful way to send them, them being Meatwad, Master Shake, and Frylock, off.

Apparently, it’s just got a really stern rating in the theaters where it’s playing.
While there are very many homophobic laws currently in place in Russia, the very funny Pride from last year is screening, apparently to favorable reception.
The film from last year tells the he story of gay activists in the U.K. joining forces with miners in the 80s and is a pitch perfect feel good period piece dramedy. Many pro-gay movies apparently get protested in Russia, but Pride hasn’t seen any protests yet.
We can only hope that is the start of trend in Russian cinemas.
We could elaborate as to what Tig Notaro chatted about with Conan O’Brien last night during her appearance on Conan in order to entice you to watch their chat.

However, we will say that this road trip story is, as Tig will tell you, pretty hilarious.
