John Mulaney Comedy Lands Series Order at Fox
If this turns out to be a hit series, which, given John Mulaney’s comedic sensibilities and having Martin Short around and perhaps keeping the rest of the stellar cast on board, there might just be a book written about how Fox essentially took this show when NBC didn’t want it.
We had a feeling that Mulaney was going to be a show somewhere.

This weekend The LA Podcast Festival is happening, then, two weeks later on Oct. 19th, Tenacious D’s Festival Supreme will take to the Santa Monica Pier and bring plenty of comedy awesomeness yet again.

NBC Orders Rob Lowe Comedy Pilot ‘The Pro’
Off of just the idea that Rob Lowe’s character will be a former tennis champ, we’re almost completely sold. Let’s hope that NBC is actually sold on that idea.
Funny or Die Releases 2nd Feature Length Film in Limited Run
Funny or Die is continuing to expands their modes of distribution in releasing another feature length film, though, this time, for a limited period before it gets released in other formats.
You can watch the 91 min. We Are Young, now, for free at Funny or Die.
Conan’s continuing the great classic late night tradition of bringing back very funny stand up comedians that were funny on their program.
Just check Erin Foley’s 2nd set on Conan from last night as a great example.
You might have wondered what Marc Maron has been up to outside of doing his renowned WTF podcast.
Well, it would be a stand up (though he’s making quite the trademark of perching on a stool) special to come to all of us via Netflix Mon. Oct. 7th.

Along with bringing back John Oliver back for multiple episodes, Community is starting to put together a star studded cameo cast for this upcoming season with this news of Nathan Fillion coming on as a guest star.
Maybe, this is in a move to balance the exit of Donald Glover from the series. If so, we wonder who else they have in store.
Jason Nash’s web series for GQ, How To Be a Man, has been pretty great. We don’t know how much actually valuable manly advice we’re getting from it, but it’s worth a damn good laugh.

Fox Renews ‘The Simpsons’ For 26th Season
The Simpsons have been running for so long, it’s weird to even think that they are getting renewed as opposed to just assuming they’ll just keep being on air (even with talk of the show bowing out relatively soon).
Either way, we’re looking forward to more guest directing of the opening credits.
Bo Burnham Is Releasing His New Standup Special Online for Free
Bo Burnham already has a poetry book out Egghead out, and, if that’s not enough Bo for you, this stand up special will be released online soon and at not cost to you.
We’re curious to see how this fares for Bo as to whether it goes, in a sense, viral, which it very well might.
The very funny Dave Stone got to make his late night stand up debut last night on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and got to share his take on living in a van and how esoteric hunting jokes can get in the South.
David Letterman Extends CBS Deal Through 2015
We’d hope that David Letterman does something like he did for his 20th Anniversary with Bill Murray to celebrate the occasion of extending his contract and keep doing stuff like that because it was pretty great.
We’d be happy to watch that type of Late Show well through 2015.
