Our first Night Cap comedy show is tonight at Goorin Bros. Melrose (7627 Melrose to be exact) and it just got a nice write-up in the LA Weekly in case you needed more encouragement.

Also, the great Joe DeRosa will be joining us too in addition to the already fantastic line-up of Maria Bamford, Baron Vaughn, Margot Leitman, and Andy Peters (as well as some dude who works here at The Comedy Bureau)

You’ve heard plenty about how podcasting is a burgeoning medium, especially when it comes to comedy. Well, now there will be a whole documentary about how far reaching and powerful it is for both the podcaster and their listeners in Ear Buds, a documentary on podcasting.

Chris Mancini and Graham Elwood of Comedy Film Nerds need your help to finish this documentary via Kickstarter that will feature the likes of Marc Maron, Jimmy Pardo, Welcome to Nightvale, Aisha Tyler, Scott Aukerman, Doug Benson, and so much more.

As of this post, there’s less than 70 hours to help them reach their goal, so please donate to make it happen.

The Lego Movie has hit that rare intersection of being family friendly, a box office success, and well received by critics, so it’s expected that news of a sequel would come. Let’s hope that Phil Lord and Chris Miller will still be heavily involved.

So we guest we’ll all have the song Everything Is Awesome stuck in our heads until the sequel three years from now.

The very funny Grant Lyon recently performed to one of the worst audience members we’ve seen in a while. A low level professional wrestler kept heckling during the whole show, even though Grant seemed to have the room with him, which is already pretty bad. But, at one point, the guy came on stage and kneed Grant in the balls. Grant stood his ground, but the idea that he had to is absolutely ludicrous.

Andy Sandford, once part of the great comedy quartet known as The Beards of Comedy, is now releasing his very first comedy album me the whole time on Feb. 25th.

Just on the merit of him having a masterful meta “Who’s on first” joke, you should pick this album up, but know that Andy is consistently hilarious and sharp the whole way through every we time we see him.
