We’re glad to see the TV ecosystem act properly and giving more guest starring roles to Billy Eichner.

A guest starring role on New Girl coming up as an annoyed airline employee is exactly what should be happening for Eichner. We’re sure Billy screaming at an airport will be that episode’s highlight.

Richard Ayoade, director of Submarine and The Double, has just released a book, Ayoade on Ayoade.

It contains several interviews of the director, which is a sort of book that has become commonplace in the cinematic canon. However, they are interviews conducted by Ayoade himself of, as the title suggests, himself.

On top of that a description of the book says, “Over ten brilliantly insightful and often erotic interviews, Ayoade examines himself fully and without mercy, leading a breathless investigation into this once-in-a-generation visionary”.

So, naturally, we’re on board for this ride that Ayoade is taking us on of himself. Get a copy of Ayoade on Ayoade here.

Every time Bill Murray comes on to The Late Show with David Letterman, it’s a pretty magical time.

Whether he’s merely telling true stories or thinking up of who should be in the female reboot of The Ghostbusters or “training for a marathon” or getting back from George Clooney’s wedding, Bill and Dave have some damn good fun.

Hopefully, Bill’s on a few more times before Dave leaves The Late Show.

Saturday Night Live’s Chris Kelly is making a huge step forward with not only moving up to the director’s seat, but making his directorial debut one of a film following a gay SNL writer having to go home to take care of his ill mother and take care of other personal issues.

Jesse Plemons and Sissy Spacek are set to star in this film Other People. We’re not sure to what extent SNL is going to play into the movie, but this might be up the alley of all those still missing Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip.

Paul Feig’s Other Space, his upcoming Yahoo series, is starting to shape up as it’s gathered up a great cast in Joel Hodgson and Trace Beaulieu from a famous comedy series set in space, Mystery Science Theater 3000, in addition to a great bunch in Eugene Cordero, Neil Casey, Milana Vayntrub, Conor Leslie, Bess Rous, and Karen Soni.

Feig is going to delve into what it would be like if man explored most of the universe is the type, which leaves plenty of room for echoes of Undeclared and Freaks and Geeks.

We’re absolutely looking forward to this when it comes around next year.

FX’s latest addition to their development slate, they’ve picked up a script from comedians Tone Bell and Mark Agee for a sitcom following four guys from different backgrounds trying to live in peace.

There isn’t any word whether this would head towards FX or FXx or whether it’ll be single camera or multi-cam (with this premise, either could work), but we’re glad to hear that Bell and Agee have their own project possibly coming up for pilot season.

HBO Is Officially Going to Have a Stand-Alone Online Streaming Service

Many a friend, family member, etc. has begged other friends and family members for their HBO GO password over the last couple of years as HBO currently doesn’t not offer HBO GO by itself. In order to watch as much Veep, Girls, Silicon Valley, and, very soon, The Comeback whenever one pleased, one had to have an HBO subscription.

Well, that’s all changing as, sometime in 2015, HBO has just announced that they will indeed have that stand alone service that will go toe-to-toe with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and more.

With a veritable stand alone HBO GO, we’re not sure how anyone is going to get anything done anymore other than the people that make those shows.

UCB Sunset Having Its Grand Opening on Nov. 1st, Inner Sanctum Cafe Open Now

If you live in LA, you’ve probably driven past the new Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and Training Center on Sunset Blvd. several times, wondering when it’s going to open.

Actually, you can go in right now as there’s a cafe called Inner Sanctum that’s been open for around a week already. However, according to LA Weekly’s interview with Matt Besser, the grand opening, complete with live performances will be on Nov. 1st.

We’re excited for this space and what it has to offer as, just from the naked eye, it looks bigger than the UCB Theatre on Franklin and it’s not that far at all from there either (5 min. drive). Also, this is only part of a new wave of comedy specific performance spaces that are just now opening throughout LA like The Clubhouse.

We’ll be sure to tell you when UCB Sunset’s schedule is up.

In case you haven’t heard, Stephen Colbert is set to leave The Colbert Show after almost a decade at the end of 2014 in order to replace David Letterman at The Late Show.

In fact, there’s only 32 episodes left of The Colbert Report as was announced last night by Stephen himself. They should all be a doozy or, as he says, “instant classics”.

So, on the final episode, you guess is as good is ours as to what might happen. We’re guessing something in the realm of the Colbert going to switch out his glasses, perhaps take off a espionage grade latex mask off his own face to signal the end of the “character” Stephen Colbert.

With several movies already planned in the expansion of the film universe of LEGO, LEGO has now added a TV series on to that development slate.

There are plans now to make a reality TV style series that would track the lives of Master Builders, the LEGO characters that can supposedly build anything that they can imagine with whatever LEGO bricks they have around them.

We’re curious how to see all these sequels and especially this TV series will compare to how good the original LEGO Movie was considering that Phil Lord and Chris Miller aren’t directing every single one of these projects.

Following Mad Men, many have pondered what Christina Hendricks next role would be. It seems that she’ll take after her co-stars Jon Hamm and Elisabeth Moss and more who have taken on more comedic roles outside of AMC.

Hendricks has just joined the cast of the faux reality show set in the 1900s Another Period coming to Comedy Central making a perfect addition to stars Natasha Leggero and Riki Lindhome.

We have no doubt that there will be side-by-side .gifs of Joan Holloway and Hendricks character on Another Period and what they would potentially think of each other.
