Yes, there are plenty of fan sites that are dedicated to plenty of comedians or just comedians in general.

That being said, we really appreciate the pun as well as an opportunity to look back at the depth and breadth of Karen Kilgariff’s comedic excellence. This includes her work that ranges from Mr. Show to My Favorite Murder to her own stand-up and top notch comedic songs, all of which we love dearly.

James Adomian’s Sebastian Gorka Responds to Gorka’s Hungarian Arrest Warrant

You’ve might have heard that an arrest warrant has been issued for ex-Trump aide Sebastian Gorka in Hungary.

Without fail, Adomian’s Gorka, now a fixture of the Chapo Trap House podcast universe, has a few histrionic things to say about that.

Please watch and enjoy them on repeat here.

The Joel McHale You First Met at “The Soup” Might Be Coming Back with “The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale” at Netflix

For several seasons, Joel McHale was dissecting pop culture at the helm of The Soup on E!

Now, he’ll get to do a very similar thing in Netflix’s new weekly topical series The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale described as such, “The weekly half-hour series takes a sharp, absurdist look at pop culture and news from across the globe, in a fast distillation of everything people are talking about that week. It will feature celebrity guests, comedy sketches, and, of course, video clips from TV, sports, politics, celebrity culture, and every nook and cranny of the internet.”

Also, Paul Feig will be executive producing, which does have us curious how the show might possibly look and feel (we’re going to guess decidedly different than The Soup, especially from this “reveal” of their set).

They’ll definitely have to do something to stand out from a crowded topical comedy show field (Last Week Tonight, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, Desus & Mero, The Daily Show, The Opposition, The Rundown with Robin Thede, etc. etc.)

Natasha Leggero Shares Her James Toback Sexual Harassment Story

Natasha Leggero Shares Her James Toback Sexual Harassment Story

As Natasha Leggero said herself in this interview, sexual harassment amongst women is so pervasive that she forgot that it had happened until hundreds of other women started speaking up. Natasha’s story is important and features yet another account of Toback’s abuse of power and Leggero tells the story with plenty of levity.

Hopefully, we can get to all collectively have sexual assault, harassment, abuse, misconduct, misbehavior so far behind us that we can be where Leggero is today.

The Flight Of The Conchords Will Be Returning to HBO in the Form of a Comedy Special

This special will actually have Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement perform live in front of a big crowd in the UK that will air in May.

Details beyond that are sparse, but we can only hope that Kristen Schaal and Rhys Darby make some cameos as well.

Amazon Studios Signs Sharon Horgan to Overall Deal

As Sharon Horgan is now, more than ever before, a true power player in comedy as a writer, actress, and director, maybe they’ll get to doing a new version of Pulling as was planned a few years ago?

In any case, Amazon is smart to make sure that Horgan doesn’t get too comfy with Divorce over at competitor HBO by allowing her to develop whatever she wants at Amazon.

CBS Secures Digital Multicast Rights for All 11 Seasons of ‘The Carol Burnett Show’

It’s kind of hard to imagine that The Carol Burnett Show wouldn’t stand the test of time. It’s one of the comedy institutions on which much of the comedy you enjoy today, especially sketch comedy, can trace its roots back to.

So, CBS has rights to digitally distribute all 11 seasons of The Carol Burnett Show however they please. Let’s hope that they put it up for streaming in the very not so distant future.

Comedy Central’s First Live Daily Morning Radio Show Will Be “You Up with Nikki Glaser” on SiriusXM

Nikki Glaser having her own show again (Not Safe and Nikki and Sara Live ended far too early in our opinion) was long overdue.

This time around, you’ll get to hear Nikki along with Tom Thakkar four days a week, Mon.-Thurs., from 7AM-9AM PST on Comedy Central’s SiriusXM Channel (they’ll repeat it for those not up that early).

For those that decry stereotypical morning radio, this will be a welcome change of pace.

The Jim Jefferies Show Renewed by Comedy Central

Twenty more episodes of The Jim Jefferies Show will be coming to Comedy Central later this year, which continues the network down the highly topical path they started last year with this show, The President Show, and The Opposition with Jordan Klepper.

Let’s see if they can top having Brad Pitt as a “weatherman” this season.

–@conanobrien

Conan O’Brien’s Conan Without Borders has developed from what used to be a special out-of-the-studio part of Conan into a full-fledged goodwill initiative. With Trump as POTUS, there’s plenty to do in that regard and it looks like O’Brien will be starting off 2018 by going to a country that Trump referred to as a “sh*thole country” when discussing immigration reform with lawmakers.

So, we can’t wait to see what Team Coco comes up with in hopping around the world this year.

Amazon to Stream Marvelous Mrs. Maisel for Free This Weekend

Following the big Golden Globes wins for Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Amazon wants to make a big push, kind of like they did with Transparent when the critical acclaim for the series started rolling in, for more viewers.

For the purposes of bingeing, the series only has 8 episodes thus far, but they are almost an hour long each. Plan accordingly.

Fairfax Theater, LLC Takes Over Silent Movie Theatre from Cinefamily

One of the sad losses in LA venues in 2017 was Cinefamily. Also, it happened in disastrous fashion as its downfall was the beginning of the wave of sexual harassment and abuse claims that has been reverberating through every inch of the entertainment industry since.

It would seem now that it will be reopened under a new name as Fairfax Theater, LLC has been registered by the reported owner of The Silent Movie Theatre.

Just in case you forgot, Cinefamily hosted a number of comedy events including the Benson Movie Interruption, Wayne Federman International Film Festival, Supertight, and many more (as well as several screening of classic and cult comedies from all over the world).

Any other details as to what will happen and when that’ll be have yet to be announced, but we’ll keep you posted.

Hulu Orders Two Seasons Worth of an Animaniacs Reboot, Complete with Steven Spielberg Back as an EP

For those that remember the Animaniacs’ “Apocalypse Now” parody, we’re curious to see how they’ll handle being the sort of cartoon they were in these times.

In 2017, there was an animated TV landscape ripe with plenty of adult animation (or even something that straddles several age demographics like Rick and Morty) that was much different than what it was in 1998 (the last time the Animaniacs series was on the air).

We’ll just have to wait to see in 2020 when Hulu is aiming to premiere this reboot.

Guy Who Repeatedly Challenges Legality of ‘Ladies Only Nights’ in Court Sues Iliza Shlesinger for Barring Him from “Girls Night In” Show at Largo

It seems that there is legal precedent under California law for this suit to exist (the story would likely be much different if it was a private party or, perhaps, a free show), but this also looks like a very twisted, flawed understanding of how to bring about equality between the sexes by the men suing Shlesinger.

Men just can’t have enough, can they?

Whatever happens will be an important distinction for live entertainment, especially, in regards to comedy shows going forward.

You, however, can take a tiny sliver of solace in the fact that the plaintiff’s name is George St. George.

Both Williams and Robinson along with some of their favorite comedians will be featured throughout the four specials in what should make for a better February next year than last year.

Here’s a teaser complete with some dope thrones.

MacArthur Foundation Is Giving $100 Million Prize to Start a Middle Eastern Version of Sesame Street/Muppets in Order to Upgrade Their Childhood Development Programs

Yep, Muppets are headed to the Middle East.

Together, The MacArthur Foundation, The Sesame Workshop, and the International Rescue Committee are aiming to provide entertaining and educational children’s TV to Syrian refugees as well as kids in all across the Middle East (including Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq).

Notably, it will be made just for them and the lives they lead, which will undoubtedly make for one of the most fascinating corners of the Sesame Street/Muppets universe in addition to providing valuable edutainment.

HBO Developing Male Bisexual Dating Comedy from Travon Free with Issa Rae as EP

Issa Rae is becoming a power player over at HBO as this is one of two shows in development at HBO that she will be executive producing on top of cranking out her own show Insecure.

“Him or Her” comes from Travon Free and focuses on what life is like for a bisexual black man in this day and age. The subject matter will undoubtedly be eye-opening and possibly a great window into intersectionality for those who are still struggling with the term.

Jack Black Confirms That a Tenacious D Post-Apocalyptic Rock Opera Is in the Works

While on Conan, Jack Black confirmed that Jables and KG will return in the not so distant future with a Tenacious D comedy rock opera. After some considerable time off and a foray into jazz, it’s about time for a new hour or so of Tenacious D.

Black didn’t give up too many details, but just the notion that it’s underway should be exciting enough.

As it is “post-apocalyptic rock opera”, it should also be the perfect soundtrack for our time.

Curb Your Enthusiasm Renewed for 10th Season at HBO

Officially, this means that Curb Your Enthusiasm will have had more seasons than Seinfeld. Also, think about how rare it is that live action scripted series get to double digit seasons these days. Truly, Larry David has built a comedy empire off of being annoyed about things.

Production for the tenth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm will start Spring 2018.
