Watch Joe DeRosa’s Set on The Pete Holmes Show
Though it’s very sad news that The Pete Holmes Show has been canceled, there’s still plenty you can enjoy all the way until next month.
Though it’s very sad news that The Pete Holmes Show has been canceled, there’s still plenty you can enjoy all the way until next month.
The very funny NYC based Mike Recine made his first stand up appearance ever on Conan this week and, along with that, we’re reminded of how ridiculous that Mrs. Doubtfire movie is as well as the harsh rules of The Special Olympics.
Myq Kaplan has been having bits of his stand-up animated over the past year or so and the result has been pretty great.
Thanks to animator Robert Potter, we get to see every nuance of this Kaplan bit on drugs brought to life. Watch it here.
The Pete Holmes Show capped off a great week with having Jamie Lee do a stand-up set. She may say that she looks like a fun aunt, but we can’t remember the last time our aunt was really great at telling jokes (as opposed to awkwardly dancing at family reunion).
You guys really should be watching more Tom Segura for how beautifully simple and hysterical his comedy is.
Here’s his set from The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson this week to start off.
Dan Soder got invited back to do stand-up again on Conan and tell us all of how great a Gin Rummy player his grandma is (i.e. she’s ruthless).
As mentioned above, the very funny Brent Sullivan made his late night stand up debut this week on The Pete Holmes Show. From this set, you can note that getting letters that you sent yourself from 10 years ago might be not as great an experience as it was sending them.
Not only did Rob Gleeson showcase his abilities as a very funny comedian during his set on Conan last night, but he also did his entire set about coming out and identifying himself as gay.
The set was earnest, personal, heartfelt, and hilarious in a way that most people, even in 2014, wouldn’t probably think of if they heard the label “gay comedian”. Hopefully, they’ll think otherwise afterwards.
Please watch Gleeson’s Conan set here.
Not only can you watch the very funny Joe Mande do some of his stand-up from his set this week at Late Night with Seth Meyers, you can hear about that one time he fell into a job at Maury.
The amazing Eliza Skinner got to do stand up on The Pete Holmes Show last night and you should really watch it whether you caught it live on air or not.
Really, she’s a name you should already know or commit to memory for how unbelievably talented and funny she is. Watch her set here.
One of the few comedians who can enact an Inception-like number of layers within his bits, Todd Glass goes on Set List and does what you’d expect with riffing on the idea of doing material on the topic instead of doing the topic and making it still funny.
The Pete Holmes Show is on a roll with stand up as most recently shown by the hilarious Jared Logan this week.
We’ve known about how great Ian Karmel is for awhile, but now the rest of the world can find that out as he just notched in his first stand up appearance on Conan last night.
The hilarious Adam Cayton-Holland put up a great stand up set on The Pete Holmes Show this week, especially for his advice on prom.
Late Night with Seth Meyers has just closed out its first week pretty well as far as new late night hosts go.
In fact, the end of the week saw their very first stand up performance featuring the very funny Michael Che.
Last night, Ted Alexandro graced the stage at Conan and gave us all well crafted comedic insight about classical radio and gay rights.
Cast of NBC’s Undateable (Ron Funches, Chris D’Elia, Brent Morin, Rick Glassman) Going on Tour
Whether it’s in promotion of the upcoming sitcom Undateable at NBC or just touring for the hell of it, Ron Funches, Chris D’Elia, Brent Morin, and Rick Glassman going to tell jokes around the country with series co-creator Bill Lawrence hosting is something you should probably catch.
Cities, dates, and their respective tickets at the link.
There is a select group of comedians that riff so wonderfully that doing improvised stand up at Set List for them is almost second nature.
The amazing Eddie Pepitone is one such individual and you should watch his “set list” now.
The very funny Fortune Feimster put together a nice set on Conan this week that you should check out. There’s a pretty great indirect shout to Old Navy in there as well.
If you don’t know Ron Funches, then we envy how magical the next 5 minutes will be watching him for the first time in this return appearance on Conan from last night.
After, that you can watch his first great set and also be amazed/doubled over laughing.
Scottish comedian Daniel Sloss returns, and only after exactly 2 months since his last set, to Conan for, as said above, another great set. His born gay vs. as a choice joke is particularly great.
The very funny Brooke Van Poppelen from NYC was on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
We’re really glad to both see more stand up on late night as of the past few months (go check Conan, Ferguson, Letterman, Arsenio, etc.) and it’s comedians like Van Poppelen getting to take the stage.
Though having had a Comedy Central half hour special as well as appearing on John Oliver’s NY Stand Up Show and Totally Biased, the very funny Sheng Wang hadn’t notched a late night set at one of the more traditional late night programs until now.
Watch his nicely done first set on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon here.
Really, you need to watch Chris Fairbanks be absolutely Chris Fairbanks on Conan and kill it during a late night stand up set.
OK, enough of that, now get to watching.
Myq Kaplan has become a Late Show with David Letterman regular with this latest appearance notching his 3rd set on Letterman.
Give a watch to see Myq show why he’s routinely invited back to The Late Show.
