Weekly show, Sauce Comedy, is using June to put on an entire all-female comedy festival that does indeed feature some of the best comedians (see for yourself in the flyer above) that LA has to offer.

Perfectly called Pizza Coven, there are five Fridays in June that will make up this festival held at Desano’s Pizza in Hollywood.

A swell stand-up show, a pop-up shop for items from people’s past relationships, and proceeds going to Planned Parenthood? Sounds pretty swell to us.

This show Ex-Collection, hosted by Kayla Rosenberg, will take place this Thursday at Junior High. Admission is at $5 at the door. Get more details here.

Just like millions of other people are doing and will be doing, comedy will be doing its part to keep as many vulnerable people safe as possible. This Hell Toupee: An ACLU Benefit, which should be a hell of a show too (in the colloquial-good-way), is just the start of that.

Get your tickets here.

Flyer by Jamie Loftus.

At this week’s Meltdown with Jonah & Kumail, Riley Silverman, a trans female comedian, touched upon the continuing trouble that the TSA has when someone who is transgendered goes through routine airport security.

To say the least, they’re still figuring a lot of stuff out, which is why #TravelingWhileTrans is a hot button topic and has made for a nice, new five for Riley.

Watch Riley’s story here.
