It has been far too long since The Green Room with Paul Provenza has been on the air. A groundbreaking series on Showtime that showed comedy panel shows can work in America so long as it’s more of an open, unstructured conversation not unlike that between comedians in a typical comedy club green room.

Thankfully, Paul Provenza (director of The Aristocrats, author of ¡SATIRISTAS!, producer of Set List: Standup Without A Net) has transformed his backyard into the perfect place to have a live version of The Green Room (and has brought us at The Comedy Bureau on board) to bring back those one-of-a-kind conversations between all sorts of great comedians from all backgrounds, generations, and ideologies, etc. You’ll be able to watch this particular version of The Green Room with Paul Provenza virtually via Nowhere Comedy, as it will eb done in front of a live audience in Paul’s own charming compound.

Going live on Sat. Jul. 23rd at 7:30PM PT/10:30PM ET with Christina Catherine Martinez, Kira Soltanovich, Jamie Kilstein, and Ben Gleib, as well as, of course, Paul Provenza, there will be stand-up and then the signature panel conversation between all the comics. Tickets are $10 right now, but you can snag VIP tickets where you can ask the panel a question for $30. Go get them here and revel in and enjoy the return of the one and only Green Room.

At this side of the pandemic with a good deal of live, in-person comedy happening every night, the prospect of tuning into virtual comedy has to be something really special. Fortunately, Sara Schaefer’s night of stand-up done completely in miniatures at her beautifully crafted miniature comedy club “The Haha Hole” is very much that very, very special thing that’s worth going back on Zoom for.

Sara has another Evening at the Haha Hole lined up for this Thursday, Sept. 23rd via Nowhere Comedy on Zoom, with another dive into our conception of what a comedy club is or might be as well as some really great stand-up, performed in miniature of course, from the likes of Naomi Ekperigin, Danielle Perez, and Debra DiGiovanni.

Do not miss out on this one-of-a-kind virtual comedy show no matter where you are in the world. This edition of Evening at the Haha Hole is set for 9/23 at 6PM PT/9PM ET and tickets are $15. All the early bird tickets already sold out, so you best snag your tickets pretty soon.

Pick of the Day: An Evening at the Haha Hole (Virtual) 7/22

Sara Schaefer has many, many talents and skills. Lots of them are in and throughout the comedic arts, but Sara also expresses herself quite beautifully through miniatures. Her knack for crafts has led her to build several miniatures dioramas and houses that are quite detailed, especially during the pandemic.

Naturally, this was going to intersect with comedy at some point and, as such, Sara has built a to-scale replica miniature of an old school comedy club, complete with a ridiculous name “The Haha Hole” and she’s now going to host a virtual comedy show from this miniature comedy club via livestream at Nowhere Comedy Club. Joining her will be the comedy stylings of Patton Oswalt and Kristal Adams, definitely making this an event that you shouldn’t miss no matter where it’s actually happening.

An Evening at the Haha Hole is set to go live on Thurs. Jul. 22nd at 6PM PT/9PM ET. Tickets are going for $10 and you ought to go snag ’em here.

Pick of the Day: Johnny Pemberton at Nowhere 6/8

News
johnny pemberton, nowhere comedy, stand up

Johnny Pemberton is one of the most dynamic comedians to watch, no matter what he’s doing or where he’s performing. His wild characters and his absurdist stand-up were and remain one of our favorite things to watch.

In fact, we always will hold Kiss My Ass with Dicker Troy (a mystical truck driver/DJ played by Johnny Pemberton) and Josh Fadem at The Satellite LA as one of our all time favorite shows to go to.

Pemberton is set to do a virtual headlining gig at Nowhere Comedy Club next month and we have no doubt that he’s going to make something special out of the virtual comedy space.

Johnny Pemberton at Nowhere is set to go live at Tues. Jun. 8th at 6PM PT/9PM ET. Tickets are $10 for earlybirds and $15 for GA and you can (and should) go get them here.

There’s only a handful of comedians that hit the ground running with virtual comedy and have been keeping it up ever since lockdown started. One of those folks is the very funny Teresa Lee how was a long time co-host of the IG stand-up live-stream Comedy Quarantine for several months, done all sorts of Zoom/Twitch shows, and even recorded an album with a virtual audience of every joke she did in 2020. Essentially, she figured out doing comedy on all these online based platforms and has been thriving ever since.

Teresa is pushing forward even further down the virtual comedy path with a headlining gig at one of the biggest virtual venues around, Nowhere Comedy, next Thurs., Apr. 15th. The great comedic stylings of both Troy Walker and Jes Tom will be joining Teresa as well.

Teresa Lee & Friends goes live on Apr. 15th at 6PM PT/9PM ET. Tickets/access are going for $10 and you should absolutely go get them here.
