That time of the year where San Francisco gets overtaken by a three week full tilt extravaganza of comedy known as the SF Sketchfest is just around the corner (Jan. 9th-26th).

For this 19th edition, they’re stacking the line-up, per usual, with more than you can probably handle.

So far, just a fraction of their line-up includes:

Maria Bamford, Fred Armisen, Macaulay Culkin, Patton Oswalt, Margaret Cho, Chris Redd, The Chris Gethard Show, Tributes to Busy Philipps, Robert Klein, Sandra Bernhard, Tony Shaloub, Freestyle Love Supreme with Lin Manuel Miranda, the casts and creators of Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Airplane!

Know full well that there are so many (probably hundreds) of other things yet to be announced as SF Sketchfest is legitimately one of the world’s biggest comedy festivals.

Tickets go on sale this Sun. Nov. 24th at 10AM PST. Once they’re available, go get ‘em here.

Lauren Lapkus and More Announce Outside Lands 2015 Line-up

More festival line-up announcements need to go like this.

In a similar fashion to SF Sketchfest’s line-up announcement video, The Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival had fun playing with the idea of announcing the line-up as a mother played by Lauren Lapkus would tell you what’s going to be on the dinner table or other weirdly out-of-place scenes with the likes of Dave Theune and Demorge Brown to be discussing what acts will be playing a giants arts and music festival.

Watch the announcement video here. Then, you can get more details on Outside Lands, which runs from Aug. 7-9, here.

Bonnaroo Lineup Announcement To Be Hosted by Taran Killam and Hannibal Buress

We can’t think of, off the top our head, another festival that does its line-up  announcement awards show style, but good move going with Taran Killam and Hannibal Buress. We’re sure, with those two in place in addition to The Flaming Lips and more, it’ll be a fun thing to watch.

Take note, The Oscars and several other awards shows.

Dais for Comedy Central’s Roast of James Franco Has Jeff Ross, Nick Kroll, Sarah Silverman, and More

Well, so far, there are no “stunt celebrities” on the dais for Comedy Central’s latest roast that are just there for the simple spectacle without any real comedy chops. Bill Hader, Jonah Hill, Nick Kroll, Natasha Leggero, Jeff Ross, and Sarah Silverman are pretty solid.

That’s great to see, for now, but we are surprised that Jay Baruchel and Danny McBride aren’t in this announcement as This Is The End must have been just a warm up for this.
