NYC’s very funny Christian Finnegan was in LA this week to do, so we found out, stand up on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
Watch the nicely done set from Finnegan here.
Chad Daniels comes back to the stage at Conan for his second set at the show. Though they’re are definitely some purists who would disagree, we’re glad to see more comics dressing how they want during the late night sets like Daniels does here with a hoodie and letting their comedy speak for itself.
Watch Chad Daniels return here.
Seth Meyers walking from the Saturday Night Live stage to his stage next door might not be the biggest surprise for his first promo of Late Night when he takes over Feb. 25th, but do realize that SNL, Late Night, and The Tonight Show will all be under the same roof.
We’re just saying, get ready for plenty of show crossover bits.
Watch the first promo for Late Night with Seth Meyers here.
Seth Meyers Might Have a More Streamlined Version of ‘Late Night’
If you’ve seen Seth Meyers in his tenure at SNL, you can make an educated guess that his taking over Late Night will be more than a little different than Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
According to Meyers in a recent interview, there will be less music and more sketches, which seems to be the new streamlined version of the late night talk show format that networks have been going for (The Pete Holmes Show, Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, Nikki and Sara Live).
You’re probably curious as we are to see where Late Night with Seth Meyers will fit in with “@midnight” & Pete Holmes Show just ending along with Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on,
Jimmy Fallon Doing Best of Late Night Special Before Going to The Tonight Show
On Jan. 5th at 9PM, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon will air a special 2 hour “best of” episode chronicling all they’ve done over the last 5 years before Jimmy Fallon takes on his new gig as host of The Tonight Show after The Olympics.
We’d hope this will include all the bits with fake arms or we might think about calling shenanigans.

Just going off the initial posters, this might be the first time that Late Night on NBC looks a little more serious than The Tonight Show.
Just compare the first key art of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon above to Late Night with Seth Meyers.
The Pete Holmes Show had its first stand up performance last night featuring the very funny Gabe Liedman!
Watch Liedman’s great set and The Pete Holmes Show milestone here.
See First Poster ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’
All of you with photoshop skills don’t have to imagine what the next era of Late Night at NBC hosted by Seth Meyers will look like around on billboards, banner ads, bus ads, and more across the country ramping up to the transition in February.
EW has the exclusive first poster for Late Night with Seth Meyers.
‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ Has Staffed Up
With the likes of humorous folks such as Alex Baze, Alison Agosti, John Lutz, and more, we’re starting to have a good feeling about the transition of NBC’s Late Night from Jimmy Fallon to Seth Meyers.
We can’t wait to see what they come up with Post Olympics.
The very first Improvisation Comedy Club, now known internationally as The Improv with several locations across the U.S., was founded by Budd Friedman and he stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to wax nostalgic about Jimmy coming up in comedy.
Watch a nice walk down comedy lane between Budd and Jimmy here.
The very funny Joe Zimmerman had quite the stand up set last night on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferugson. Because of it, doctors may need to change nomenclature, the next presidential biopic may already be in the works, and some good news for someone with the last name Zimmerman has finally arrived.
The legendary Bill Cosby stopped by again at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and well, was everything you’d expect out an awesome, delightful late night appearance for Cosby (i.e. messing with the band, crowd, and host).
Watch parts one, two, three, and four and make your Tuesday feel that much better.
Last night, we though we were just going to see the hilarious Nate Bargatze serve up another great set on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
While that did happen, Fallon also announced that Nate, after his last appearance on the show, signed a sitcom development deal with NBC. So, congratulations to Nate on that and let’s all hope that NBC has this go to series soon.
Watch the set and deal announcement here.
A.D. Miles Set As Head Writer Of ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’
In only a few months, Jimmy Fallon is taking the reins to The Tonight Show and it looks like, as you’d expect, he’s taking his whole team with him, head writer A.D. Miles and The Roots included.
Considering they’re staying in NYC, how much different will The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon be from Late Night with Jimmy Fallon really?
Outside of comedy, the renowned Tim Conway (Google The Carol Burnett Show or his own show The Tim Conway Show for you youngsters out there) wanted to ride horses for a living, but didn’t have what it took, so (thankfully) ended up in comedy.
Hear what happened from his chat with Jimmy Fallon on Late Night last night and then pick up his memoir What’s So Funny?: My Hilarious Life where you can get more stories exactly like that.
Since The Pete Holmes Show premiered yesterday, Pete got some “sage” advice from none other than Jon Stewart on the set of The Daily Show in order to prepare for the long haul.

Conan having dinner with Jordan Schlansky
Conan joining an old time baseball league
Conan starting a boy band
Hunter S. Thompson taking Conan shooting
and much more!
So congratulations to Conan for an amazing 20 years and let the Conan nostalgia binge begin!
Team Fallon does not disappoint as the king of late night talk show games Jimmy Fallon when bowling against Chris Hardwick and company. This latest episode of Hardwick’s All Star Celebrity Bowling is really inspiring to all of us to step up our bowling trash talk.
‘Up Late With Alec Baldwin’ Premieres Tonight at MSNBC
Alec Baldwin joins the late night foray with his own talk show Up Late with Alec Baldwin on MSNBC. It premieres tonight at 10PM and probably won’t be anything like the rest of late night, even The Daily Show, Real Time with Bill Maher, or Totally Biased.
Late night TV is just getting more expansive every day.
Conan’s continuing the great classic late night tradition of bringing back very funny stand up comedians that were funny on their program.
Just check Erin Foley’s 2nd set on Conan from last night as a great example.
Tina Fey stopped by Late Night Jimmy Fallon last night leading up to her hosting the season premiere of SNL and she couldn’t be more wonderful of a parent, especially for how geeky her kids are and how she addresses an apparent nip slip from the Emmys to all of America on late night television in a family friendly way.
Conan had the damn funny Mike Lawrence back from last year to do another stand up set and there’s good for reason for that.
Just watch Mike’s applause break filled set here to see why.
Lexus To Have Improvisers Do Live Ad During Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
An interesting experiment is coming tonight in advertising in an attempt for you to not mute, walk away, look at your mobile device and ignore a TV commercial. In promotion of a new car model, Lexus is having improvisers take suggestions, then improvise a car commercial during the broadcast of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
Our guess is that they are in no way going to call this “Whose Car Is This Anyway?”, right?
Ricky Gervais to Tour as David Brent
Amidst chatting with Jimmy Fallon on Late Night, Ricky Gervais mentioned that he is going to actually tour as David Brent as a singer-songwriter. Exactly where and when has yet to be announced officially, but Gervais says that there will definitely be secret shows to come.
Also, there’s an attempt at twerking by Gervais at the end of this clip if you’re into that sort of thing.
