Few things cement that fact more than his rounds on the late night talk show circuit which start at The Tonight Show. Also, you have to give it up for John getting who he got to do the voiceover for Mulaney’s intro.

Though there have been famous verbal jousts between Bill O’Reilly and Jon Stewart in the past, it would seem the host of The O’Reilly Factor has a much different relationship with Stephen Colbert and The Colbert Report.

Bill O’Reilly called out Colbert for poking fun at his plan for a internationally funded mercenary force to deal with the conflict in the Middle East. Of course, Colbert wasn’t going to let that go, especially since they’re “on” the same side.

Watch his response here.

Enlisted’s Kevin Biegel and Mike Royce have been tapped to develop the hit comedy Big starring Tom Hanks into a comedy series for Fox.

There’s no word on who would star or how much they’ll stick to the original movie (i.e. a kid could be turned into an adult by a Zoltar machine), but there’s potential here especially if they get someone like, perhaps, Chris Pratt to star.

So, The Simpsons made sure that there couch gag on that night would be like nothing we’ve seen before. So they enlisted award winning animator and filmmaker Don Hertzfeldt to make an uber-futuristic couch gag and he did not disappoint.

If you have Hulu Plus, you can watch “The Simpsons Guy” right now and get your fix for meta Simpsons/Family guy jokes all in a few clicks.

Having mastered the challenges of adapting 21 Jump Street and LEGO into successful film franchises, Phil Lord and Chris Miller are now being tasked with bringing 80s TV series The Greatest American Hero to the 21st century television.

Fox, which is already set to premiere Lord and Miller’s Last Man on Earth in the coming months, has made a put pilot commitment for the project that Lord and Miller will be executive producing with Rodney Rothman writing.

While reviving a sitcom about a teacher who gets a suit endowed with super powers from the 80s may seem daunting, Phil and Chris would be the duo to pull it off.

Network development slates seem to be getting on a musical comedy train. Just this week HBO and Fox have bought musical comedies from Peter Knight/Jason Winer and Bruce Eric Kaplan respectively.

Knight and Winer’s project will be a contemporary family comedy with original songs and Kaplan’s will follow three generations of women here in LA. Both have potential to be great, especially since many of miss the days of Flight of the Conchords.

Let’s hope these projects will make for an intriguing pilot season.

The award winning Brooklyn Nine-Nine is returning for its second season on Sept. 28th 8:30PM on Fox, but you can get a first look now of what might happen for the series sophomore turn.

At the very least, you can enjoy fictional sitcom cops who don’t racially profile or are over militarized.

Kaitlin Olson is taking some time away from Paddy’s Pub and the crazed schemes of Mac, Dennis, Charlie, and Frank to now trying to woo Rob Reiner who plays Jess/Zooey Deschanel’s dad. Olson’s character will also be rivals to Jess and Cece as they were at odds with each other since high school.

Perhaps, there will be a nod to Sweet Dee with Kaitlin saying something like “I will eat your babies, bitch!”

The Golden Globes winning series Brooklyn Nine Nine will be returning to Fox Sept. 28th for its second season.

While that’s certainly a reason to get excited, Jenny Slate, who we hope you all thoroughly enjoyed in Obvious Child this year, will also be guest starring on that very same season premiere episode.

We wouldn’t be surprised if this is only the start of what Brooklyn Nine Nine has up its sleeve for this season.

Also, Rob Lowe and Rob Riggle’s tennis comedy pilot The Pro and legal comedy Sober Companion starring Nick Frost and Justin Long are still being considered at Fox.

We’re glad to hear that all these projects are still in play and will keep our fingers crossed as long as we can in hopes that they get picked up.

The contracts of Noel Wells and John Milhiser, much like Brooks Wheelan, were not renewed for the next season of Saturday Night Live. Nasim Pedrad is also leaving for Mulaney, which is making its series premiere this Fall on Fox.

With three cast members gone and the fate of the cast member who got bumped up from staff writer, Michael Patrick O’Brien, up in the air, one has to wonder if SNL will do a large casting overhaul for next season just like they did for this season.

Fox Adds Funny or Die Exec Conor Welch as VP of Comedy

With Kevin Reilly out, Fox is having to switching up their ranks quite a bit. Namely, Conor Welch will be joining Fox as their VP of Comedy after serving as an executive at Funny or Die and working at Ben Stiller‘s Red Hour.

Given how Fox tried to bring an Adult Swim/Funny or Die sensibility with Fox ADHD, we hope that Welch will continue to be in that ball park.

Fox Signs First Look Deal with Burning Love’s Jonathan Stern and Keith Quinn

As they should be, Fox is thoroughly impressed by the success of Burning Love going from a web series to full fledged TV series. As a result, they have signed Burning Love producers Jonathan Stern and Keith Quinn to a first look deal where they will develop digital content that’s intended to make its way to TV.

Even though Fox is keeping Fox ADHD around, they’re still for more alternative platform comedy and signing Stern and Quinn isn’t a bad place to start.

That’s right. Bob’s Burgers is going to expand to having its own comic book like many Fox animated series have done in the past.

It’s set to release in August from Dynamite Entertainment and will be completely be written and illustrated by the folks behind Bob’s Burgers.

So, we think it will definitely stay true to the show.

Watch this trailer directed by Key & Peele’s Peter Atencio.

There Will Be a Simpsons/Family Guy Crossover Episode Later This Year

The Simpsons and Family Guy, after being on TV together, are actually, for the first time, having a crossover episode. It will be an hour long, so it will cover the time slots of both shows.

We wonder if this means that they are going to come up with the most elaborate couch gag yet. The Simpsons Guy, as it is being called, will air in September.

Fox Orders 10 Additional Episodes of Mulaney

Fox’s Kevin Reilly is really doubling down on ditching the pilot season model as Fox has just ordered ten more episodes of John Mulaney’s multi-cam sitcom Mulaney. This will bump the show up to a 16 episode first season, a rarity these days to the normal 6-8 episode order for new shows.

Hopefully, this move will work out in the long run, both for Mulaney and TV series, in general, getting a bit of a chance to develop.

Not that you’d be surprised, but this is all pretty great and worth watching now.

Though Sober Companion is centered on another self-destructive lawyer, the fact that Nick Frost is the star opposite Justin Long has us hooked.

Good casting, Fox.
