Though, this time, they’ll be doing so as themselves sans any sort of puppetry or outer space back drop. Join them at Dynasty Typewriter later this month for Destroy All Movies to revel in their razor sharp, speedy riffing.

As an endlessly curious mind, David Huntsberger and his comedy really dig into and questioning the human experience, especially when it comes to the science of it all and the limits of what we know about the universe. So, you can only imagine that he’s going to do something really trippy in taping a comedy special (FYI, he’s going to do “something” really cool with “VR”).

You really ought to see what Huntsberger got cooking for the taping of his comedy special at Dynasty Typewriter this Sunday. Tickets are $15 in adv. and $20 day of.

However, we can get you in for free so long as you e-mail us at thecomedybureau@gmail.com about wanting to go to David Huntsberger’s stand-up comedy special taping.

Mary Beth Barone’s daring PSA/talk show Drag His Ass: a f*ckboy treatment program about f*ckboys and how to get off of them (both literally and figuratively) was one of our favorite things that we saw in 2019.

So, naturally, we’re going to tell you to go to the latest edition of Drag His Ass, which is perfectly right before Valentine’s Day. Get tickets here.

Demi Adejuyigbe never ceases to amaze in the ambition of and conception of his bits and the scope at which he expands them to.

Case in point, his latest show wherein he will do an amazing multimedia variety show with great guests (Lizzy Cooperman and Sarah Squirm are fantastic), as he normally would with any show he’s involved in and a single backflip with no prior experience or training. The spectacle alone, whatever it may be, has to be worth the price of admission.

Tickets for Demi Adejuyigbe Is Going To Do One (1) Backflip are $15 now and $20 on the day of and you can (and very, very, very much should) get them here. It very well may be the first great thing you see in 2020.

Of the things to look forward to in 2020, we’re adding a monthly slot at Dynasty Typewriter for The Dollop Podcast to the list (in fact, we’d probably put it near the top). The crucial and hysterical comedy history podcast hosted by Dave Anthony and Gareth Reynolds has become such a podcast that it regularly tours around the country and the world sharing perhaps the most entertaining versions of some of the weirdest and darkest stories in history.

The live episodes are really something special and you ought to know, in LA, they’ll be getting some damn fine guests TBA.

Anyhow, this monthly Dollop at Dynasty Typewriter will be raising money for various charities FYI, making this residency even more wonderful than already is.

Their first date is Tues. Feb. 11th at 8PM and tickets are $20 right now (and $25 on the day of-though we suspect they might be sold out before then). Go get them here quick.

This Monday at Dynasty Typewriter will feature two entirely different, but completely worth going to holiday themed comedy/storytelling shows back-to-back! Also, it could be viewed as a double feature of sorts for the brilliant Drew Droege!

First, Drew will host in character with Mitch Silpa obsessing over gossip, celebrity dish and in their own characters’ lives in Two Old Queens Celebrating the Holidays. The likes of James Adomian, Michaela Watkins, and Jillian Bell will be joining them in improvising the whole show.

Immediately after, Drew will be one of a handful of storytellers including the wonderful Laura House sharing their stories about their dead parents for Happy Holidays! Our Parent/s Are Dead. (we have no doubt it’ll be funny and endearing).

If you’re looking for holidays themed comedy, Dynasty Typewriter might be the place to go on Mon. Dec. 16th. Tickets for both shows are $10 right now and $15 on the day of. Get them here and here respectively.

Next Thursday, on Nov. 7th 8PM, at Dynasty Typewriter, Jason and Randy Sklar will feature the comedy stylings of Jak Knight, Jessimae Peluso, Matt Braunger, Kyle Ayers, Jay Chandrasekhar, Rhea Butcher, and Ryan Sickler and then try to “tag up” their jokes, which their so damn good at.

Her mastery of blending the grotesque and the comedic is something to behold (and so damn funny). Helltrap Nightmare became and stayed a cornerstone show for comedy that was “out there” in Chicago as you can read in a lovely farewell piece in the Chicago Tribune.

So, we’re thrilled to her that she’s making the move to LA and bringing all of Helltrap Nightmare with her, starting with a date at Dynasty Typewriter. Please go get your tickets now for $10 before they kick up to $15 on the day of.

By “it”, we mean putting on a dazzling display of how linguistically masterful he is via having comedians solve a crossword puzzle live on stage that is superbly weaved into a theme with jokes, stories, etc. all throughout. It’s quite the spectacle to see especially if you’re wondering how solving a crossword can be a live show.
