Andres du Bouchet is absolutely one of our favorite comedians to watch. Every performance is nuanced, absurd, richly textured piece and it’s simultaneously amazing and hilarious to watch.

So, we’ve been excited for his brand new album 20-Sided Guy, for some time now, as it features so many of those performances, some of which we were lucky to be at, all throughout Los Angeles and the various bizarre and/or wonderful places you can see comedy in this town.

The good folks at AST Records has released a vinyl version featuring 45 min. of du Bouchet with a link to download the full deluxe 2-hr version of 20-Sided Guy.

If you need a laugh today, we suggest that you get in on getting 20-Sided Guy now. Also, if you’re interested, du Bouchet’s release party in LA is also tonight at The Federal Bar in North Hollywood.

Since Jules Winfield suggested that he was going to simply walk the earth in Pulp Fiction 20 years ago, we’ve always wondered what a living person like that would actually be like.

Well, comedian Glenn Wool just happens to be such a person that has traded a home for doing comedy all over the world, wherever he can. Also, you should note that you have to be one hell of a comedian that walks the earth from gig to gig and Wool definitely fits the bill.

Get his brand new album out from Stand Up! Records "No Land’s Man“ (incidentally the same title as Aasif Mandvi’s new book that you should also get) and you’ll see why we say that. Here’s a clip to give you a bit of preview.

AST Records has made it 3 for 3 this week for debut comedy albums from comedians that makes us bust up laughing. There has been Andy Peters’ Exclamation Mark Question Point and Paul Danke’s DANK.

Streets of Fire, the first album from Barry Rothbart, who you’ve most certainly somewhere on late night between Conan, The Tonight Show, Ferguson, etc., got released of AST’s label and should definitely be on your list of what to listen to that isn’t Serial.

We’d say if you collected all three that you would get a novelty prize item of some sorts, but, honestly, the comedy stylings of this trio should be enough.

Paul Danke’s Debut Comedy Album “DANK” Also Out Now from AST Records

Comedy Central has been killing it on their channel as well as in the digital arena with CC:Studios, but they’ve got two albums line-up for release of their Comedy Central Records label that should make sure they’re doing quite well on that front well.

Come Nov. 4th, Cristela’s Cristela Alonzo will release “Some of the Hits” and the great Nick Vatterott will release “For Amusement Only”. Be sure to grab these up next Tues as we suspect that you won’t regret one bit.

When John Mulaney released his great stand-up special New In Town, longtime friend and compatriot Dan Mintz interviewed him “Between Two Ferns” style.

So, it’s only appropriate that Mulaney would return the favor for Mintz with the release of Mintz’s brand new comedy album “The Stranger”.

The last of this week’s plethora of comedy releases that you need to shell out for is definitely something you’ve probably haven’t seen or heard in comedy. The very funny Ryan Conner went ahead and recorded his comedy album Johnny Cash style by going to an old prison to perform.

Live From an Old Prison was recorded at Lorton Prison near Washington D.C. To our knowledge, while many comedians have served time in a correctional facility and have even gone back to perform for others that have been jailed, we don’t know of any that actually recorded an album or taped a special in one.

On top of that, Ryan Conner’s got one hell of a life story that you should hear about in his comedy.

So, get his album on iTunes, CD Baby, or pay what you want starting at $1 at Gumroad.

Along with the great myriad of comedy releases that you should get in on this week, Dylan Brody’s Dylan Goes Electric: Live at the Throckmorton should be added to your list.

This latest album of Brody’s came out this past Tues. and has been our favorite of his the comedian and storyteller’s discography thus far. When Bob Dylan went electric (we’re assuming that’s what Brody is referencing with his album title; our apologies if he’s not) all those decades ago, there was a divide that came between his fans. This particular Dylan and this record definitely doesn’t have that problem as Brody’s ornate storytelling are injected, in this record, with a great playfulness.

Get Dylan Goes Electric: Live at the Throckmorton from Rooftop Comedy here.

Tim Gilbert, hailing from Toronto, Canada, has just put out a great comedy album this week and you can have and listen to it over and over for whatever price you choose.

It’s called Please Help Me I Am Very Sick and is a fun, dark romp through Gilbert’s life and we suggest you get your copy and enjoy.

As far as whether you have to use currency in paying what you want (i.e. barter system?), we’re not sure, but the important this is that you get and listen to Gilbert’s album.
