If you know and love Kyle Kinane, you ought to know that one of his purposes in life must be two be the voice of an anthropomorphized dinosaur in a cool jacket and sunglasses just like the one in Jason Merrin’s animated project Action Dinosaur.

They’re looking for finishing funds via Kickstarter, specifically $20K over the next 26 days (as of this post being written).

Here’s their Kickstarter promo to explain the whole project further.

If you can, please support it so the world can enjoy Kinane (whose lovely voice you’ve heard in stand-up and all over Comedy Central) as a rad dinosaur.

It would seem that Bill Burr’s F Is For Family paved the way for animated comedies dealing with childhood, but aren’t necessarily “family friendly”.

From Nick Kroll:

It’s about the beautiful nightmare that is puberty and adolescence. The show is based on me and my childhood best friend Andrew Goldberg’s real lives in middle school. It premieres on @netflix September 29th. I cannot wait for people to see it! Cast includes: me, @johnmulaney @jennyslate #jessiklein #jasonmantzoukas @sordociego (Fred Armisen) #mayarudolph @jordanpeele and many more amazingly talented folks.

Watch these teasers and you’ll see exactly what Kroll is saying.

Big Mouth starts streaming on Netflix on Friday, September 29th.

Colbert’s Cartoon Trump to Get Its Own Show on Showtime

Colbert’s Cartoon Trump to Get Its Own Show on Showtime

As a sitting U.S. President, Trump might just have broken new ground by provoking two major cable TV networks to order series that portray a clearly negative version of him even though he’s the lead character. We’re pretty sure that has never happened to any other U.S. President.

Yet, The President Show on Comedy Central and this newly ordered ‘Cartoon Trump’ spin-off from The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s Cartoon Trump segments on Showtime furthers Trump being in a class that’s all his own.

Both Colbert and Late Show’s Chris Licht will be helming the project.

Louis CK and Albert Brooks Will Be a Buddy Cop Duo in an Animated Series EP’d by Greg Daniels at TBS

Louis CK and Albert Brooks Will Be a Buddy Cop Duo in an Animated Series EP’d by Greg Daniels at TBS

Those are three names that will automatically generate instant, big time buzz about a comedy series. All three are living and working comedy legends and this show seems like the TV version of those rock supergroups, but for comedy fans.

Even though this is an animated series, the presence of CK and Brooks and the existence of Angie Tribeca on TBS leads us to think that this series will be more a little more, if not a lot more, serious than Tribeca.

Aside from all of that, CK will basically be the cop that he was on Parks and Recreation, right?

A week before Christmas, all of us with access to Netflix will get an early holiday present in the form of an animated comedy series from Bill Burr.

His series F is for Family is coming out on Dec. 18th on Netflix and you can get a small glimpse into family sitcom that probably isn’t meant as family friendly in this brief teaser.

Comedy Central Orders “Jeff and Some Aliens” From “Trip Tank” To Series

As far as alien centric entertainment goes, Jeff and Some Aliens is definitely better title than Independence Day Resurgence.

Once part of the animated series, Trip Tank, that featured several different cartoons, Jeff and Some Aliens from Sean Donnelly and Alessandro Minoli has gotten the upgrade to a full fledged series, much in the same way that Golan the Insatiable got upgraded from Fox ADHD all the way to a full Fox animated series.

Coupled with Moonbeam City, Comedy Central’s got some exciting stuff on their animated programming slate.

Titmouse Animation Is Making a “Three Stooges” Animated Series

While you might have been let down by the recent feature adaptations, Titmouse Animation might be the ones to put your faith back in the classic comedy institution that is The Three Stooges.

The animation studio that brings you many of Adult Swim’s cartoons including China, IL, The Venture Bros., Superjail!, and Metalocalypse will be taking a crack at The Three Stooges and, we think, will probably translate them for modern audiences quite well.

They’ll be making 52 eleven minute episodes, so there will be plenty to binge watch when they get released.

Here’s The Trailer For Fox’s Upcoming Animated Series “Golan The Insatiable”

Aubrey Plaza voices a misunderstood goth girl and Rob Riggle voices an ancient demon and the two become friends in Fox’s latest animated series Golan The Insatiable, coming from Fox ADHD.

The casting seems pretty on point here and, though the premise is darker than The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, American Dad, or Family Guy, this trailer shows that Golan could potentially be as goofy and absurd as the rest of the bunch.

We’ll find out if that’s so when Golan The Insatiable premieres on May 31st at 9:30PM on Fox.

Netflix Orders 70s Animated Series “F Is For Family” Created by Bill Burr and Mike Price

While the label of being the next Louis C.K. has been put on Bill Burr from time to time, Burr has insisted that, as nice as that is, he’s not C.K.

In the sense that he’s expanding from being one of the most beloved stand-ups currently working today to creating and starring in shows, Burr is certainly moving in the same direction that C.K. has and we have no doubt he’s going to be great at it.

He already has a pilot ordered by FX, Pariah, and now, Bill has just scored a series order from Netflix for an animated 70s family comedy he co-created with The Simpsons’ Mike Price that will be titled F Is For Family. Burr will also be voicing the head of the family along with a great cast of Laura Dern and Justin Long.

In case it isn’t clear, we love everything about this.

On Sept. 21st, Adult Swim will premiere a brand new animated series Mr. Pickles from Will Carsola and Dave Stewart that, in fitting with Adult Swim’s branding, follows a secretly evil border collie named Mr. Pickles.

There isn’t a trailer yet, but the voices of Jay Johnston from Mr. Show, Frank Collison, Kaitlyn Robrock, along with Will Carsola and Dave Stewart make for a solid cast.

Along with Mike Tyson Mysteries also set for a series premiere in a few months, this should be quite the fall for animated series at Adult Swim.
