While many a man can be distracted by a well-endowed bosom, that is not the way that Ms. Pat’s titties saved her from a shootout. It’s not a sentence you get to hear everyday, but it’s one that just happens to be singularly true.

Hear her whole story in the latest installment of This Is Not Happening with Ari Shaffir.

Will Ferrell To Produce and Star in Underground Gambling Comedy “The House”

In any other hands, the premise of having to raise money for a daughter’s college fund might go over-the-top in a way that’s been overplayed over the last several years.

However, Will Ferrell returning to a sort of Old School vibe in such a movie, with a starring role no less, might be worth keeping tabs on.

So, we’ll just wait and see what a trailer for what will be called The House soon enough after their shoot this Summer and we can only they don’t play all the funniest bits in said trailer.

Net Neutrality Has Been Preserved in 3-2 Vote; You Can Keep Doing/Consuming Whatever Comedy You Want Online

(via NPR)

It’s been a long wait to see what the word would be on whether Net Neutrality and prevention of Internet Service Providers charging different rates for differing types of Internet traffic would stand.

Today, the FCC voted 3-2 in favor of adopting Net Neutrality and reclassifying the Internet as a public utility.

So, that means you will be able to watch and listen as well as make whatever shows, podcasts, livestreams, specials, etc. online at no extra charge. John Oliver does a pretty bang up job of explaining it as well.

The fine print has yet to be released or explained, but keeping the likes of ISPs at bay as the victory here today.

Make sure you celebrate that freedom by, probably, continuing whatever bizarre sketch you were watching or meme that you’re currently posting everywhere.

Fortunately, he was let in and found the people of Cuba to be a delight as well as into his antics.

Listen to the story of the upcoming, historic Conan In Cuba episode on The Daily Show.

Earwolf Selling Harris Wittels Memorial Comedy Bang! Bang! T-Shirt To Benefit Scholarship Fund

Many in the comedy world are still processing the untimely loss of Harris Wittels as it has been said over and over that he had so much more to give had he stuck around.

As that’s the case, podcast giant Earwolf has printed a special Comedy Bang! Bang! T-shirt with the Harris credo “Motherf*ckers Just Wanna Laugh”.

You can pre-order the shirt for $20 and all proceeds will go to a scholarship that has been set up in memory of Harris. While you’re rewatching all of Parks and Recreation or listening to old episodes of Comedy Bang! Bang! or Analyzing Phish, this is another pretty nice way of remembering Harris.

Don’t Stop or We’ll Die was another example of the wonderful silliness that emanated from Harris Wittels. He played drums for the band that walked a fine line between solid pop and comedy along with Paul Rust and Michael Cassady.

A great music video for their song Lisa was just released today.

Watch, enjoy, and remember fondly.

Danny Pudi to Star in “Strange Calls” Pilot on NBC

While Parks and Recreation and The Office are over, Community and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt finding their way online, and Must See TV dropped, NBC is at a big crossroads as to where there comedy will be headed.

More and more this pilot season, NBC seems like they would like to keep some of their stars around from their last era of sitcoms. Community’s Danny Pudi has now been set to star in the pilot for Strange Calls, adapted from a high concept Australian horror sitcom, as the lead. He’d play a well-meaning police officer that has to deal with secretly supernatural town in the sticks. So, we guess it’d be like Eureka, but more supernatural and with Pudi.

Already, NBC has Adam Scott who just finished up with Parks and Recreation developing a dispensary comedy with Joe Mande, leaving us to wonder what’s to come for comedy series at the peacock.

Here’s a teaser and you’ll see exactly what we’re talking about.

Future Worm is set to premiere later this year.

From Apr. 15th-May 17th, Nick and Megan will embark on their delightfully titled “Summer of 69: No Apostrophe” tour that stops in over 20 cities including San Francisco, Dallas, Atlanta, Eugene, Detroit, Nashville, New Orleans, Chicago, and many more. Tickets are now on sale here.

In the middle of that tour, they will be taping a special, presumably of the same great name, in Milwaukee on May 8th (via The Laugh Button)

On top of all of that, Offerman is also gearing up for the release of his second book, Gumption: Relighting the Torch of Freedom with America’s Gutsiest Troublemakers. The book will follow Offerman highlighting some of Offerman/Ron Swanson’s favorite American heroes. It’s set for release on May 26th.

If you live in Hollywood, you learn almost instantly that it’s far removed from the glitz and glamour that’s depicted on stage and screen. One great example of that is the Ralphs on Sunset Blvd. that’s open 24/7, affectionately called the “Rock n’ Roll Ralphs”.

Steve Rannazzisi had an ordeal there that gives you an idea of why this Ralphs is “special” and has earned its “rock n’ roll” status in a story for This Is Not Happening with Ari Shaffir.

Craig Ferguson To Star In ABC Comedy Pilot “King of 7B” and Probably Forego Hosting a Show Soon

(via The Hollywood Reporter)

There has been more than plenty of speculation as to what Craig Ferguson was going to do post Late Late Show at CBS. For awhile, there was talk of him hosting a primetime syndicated talk show, which ended up falling through during negotiations with individual stations. Some have even tossed his hat in the ring for stepping in for Jon Stewart when he leaves The Daily Show.

Well, much of that chatter can now be quieted, for now at least, as Craig will be starring in the the ABC comedy pilot “King of 7B”. It’s a single camera comedy that follows Craig as an agoraphobic who tries to overcome his fear for love, possibly.

It’s only a pilot, so there’s the chance that he might end up doing something else later this year, but you can place a pretty safe bet it won’t be hosting a talk show that airs nightly.

Trevor Moore has a brand new comedy special coming to Comedy Central next week after his Drunk Texts to Myself, Trevor Moore: High in Church. There will be sketches, songs, dancing girls, as well as the exploration of what a parallel kitty universe would be like.

How exactly would a “kitty universe” be like ours? Luckily, Trevor has a music video to show you just how cats are exactly just like us in every way, no matter how dark it is, in some alternate universe.

After that, be sure to watch Trevor Moore: High in Church Fri. Mar. 6th at midnight on Comedy Central.
