Andy Peters is one the most gut-bustingly funny people we know and he will be on TruTV’s web clip show Clipaholics, hosted by Jason Alexander, TONIGHT at 10PM. He will be playing comedian “Hacky Jack”. Nearly every other late night show has gone dark this week, so if you have any other doubts, just watch this awesome clip of Andy talking about his love of pro wrestling.

Defy Jon Benjamin’s wishes and watch his hilarious series Jon Benjamin Has A Van on Netflix Instant. (We know you have Friday off and even if you don’t, what are you doing that you can’t watch this today.)

Joe Mande is coming to Los Angeles to write for Parks and Recreation. Hopefully, this won’t change professional status of shutting basketball players down on Twitter.

Daniel Tosh’s new animated series Brickleberry is coming to Comedy Central this September. While there is a significant amount of people offended by Tosh.0, it be hard to imagine that Tosh cross the line further than other animated programs on Comedy Central.
Brooke Posch to head Comedy Central’s East Coast Development and Production. 
Moonrise Kingdom topples speciality box office records. As much as anyone would like it to be, this is not the reason that the GI:Joe sequel was pushed back to 2013. 
Both John Fox and Al Gordon, long time veterans of comedy, have passed away this week.

Chris Gethard is on his way, essentially hitchhiking, to The Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Tennessee after starting here in LA at the UCB Theatre. Gethard is getting a ride from someone who is tolerating him after a group of friends, one of which is named Reptar, bailed. Parents who were big enough fans of Rugrats apparently raise unreliable kids.

Not to worry LAPD or anyone scanning social media for keywords, we’re just having a comedy festival. Riot, the highly anticipated comedy festival coming to downtown LA in the fall finally is set for the weekend of Sept. 21st-23rd. That’s all the details for now, but from what we’ve heard, this is going to be something to start planning for right now.

Epic Meal Time got profiled as the “Pharaohs of the Grease Pyramid” on ABC’s Nightline. Also, Jon Berman tries asking if EPT feels any responsibility for the obesity problem in America.

TJ Miller made a short for Sundance called “I’m Having a Difficult Time Killing My Parents”. It’s funny, absurd, and also sincere and touching much like another short film he was in Charlie on Parole. Do you feel guilty now judging him for being in Yogi Bear? Do ya?

You could arguably call The Super Serious Show the fightin’ pride of LA Comedy. Certainly, they’ve gained quite the reputation within the LA county lines and have even toured to Moontower, Bridgetown, and SXSW. Now, they’re going to the world famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August to be part of the “yank” contingent of Hannibal Buress, Eddie Pepitone, Kumail Nanjiani, Rory Scovel, Kristine Levine, Set List, Rick Shapiro, and more.

BUT, they need your help/some money to make sure this all happens. Watch their Kickstarter video to squash any doubts about how great they are and then donate to your heart’s content (of which there should be plenty).

There’s no slinging of dirt and who went back on their word in the past, mostly because this ad for Portlandia on IFC to be considered for an Emmy has nothing to do with politics. Still, actual Portland Mayor Sam Adams, who is actually in the series with fictional mayor Kyle MacLachlan, giving a sincere and quirky request for Emmy votes is much better than “Amercia”. The musical that cleaned up the Tony Awards last year, brought to you by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, is now coming to Pantages Theatre. For almost two months from Sept. 5th to Nov. 25th, The Book of Mormon will have its run in Hollywood. Tickets go on sale starting at $30 Sun. Jun. 10th.

Eric Andre, dressed as Ronald McDonald, finally leaves McDonald’s where he was asking for a job at the counter. This concludes(?) the, at least for the time being, this harrowing three part saga.

Amidst an online back-and-forth that quickly escalated into a war on Twitter, comedian Jamie Kilstein (@jamiekilstein) and conservative columnist and writer Jonah Goldberg (@JonahNRO) have opted to settle their political differences in the ring.

Goldberg claims, “The fact that young people think socialism is better than capitalism, that’s proof of what social scientists call their stupidity and their ignorance and it’s something that conservatives have to work harder to beat out of them, either literally or figuratively as far as I’m concerned.” If you’re familiar with Kilstein’s politically charged comedy, his Citizen Radio show, and his support of socialism, then it’s no surprise that he didn’t take to the statement or, Goldberg overall, lightly. 

So, now there is a petition you can sign to see Kilstein v. Goldberg for a charity of their choice.

Finally, nearly all the late night talk shows are back from their extra-long Memorial Day Weekend, of which we’re sure they were working the whole time. This is exciting especially because last time Aubrey Plaza was on Leno, she performed a spell that for a moment made the show infinitely more watchable. So tonight, catch:
