In a world full of trailers that spoil all the details of the movie, shows the best, funniest, most action packed moments, and basically make it so you don’t really have to see the movie comes the trailer for The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Ben Stiller’s latest work as a director.
We don’t have much of an idea of what it’s about, what will happen in the movie, or even if it lives up to its adventure-comedy-drama genre category on IMDB, but, from the trailer, we think it’s going to be grand, funny, and something we want to definitely see come Christmas time.

In what might be an unprecedented event to promote a movie on its opening weekend, Regal Cinemas is screening what has been loosely coined as The Cornetto Trilogy (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, and The World’s End), a trio of films directed by Edgar Wright, written by Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright, and starring Nick Frost and Simon Pegg on Thurs. Aug. 22nd throughout their various franchises across the U.S.
So, basically, take Thurs. Aug. 22nd off.
Just announced yesterday, E! will have the other two seasons of Burning Love go to air from their cult following home online.
Based off how E! did it for the first season, we’re guessing that there will be half hour episodes made from a few webisodes that will have extra never before seen footage, so even if you’ve obsessively watched the series online, there will be new stuff to see.
Only catch is that you only have to wait until fall for them to start rolling out.

Paramount and Eddie Murphy Setting to Bring Beverly Hills Cop Back to the Big Screen
While there was some interest about there being a Beverly Hills Cop TV show, there should be much more excitement that Eddie Murphy is setting to return as Axel Foley on the big screen.
If this actually gets made, this would be one of the few Eddie Murphy comedies over the last couple of decades that people won’t immediately be making fun of for years.
Third Posthumously Released Patrice O’Neal Album Coming in August
Mr. P and Better Than You have been two recordings that have been released since the passing of Patrice O’Neal. Now a third full length album entitled “Unreleased” is coming next month and let’s all be thankful that O’Neal’s comedy keeps living on.
First off, congratulations to the hilarious Eliza Skinner in getting a staff writing position at Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell.
Secondly, congratulations to Totally Biased having one hell of a writing staff with Hari Kondabolu, Kevin Avery, Dwayne Kennedy, Guy Branum, Aparna Nancherla, Kevin Kataoka, Janine Brito, and now Eliza.
Basically, you should all be excited for Totally Biased expanding to several days a week soon.
Channel 101 Is Finally Back For Us All to Watch
After a month off, which makes us all wait two months, Dan Harmon and Rob Schrab’s Channel 101 is finally back. Give one of the best independent short form TV programs ever a watch with the only gatekeepers of which shows move on and get cancelled being the people who go down to the Downtown Independent Theater the last Saturday of every month and vote. Paul Scheer makes pretty much everything he does undeniably fun and damn funny even if it’s talking to journalists or being on panels in front of thousands of peoples being asked questions about the show he’s on, which could be rote like they often are, or they could end up firing t-shirt cannons or working on an alibi to kill the cast of Children’s Hospital like he did in a recent NTSF:SU:SUV interview with TV Line.
Danny McBride and Jody Hill Are Developing Comedy for HBO
Without Eastbound & Down having aired it’s final episode, Danny McBride is setting himself up quite nicely after series wraps.
Chozen on FXx got the greenlight and now this new project at Showtime is in development with long time collaborator Jody Hill (they first did the Foot Fist Way together), so McBride is well on his way to being more of a badass than Kenny Powers.
