Danny McBride and Jody Hill Are Developing Comedy for HBO
Without Eastbound & Down having aired it’s final episode, Danny McBride is setting himself up quite nicely after series wraps.
Chozen on FXx got the greenlight and now this new project at Showtime is in development with long time collaborator Jody Hill (they first did the Foot Fist Way together), so McBride is well on his way to being more of a badass than Kenny Powers.
Philip Seymour Hoffman to Star in Showtime Comedy Pilot
You may think of the Oscar winning actor as a completely dramatic actor, but Phillip Seymour Hoffman has been hilarious in such roles in movies like The Big Lebowski, The Savages, and even a memorable cameo in Along Came Polly.
That’s why we’re really definitely excited to see what comes from a Phillip Seymour Hoffman starring comedy pilot over at Showtime.
Brett Gelman and Jenny Slate Cast in FX Pilot
They’ll be joining Judy Greer and Nat Faxon on the Andrew Gurland pilot at FX for FXx. It sounds like quite the cast and, perhaps, this is a sign of things to come at FXx, which we’re liking the look of.
NBC Orders “Undateable” to Series
NBC ordering Bill Lawrence’s ‘Undateable’ means comedians Chris D’Elia, Brent Morin, Rick Glassman, Ron Funches will on be a network series together.
We’ll definitely be watching how this series develops.
As more networks are either expanding their comedy programming are entirely rebranding themselves as a comedy focused channel, Comedy Central has made a lot of great moves over the last year in what is getting to be one crowded race for comedy on television.
Today, they’ve ordered both an animated pilot from Will Gluck and Conan writer Scott Gairdnerand added another late night show hosted by Chris Hardwick and produced by Funny or Die/Robert Ben Garant/Thomas Lennon.
It will be interesting to see how this all plays out in the coming months.
Details on John Mulaney NBC Pilot and Seaton Smith Joins Cast
This is good news all around as John Mulaney’s pilot got another solid cast member in Seaton Smith and, apparently, Martin Short will be playing a game show host mentor to Mulaney.
We know we haven’t seen any clips or footage of any kind, but this better get picked up.
Adult Swim’s Next Pilot Order Goes to Former South Park Producer Pam Brady & Arden Myrin
Along with having NTSF:SD:SUV, Black Dynamite, and Eagleheart, Adult Swim, with this pilot, will have a parody, in some form of almost all police procedurals from every decade.
Rob Huebel Cast to Star in CBS Pilot
With Jason Woliner’s Eagleheart, Paul Scheer’s NTSF:SD:SUV, Aziz Ansari on Parks and Recreation, and now, Rob Huebel starring in a CBS pilot, the stars perhaps have aligned to have Human Giant television domination.
FX Orders Coen Brothers Series Based on Fargo and Charlie Kaufman Pilot

The fates of The Grawlix created “Those Who Can’t”, The Onion Presents The News with Jeffrey Tambor, and many more promising comedy series are up to the decision of you, Internet.
Let’s hope that everyone is proactive about this instead of sending bags of peanuts to the Amazon Studio offices after decisions are made.
America needs to understand that they should have as much Rory Scovel on their televisions as possible. We hope that everything Rory’s in gets picked up, cable, network, podcast, vine movies, and more.

Man, oh man, let’s all cross our fingers that this gets picked up not only to see June Diane Raphael, Jenny Slate, and Kristen Schaal to see on network television regularly, but this projects sounds greater and greater everyday.

This is great news on a couple levels. One, there might be another Greg Daniels show on TV. Two, Eric Andre might stay on network television while still doing The Eric Andre Show at Adult Swim.
