BoJack Horseman Season 3 Trailer Promises More of the Self Possessed, Conflicted BoJack That You’ve Come to Know and Love

June 29, 2016
Uncategorized

Even though BoJack Horseman is an animated series, it has made its mark on the TV landscape by being a show that paints with all the colors, both figuratively and literally. BoJack not only goes to the darkest and most dramatic corners of comedy, but balances it so well with the super clever humor in the alternate universe where animals and humans are on equal footing.

From the looks of this trailer, Season 3 looks like it’s only going to double down again on that formula and we can’t wait for it.

Look for all episodes to start streaming on July 22nd.

Now with a family, one might think that Jim Jefferies might ease up in his playing-with-fire style of stand-up, but it’s clear in this trailer that Jim Jefferies will be the very same edgy Jim Jefferies. With this latest special Freedumb on Netflix, he just points his unfiltered lens at what the world is like now that he has done the whole family thing for awhile.

Watch the trailer for Freedumb here, then look for it to start streaming on July 1st.

America! You can watch #LifeOnTheRoad exclusively on @Netflix next year. Or you can fly to The UK to watch in movie theatres this August 🙂

–@rickygervais

The movie spin-off of the British version of The Office that follows David Brent’s forced music career will come across the pond via Netflix exclusively. In the ongoing and growing streaming service rivalries, this is a pretty big get for Netflix

There isn’t a set release date yet, but Netflix will have plenty of stuff between now and then to binge watch.

Nick Kroll and John Mulaney Will Team Up Again in Animated Series “Big Mouth” at Netflix

This time they’ll be playing teenagers as opposed to old men with a lot of spunk.

Oh, Hello has brought Nick Kroll and John Mulaney to the forefront of comedy as two senior best friends who are very, very, very opinionated, especially when it comes to tuna.

Taking notice, Netflix has ordered an animated series from Kroll and Andrew Goldberg that will put the voices of Kroll and Mulaney in the starring roles of two teenagers going through hitting puberty along with Maya Rudolph and Jason Mantzoukas. As it’s animated, we’re sure that they’ll up the ante on how ridiculous they can get.

Look for Big Mouth to start streaming in 2017.

We had a feeling that Maria Bamford and Mitch Hurwitz might collaborate once again after Maria shining in season 4 of Arrested Development.

Trailer for “Chelsea” on Netflix Shows That Chelsea Handler Will Be Venturing Outside of a Studio a Lot

May 9, 2016
Uncategorized

There’s a lot of anticipation over Chelsea Handler’s new show Chelsea. It’s Netflix first talk show as well as their first show that will be releasing episodes three times a week as opposed to their traditional all-episodes-streaming model. Also, there will be no commercial breaks, which isn’t unprecedented, but further prompts a departure from the traditional late night talk show format.

More intriguing than all of that, it appears from the trailer that Handler will be venturing from behind a desk quite a bit for a ton of remote segments, not unlike what she did with those Chelsea Does specials. Given the ‘clip-focused’ direction of late night these days, that’s probably a smart move.

You won’t have to wonder what Chelsea was up to for all this time for much longer. Chelsea starts streaming this Wednesday on Netflix.

Good for Netflix in going, as far as we can tell, for the series order right away.

The satirical comedy Dear White People from Justin Simien will now be adapted into a TV series on Netflix. Simien is getting 10 episodes for this first season.

Given how much he was able to do with playing with racial tensions in a feature film, we can only ponder what he’ll be able to do with the latitude of a series on a streaming service.

We have a feeling that the latest comedy special that will be coming to Netflix might be a hell of a good one as it is an hour long stand-up special from the fantastic Ali Wong.

What might make it extra special aside from it being a “special” is that she dissects about becoming a mom and everything connected to that while pregnant.

Called Baby Cobra, it starts streaming on Friday, May 6th.

You can see a bit of what Ali has cooked up in this preview.

Her incredibly poignant, personal, hilarious, life affirming stand-up not only makes us double over laughing, but is something that makes us feel better about the world.

Naturally, it looks fantastic based on this trailer. Also, the appearances of Lennon Parham, Bridget Everett, Jason Mantzoukas, Sarah Silverman, Andy Daly, and more of your favorite comedy folks are a bonus.

Bill Burr’s suspicions that his darkly comedic stories from his childhood would be better served in an animated series seem to be well founded.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone now that Netflix is continuing the stable of critically acclaimed comedy they’ve got going.

Still, Bill Burr’s animated series F Is For Family getting a second season is something to celebrate with a plethora of expletives.
