IFC’s Maron Will Be on Netflix After Christmas
Dec. 28th, you can watch episodes of IFC’s Maron from the comfort of your Netflix account.
It’ll be the perfect thing to accompany the eye of the holiday storm between Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
We all, including Pete Holmes himself, love when Marc Maron, his so-called “comedy dad”, really digs into Pete. That’s what exactly happened on Maron’s appearance on The Pete Holmes Show last night.

Marc Maron and Ryan Singer in Bob Dylan’s Interactive Music Video for Like a Rolling Stone
If you haven’t seen the new super interactive video for Bob Dylan’s classic Like a Rolling Stone, do yourself a favor and do go watch that now. Also, while flipping through the channels (that’s right, you can flip through channels in the same music video-it will all make sense when you go watch it) is a “channel” of Marc Maron seemingly taping an episode of WTF with guest Ryan Singer mouthing the words to the song.
If that isn’t enough for you, Drew Carey while on the Price Is Right is also in there.
Marc Maron added to his record number of appearances on Conan last night by dissecting his ongoing struggle against and simultaneously for ice cream.

Comedy Gives Back Doing Digital Comedy Telethon for Malaria No More
The old school is meeting the new school with a livestream, multiplatform comedy benefit done in the style of a telethon for Comedy Gives Back for Malaria No More, an organization dedicated to eradicating Malaria.
On Wed. Nov. 6th, Dailymotion will be streaming globally a 24 hours of live comedy sourced from live shows taking place all the way from London to Los Angeles to Sydney featuring the likes of Reggie Watts, Greg Berhendt, Rhys Darby, Marc Maron, Rove McManus, Eugene Mirman, and more.

You’ve all been patiently waiting ever since This Has To Be Funny came out for the next comedy special/album to come from the mind of Marc Maron. Well, it took a little time because of that show he has on IFC, but now Thinky Pain is out to watch on Netflix.
You might have wondered what Marc Maron has been up to outside of doing his renowned WTF podcast.
Well, it would be a stand up (though he’s making quite the trademark of perching on a stool) special to come to all of us via Netflix Mon. Oct. 7th.

If the line-up wasn’t enough to get you to go, know that we went last year and had a blast that we wouldn’t have just listening to an episode of it later.
Every now and again, especially if you’re listening to a comedy podcast or watching comedians talk about comedy of the past, you might hear them reference “the Catskills”. It was a whole period in stand up comedy that largely took place at resorts in the Catskills Mountains where Sid Caesar, Mort Sahl, Jerry Stiller, and more came up.
In the documentary ‘When Comedy Went to School’, not only is this period covered, but the likes of Marc Maron and Jerry Seinfeld and how it affected their comedy.

IFC smartly renews Marc Maron’s autobiographical series Maron for another season further cementing their position as a solid comedy cable network in a burgeoning world of televised comedy.
Marc Maron and Jeff Ross Join ‘Flock of Dudes’
It’s interesting that a movie called “Flock of Dudes” that just added the cast of Marc Maron and Jeff Ross already having Hannibal Buress and Eric Andre in the cast who are all comics that really rally against the label of dude.
Either way, we’re further intrigued by this so-described “bro-breakup movie”.
Go figure that the last place that would probably pick up a series like Maron, CBS, would end up having Marc Maron on both The Late Show with David Letterman and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on the same night. Still, Maron’s great talking on interviewing Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner for WTF and his recent engagement to his soon to be 3rd wife.

Comedy Line-up for Bumbershoot 2013
From your Marc Marons to your Matt Bessers to your Morgan Murphys to your Jerrod Carmichaels to your Emily Hellers and even your Spicy News Networks and Competive Erotic Fan Ficitons, you’ll probably you get your comedy fix at this year’s Bumbershoot in Seattle, WA in Aug/Sept.

Marc Maron made an appearance on The Tonight Show to promote everything he’s doing (Maron on IFC, his book Attempting Normal). Maybe we’ll get an episode of WTF out of Leno now?
There’s a reason that Marc Maron has been on Conan so many times over the years.

Given that Marc Maron’s brand new IFC series ‘Maron’ premieres tonight with an episode that wasn’t the one uploaded to YouTube and the very funny Dan Soder and Nikki Glaser’s half hour Comedy Central specials are premiering tonight, maybe you should stay in or don’t feel so bad for staying in if that’s your normal routine on Friday night.
The season premiere of Maron is at 10PM on IFC and The Half Hour season premiere is at 12AM on Comedy Central.
Last night, Marc Maron stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to promote his book “Attempting Normal” and his upcoming IFC show ‘Maron’. Apparently, getting Michael Keaton on WTF was initially easier, then much harder than one would think.
Also, Marc breaks down the comedians pitching TV show process pretty nicely.
Marc Maron’s book “Attempting Normal” is out in bookstores today as well as Maron making an appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this evening (NBC 12:35AM). Those are in addition to the premiere of his IFC series ‘Maron’ starting this Friday at 10PM.
Is that enough to call this “Marc Maron Week”?
We’re not going to tell you to drop what you’re doing and watch the very first episode of the highly anticipated IFC series ’Maron’ based around the life of comedian/podcast kingpin Marc Maron, but are you really not going to do that?

Slowly, but surely the teasers/trailers have been getting longer for Marc Maron’s upcoming series on IFC “Maron”. You definitely get a better sense of the show which is largely based on his success from his podcast and features great cameos from Denis Leary, Illeana Douglas, Erik Charles Nielsen, and more.

We’d bet that you wouldn’t be completely surprised that Maron’s new IFC series would have the likes of Dave Foley, Bobcat Goldthwait, Jeff Garlin, Denis Leary, Aubrey Plaza, Ken Jeong, and more as guest stars. Either way, get excited for May 3rd.
