We’ve been wondering what the wonderful Garfunkel & Oates has been up to as far as a TV show is concerned ever since they did a series for HBO GO. Finally, they’ll be on actual televisions next year thanks to IFC.

There Will Be a Sequel to Steve Coogan’s ‘The Trip’ Sequel
If you’re unfamiliar with Steve Coogan as you’re on this side of the pond, please acquaint yourself with his work, then get excited for this sequel to The Trip that IFC will be distributing, a sort of Before Midnight without any of the relationship drama because they’re too busy making up jokes as they’re driving along.

Honestly, we can’t help but think that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is using a single Portlandia sketch to earn cool points over the NSA, especially because of that whole Prism thing.

It’s almost rare to hear that a show gets more than an episode order for the next season, but Portlandia has managed to do so by getting two more seasons over at IFC. Congratulations to them and the undoubted put a bird on it references we’re about to see all over Tumblr.
Teaser for IFC’s “The Spoils of Babylon” That Will Feature Will Ferrell, Kristen Wiig, Val Kilmer
Very few details are revealed in the teaser other than a promise of something astounding, but the anticipation of Will Ferrell doing a comedy mini-series over at IFC will undoubtedly grow over the next several months, especially since people like Kristen Wiig, Tim Robbins, Val Kilmer, Michael Sheen, and more will be in “The Spoils of Babylon” coming sometime in early 2014.
Friday July 12th will mark the premiere of the second season of Comedy Bang Bang as a sketch series on IFC. They’ve been shooting in LA over the past several weeks and we can’t wait to see what they have in store.
Given that Marc Maron’s brand new IFC series ‘Maron’ premieres tonight with an episode that wasn’t the one uploaded to YouTube and the very funny Dan Soder and Nikki Glaser’s half hour Comedy Central specials are premiering tonight, maybe you should stay in or don’t feel so bad for staying in if that’s your normal routine on Friday night.
The season premiere of Maron is at 10PM on IFC and The Half Hour season premiere is at 12AM on Comedy Central.
Last night, Marc Maron stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to promote his book “Attempting Normal” and his upcoming IFC show ‘Maron’. Apparently, getting Michael Keaton on WTF was initially easier, then much harder than one would think.
Also, Marc breaks down the comedians pitching TV show process pretty nicely.
Marc Maron’s book “Attempting Normal” is out in bookstores today as well as Maron making an appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this evening (NBC 12:35AM). Those are in addition to the premiere of his IFC series ‘Maron’ starting this Friday at 10PM.
