Conan Parodies Batman v Superman with “Conan v Andy”
Conan O’Brien, Andy Richter, and Team Coco know how to kick off their stay at Comic Con this week right.
Watch the showdown you’ve all been waiting for(?), Conan v Andy.
Conan O’Brien, Andy Richter, and Team Coco know how to kick off their stay at Comic Con this week right.
Watch the showdown you’ve all been waiting for(?), Conan v Andy.
Just a friendly reminder that Conan’s return to Comic Con is starting tonight and will run through Sunday at 11PM on TBS.
You’re going to want to get in on those Pop! Vinyl figures if you’re at SDCC by the way.
Conan O’Brien collectibles proved the worth last year when the first set of Conan Pop! Vinyl Figures fetched top dollar after their limited exclusive run at Comic Con in 2015.
With Conan and company returning to Comic Con again, they’ll be doing another round of Funko Pop! Vinyl figures with Conan as a Stormtrooper, Superman, The Joker, and a Ghostbuster.
On top of that, Conan’s made this new collection even more special than last year. See how he pulled that off here.
Conan still has some of the best bits in late night these days since he lets folks like Andrés du Bouchet run wild.
Watch du Bouchet play one of the most suspect sound men of all time here.
It’s rare that you see two late night hosts get really ‘inside baseball’ about their craft while on air on one of their own late night programs.
When it does happen, it’s fascinating as you’re pointed out subtle, subconscious nuances that probably contribute to why you love something like Full Frontal with Samantha Bee or Conan.
Team Coco must be a fun place to work.
Even when you’re caught redhanded for cheating your co-workers out of free food, it’ll be made into a really fun remote that probably involves way too much time and resources.
Watch the “food bust”, which even implicates people very high up at Conan, here.
Unbeknownst to Conan O’Brien, his longtime sidekick Andy Richter has had 18 books worth of rage published.
Last night, Andy showed them all off to Conan.
On top of how great of a bit this is, take notice how each cover consecutively zooms in on Andy’s face.
You may be well out of high school, but these cost-cutting life hacks from Conan’s propmaster Bill Tull are sure to come in “handy” when going to any formal event.
The always impressive verbal gymnastics of Myq Kaplan got coupled with a fascinating angle on whether it’s a better life choice to do drugs such as anything marijuana related or to have children.
The combination made for a great stand-up set from Myq on Conan that you should watch ASAP.
Conan associate producer Jordan Schlansky nerds out on a pristine, life size replica of Darth Vader’s helmet and Conan O’Brien, as you can imagine, has a few, or a lot, of things to say to say about that.
Forget about crunching the numbers of whether repeatedly buying piñatas would be cheaper than a gym membership.
To live up to the Greek life depicted in Neighbors 2, stars Seth Rogen and Zac Efron challenge Conan O’Brien to several rounds of Mario Kart 8 with the prospect of the loser’s face getting drawn on.
Fortunately, Conan had standards and practices at TBS send over a guide as to what wouldn’t get blurred or pixelated when opting to draw certain parts of the male anatomy on a face. That way, Conan’s beautiful visage wouldn’t get blurred no matter how demeaning the drawings on his face were.
The Conan in Korea special was pretty much everything you’d want it to be.
Not only do you get a great sense of how great Korea is and the history behind its people, but you also get to see things like Conan O’Brien do the string dance in a K-Pop music video.
Also on Conan’s itinerary was:
–being greeted like a rock star even though Conan doesn’t air in Korea
–annoying another foreign language instructor
–galavanting around a local fish market
–guest starring in a Korean soap opera with a very Conan-esque role
–hang at a Korean gaming cafe known as a “PC Bang”
–being goaded into breaking boards while trying Tae Kwon Do
–discovering that Steven Yeun doesn’t know as much about Korean food as he had hoped
–uncovering that certain Buddhist monks are more with the times than he thought
–doing a faux talk show ‘North Korea style’ while having his feet over in North Korean territory at the Joint Security Area
All in all, O’Brien proves yet again that he’s a great ambassador even though he’s intentionally parading around like a very tall clown.
11PM on TBS.
The latest travel special for Conan is tonight and it should be a doozy. On top of the normal hijinks that he does when abroad, O’Brien had a pet octopus, was in a K-Pop song and music video, guest starred in a soap opera, and more.
This is on at the same time as Nikki Glaser’s hour special, so you should just DVR one or the other.
According to this teaser for the upcoming Conan in Korea special , Conan O’Brien has quite the fan base in Korea and probably got to get more goofy than he has going anywhere else for a travel episode.
Be sure to watch Conan in Korea this Saturday on TBS at 11PM.

The Webby Awards allow you to vote for your favorites in each category and you have just over two weeks from when this article was posted to do so.
You can see the rest of the nominees and vote for them here.
You’ve only got to wait a week to see what Conan O’Brien was exactly doing with a pet octopus.
The latest Conan trip special, Conan in South Korea, will be premiering on Saturday, April 9th, outside of Conan’s typical Mon.-Thurs. schedule, on TBS.
Conan did indeed have a pet octopus and was in a K-Pop music video amongst other things, which will all make for another unforgettable set of hijinks when O’Brien gets let out of the studio to do these sort of specials.
Conan’s Matt O’Brien, recent head writer Mike Sweeney, Todd Levin, Jose Arroyo, Dan Cronin, Andres Du Bouchet, Rob Kutner, Jessie Gaskell, Levi MacDougall, and Leah Krinsky all join Thrilling Adventure Hour creator Ben Blacker for a conversation about the inner workings of the Conan’s writers’ room.
The Writers Panel: Inside the Conan Writers Room will be at The Nerdmelt Showroom on Thursday, Apr. 14th at 7PM. Tickets are $10.
The rest of our listings for comedy events and open mics along with corresponding maps are embedded at www.thecomedybureau.com.
In a very personal tribute in memory of the recently passed away Garry Shandling, Conan O’Brien pointed out why Garry was amazing outside of just being one of the comedy greats.
Shandling not only had done panel with Conan over the years, but Garry also offered counsel and emotional support to O’Brien in the days following the unfortunate end of hosting The Tonight Show. Conan told the story in detail on last night’s episode of his show.
Undoubtedly, this is only one in many stories to come of why Shandling was, is, and will be revered in the world of comedy and beyond.
The on-going weird friendship between Conan O’Brien and Conan associate producer Jordan Schlansky got its latest chapter in last night’s Conan.
What could be just a review of the Philips Norelco Bodygroom turned into one of the more awkward exchanges between Schlansky and Conan over the years. Also, you can see an iota of excitement from Jordan, probably for the first time.
The vetting process for where Conan O’Brien takes Conan next is pretty great. A very creative, sincere letter plus foreign snacks seem to do the trick.
On top of how great that is, O’Brien is continuing to go where no American late night talk show goes as South Korea is his next destination.
Watch the announcement here.
Honestly, we’re surprised that Carolina Panthers QB Cam Netwon walking out of the post Super Bowl press conference after his defeat isn’t more of a meme that the Internet has reveled in.
Either way, Conan does a pretty great job of sending up Newton and walk out that will probably haunt him forever.
After his latest trip abroad along with his show, Conan O’Brien fielded questions from his studio audience, which largely focused on where he was going next.
From the looks of it, Conan enjoys stepping away from the desk and going across the globe as much as we do and aims to do these special travel episodes of Conan far into the foreseeable future.
Honestly, the idea of an Anthony Bourdain of comedy is good enough for a spin off as far as we’re concerned, if Conan can fit it into his schedule.
Conan O’Brien delivers yet another classic remote segment where he actually goes to TBS’ head of Standards and Practices to see what might and might not get censored on the show.
Of course, Conan mines every bit of comedy gold out of this and then some. Watch it here.
Carol Burnett has such an illustrious comedy career for several decades. Any collection of stories from any of those years will give you proof of just how illustrious and great that career really was and why Burnett is revered as she is (getting a Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award this weekend for example).
On last night’s Conan, her particular collection of stories focused on how she learned her own stunts, her obsession with soap operas, and how she handled bombing on stage.
She could start her own podcast with all of the stories she has.
