Another great thing to watch on this President’s Day weekend is a brand new stand up special from Chris Porter now available for your convenience on Netflix.
The title for it may be Ugly and Angry, but Chris is really funny and thus with all three adjectives in mind, you should check it out now.
The very funny Ted Alexandro released his brand new stand up special I Did It yesterday and, as sort of a Valentine’s Day present to us all, you can pay what you want to have and watch it.

Line-up For Comedy Central’s ‘The Half-Hour’ For 2014
This is a really solid line-up for this year’s half hour specials coming through at Comedy Central. The likes of Kurt Braunohler, Ron Funches, Fortune Feimster, Chris Gethard, Mark Normand, and more will be part of the 2014 edition of The Half Hour.
In fact, many of these folks deserve a hour special, but we’ll settle for seeing them doing 22 min. on TV for now.
Billy Crystal’s 700 Sundays to Premiere on HBO April 19th
The Tony Award winning, record grossing one man show from Billy Crystal, 700 Sundays, is coming to HBO on Sat. Apr. 19th. You might be interested to know that this will be almost 30 years since Crystal’s last special on HBO.
Wonderful NYC based comedian Ted Alexandro is releasing a brand new one hour special, taped live at the amazing comedy venue known as The Creek and The Cave.
I Did It will be available on Feb. 14th off of his website, that’s right, Valentine’s Day, and what we’ll be listening to instead of worrying about cards, chocolates, flowers, etc.

Hannibal Buress’ New Hour Special Premieres on Comedy Central March 29th
As part of his deal at Comedy Central, the hysterical Hannibal Buress will be premiering his brand new hour in a couple of months. If you’ve seen Hannibal around recently, just like you might have seen him over the last few years, the hour is probably going to be pretty great.
Also, this means we’re going to get a special from Todd Barry and Hannibal Buress in the same month, so look out for that.
Marc Maron’s Thinky Pain Now Available on DVD
One of our favorite comedy specials from last year Thinky Pain from Marc Maron just got released on DVD.
Pick it up because there will be times that you can’t access your Netflix account and will want to watch it.
Finally, the hysterical Morgan Murphy’s first comedy special Irish Goodbye taped live at the amazing Nerdmelt Showroom is finally here. You can watch it on Netflix and/or buy it as a comedy album.

Patton Oswalt’s latest comedy special Tragedy Plus Comedy Equals Time was supposed to be available last night, but Epix seemed to have dropped the ball as evidenced by this tweet by Patton. In the time between then and now, Patton began to tweet “what happened” during his special until it just surfaced at Epix.

Morgan Murphy’s Comedy Special ‘Irish Goodbye’ Released Digitally/on Netflix Next Week
The damn funny Morgan Murphy is releasing her comedy special Irish Goodbye both for purchase and on Netflix next week, Jan. 21st.
Not only is this a special from Morgan, which should make you already excited, but it was taped at The Nerdmelt Showroom, one of the best venues for comedy in LA.

Comedy Central Orders Natasha Leggero Pilot From Red Hour & Standup Special
A pilot for a Victorian era parody reality show co-starring Riki Lindhome and a stand up special is coming to Comedy Central from Natasha Leggero.
Whether there’s a correlation or not, we’d like to think this is what happens when you justly defend your comedy that needs no apology because it’s funny.
Patton Oswalt’s latest comedy special Tragedy Plus Comedy Equals Time is coming to Epix on Jan. 17th. It’s been a few years since Finest Hour, which is why we’re excited for this to come out and also wonder the other forms of that comedy equation (i.e. Time Minus Comedy Equals Tragedy, Tragedy Minus Time Plus Comedy Equals Zero, etc. etc.)
For now, just watch this preview on what the state flag of Florida should be.
No cold (illness, not weather) nor lack of an audience outside of a cat will stop the amazing Melissa Villasenor from performing comedy.
So, one afternoon, she just recorded a nice 15 min. of her doing stand-up amidst her making a sandwich and playing with her cat that’s as honest and vulnerable you can get in an apartment while still being very funny.

Jackie Kashian Taping First Hour Comedy Special at Acme in Minneapolis
Though we get spoiled with her comedic awesomeness here in LA, Jackie Kashian is going closer to her roots in Minneapolis, MN at The Acme Comedy Company to record her first hour comedy special.
It’s right after Christmas on Dec. 26th and 27th, so it’s the perfect balance from doing all that obligatory family stuff on the Christmas and Christmas Eve.
If you’re in or around or can get to the Acme Comedy Company on those dates, we ask that you don’t miss this taping.
