The upcoming comedy feature Fresno was already intriguing enough following Judy Greer and Natasha Lyonne as two dysfunctional sisters that are hotel maids attempting to dispose of a body.

Now, the likes of Aubrey Plaza, Ron Livingston, Molly Shannon, and Fred Armisen have joined the cast.

From the looks of it, Fresno has never been more appealing.

A month ago on The Tonight Show, Aubrey Plaza had a message for the “haterz”, specifically those that have or would ever talk trash about the basketball team she’s on known as The Pistol Shrimps.

Just in case you weren’t aware, it’s a real basketball team filled with hilarious women including Stephanie Allynne, Morgan Murphy, and more as well they’re own dance team that has more great comedy folks too.

They also have this awesome promo that you should watch right now whether you’re a hater or not.

Lifetime is indeed making Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever set to premiere on Nov. 29th at 8PM. While the idea may seemed crowdsourced by the whole of the Internet, getting Aubrey Plaza to voice the Grumpy Cat seems more than perfect casting and definitely one thing this TV movie needed.

So, Lifetime will undoubtedly have a boost in their younger demos that night as well as a whole new set of fan made .gifs that will be on every one’s social media feeds.

Aubrey Plaza Makes Sure To Talk About Bachelorette Parties as Awkwardly as Possible

Aubrey Plaza has been, for a long time, someone fascinating to watch on late night talk shows for her blurring of kidding and being serious all while seeming embarrassed, but in an endearing way.

Of course, that all comes into play when she chatted with Conan about a bachelorette party she had to organize along with all of the stereotypical bachelorette party paraphernalia she had to order.

While she does her movie to promote, Life After Beth, Aubrey Plaza makes sure, as she always does, that her interviews go as wonderfully awkward as possible like she did earlier this week on The Tonight Show.

On The Daily Show last night, Jon Stewart goes right along with it. Watch it here.

Aubrey Plaza chatted with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show and we learned a few more interesting things about Plaza like she’s awkwardly worked out with Richard Simmons.

She’s also on a basketball team and one, she is very serious about taking down other teams. Two, Aubrey Plaza and Morgan Murphy are on a basketball team together. Three, Questlove’s face when watching Aubrey doing a lay up is priceless.

Watch it all here.

Even if Aubrey Plaza is a Zombie, You’ll Still Love Her in ‘Life After Beth’ Trailer

Following the great high concept comedy Safety Not Guaranteed, Aubrey Plaza’s high concept comedy this year is one where she’s a zombie, but still in love with her boyfriend. In fact, she’s less a zombie and more like Aubrey Plaza with an appetite for humans. Dane DeHaan stars opposite her as the boyfriend in what might be a very memorable role and John C. Reilly and Molly Shannon co-star as parents supportive of a alive-dead relationship.

Watch the trailer here and get excited for a release sometime this Summer.

In this part of Hal Hartley’s dark comedy trilogy, Aubrey Plaza is added to the returning cast from Henry Fool and Fay Grim of Thomas Jay Ryan, Parker Posey, Liam Aiken, and James Urbaniak.

The teaser/trailer/anything for this should be pretty awesome.

Aubrey Plaza, Oliver Platt, Jeff Goldblum Board Johnny Depp’s ‘Mortdecai’

Say what you will, but an action comedy about stolen art with Aubrey Plaza, Oliver Platt, and Jeff Goldblum with ‘Nazi loot’ pretty much has us sold even though it’s not a Wes Anderson movie.

A teaser/trailer of Mortdecai needs to come out ASAP.

Aziz Ansari, Christopher Guest, Aubrey Plaza, and More to Appear at New Yorker Fest 2013

If you still have doubts as to the merits of comedy as an art form, having a substantial part in renowned culture publication The New Yorker’s New Yorker Fest should be a good reference point to start thinking otherwise.

Boosting their comedy programming from last year to include several panels, presentations, and more (including a talk about comedy and politics from comedic genius Armando Ianucci), maybe comedy is starting to get the respect it deserves.

1) Aubrey Plaza is “one of the most fascinating people” that Conan’s talked to into awhile.

2) Don Rickles on Jimmy Kimmel Live (including Parts 1 & 2).

3) Over the last few months, there has been a lot of talk about the consequences of talking about sexual assault and rape on stage and being aware of the sensitivity of audience members. Today, Barbara Holm gives an interesting flip on the debate in regards to hecklers sexually harassing comedians at Laughspin.

4) A guy sells punny-one liners in a park. There was a guy in Venice who just used to take donations and would make a living performing his act on the street. Is America prime for “street comedy”?

5) Laughter Against the Machine, a comedy tour bringing laughs to political hot spots around the U.S., is only a few days away from needing to meet their donation goal. If that wasn’t enough, hear what Marc Maron had to say about it.

6) “Puddin”-Winter
