10:30PM on FXx

While Catastrophe has been holding down your need for romantic comedy series that take a look at more unfiltered relationships between season 1 of You’re The Worst and the premiere of season 2, the wait is over.

Jimmy and Gretchen return as one of the most exciting and daring couples to watch on TV tonight in the return of You’re The Worst.

Again, it’s 10:30PM tonight on FXx.

M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Happening” Gets an Honest Trailer

At this point, the Screen Junkies seem to be building a collection of M. Night Shyamalan Honest Trailers as the filmmaker has rode the success of The Sixth Sense for well over a decade and then made a whole barrel of things that have been overwhelmingly panned.

Thus far, they’ve covered After Earth, The Last Airbender and they have now finally gotten to The Happening where people seemed to kill themselves not entirely unlike how people would die in all those Final Destination movies.

Before too long, Shyamalan might catch up to Michael Bay in an Honest Trailers count.

Stephen Colbert Might Have Just Scored One of the Best Debuts in Late Night History

Last night, Stephen Colbert proved that he is a more than worthy successor to David Letterman’s desk at The Late Show.

Throughout the history of late night talk shows, the first episode is often characterized by awkwardness, confusion, and a sort of frantic energy that aims to just keep the ship together as it barely has embarked on what’s supposed to be a long, long voyage.

However, Stephen Colbert was not only groomed to be a late night talk show host, but with his time at The Colbert Report, had built all the muscles necessary to be a late night talk show host, in character or not.

It should come as no surprise that, Colbert had no stilted moments in his monologue and ran a tight ship right from the opening sequence to paying tribute to Letterman to touring the new and improved Ed Sullivan Theater to the closing credits of his debut night on The Late Show. It might sound obvious to say, but one definitely got the sense after watching the inaugural episode that Stephen has been doing this late night thing for awhile.

You can see that Colbert, even sans character, can still properly stick it to Trump.

While some might clamor for the more rambunctious, satirical Colbert of The Colbert Report to do the interviews of the likes of George Clooney and especially Jeb Bush, Stephen manages inject some trademark cleverness in conversation. Hopefully, he’ll play that up more down the line.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is still very much a very traditional late night talk show with a monologue, suit, band, desk pieces, guests, etc., but Colbert showed on his very first night, how this old format can still be done well in 2015. For that, Stephen should be marked down for one of the best late night debuts of all time.

On top of that, Colbert had a thoroughly interesting inclusion of Jimmy Fallon throughout the show that almost seemed like an olive branch between the two late night hosts on different networks. We’ll be curious to see if that makes a decidedly different route for this era of late night as compared to the debacles of the last one.

Whether you watched the premiere or not (odds are that you were on of the 6.5 million that did), we urge you to watch the entire premiere episode when you make a spare hour for yourself.

“The Bronze” Is the Latest To Have Its Release Postponed at Relativity

The dark gymnastics comedy joins Masterminds in film purgatory.

With Relativity Media being in such deep financial trouble that they’re up for a bankruptcy auction, they’ve had to indefinitely push back the release of more films, one of which is the indie dark comedy The Bronze following a jaded former star gymnast starring Melissa Rauch.

The more films that get postponed as the weeks past, the more we wonder if we’ll ever get to see any of these movies at all.

They’ve already got one going with James Davis’ Swag-A-Saurus.

The volatile media of Snapchat continues to grow in popularity and, as such, Comedy Central is getting on board with planning to do more shows soon with the likes of folks that we really dig: Liza Treyger, Nikki Glaser, Michelle Wolf, and Yassir Lester.

We’ll be curious to see if they can drive people to use Snapchat for the first time in order to see these shows.

It has been quite some time since the last collection of sweetly composed, hilariously biting songs from Kate Micucci and Riki Lindhome better known as Garfunkel and Oates.

However, the wait is over and their latest album, Secretions, is out now. 29/31, a song from both perspectives of a woman who is 29, then later 31, and The BJ Song, a song exploring the inner monologue of a woman while giving a ‘beej’, are two of our favorites.

One of Iran’s most currently celebrated directors Jafar Panahi is actually going through a twenty year ban on writing and directing his own films in Iran. As you can probably guess, the Iranian government had problems with the content of his films and after several arrests, Panahi received that long punishment despite being applauded for his work across the globe.

Panahi has not let the ban stop him from making films as he has manage to do them cleverly in secret, usually in the form of documenting himself and his environs.

His latest work, Taxi, follows Jafar Panahi as a taxi driver in Tehran, perhaps the country’s most famous one, and the slightly absurd passengers and situations that might come into his cab. It’s currently playing the film festival circuit, but hopefully it’ll get picked up for a limited release soon.

Watch, enjoy, and marvel at this trailer of what he pulled off here.
