Playing House Will Not Return for Season 4

Unfortunately, Lennon Parham and Jessica St. Clair will not get to continue on with Playing House on USA Network.

We have no doubt that the duo will return in another form for another great show (if you watched Playing House, you’d probably agree with the sentiment).

Here’s a video of Lennon and Jessica saying farewell.

“Psych” Is Being Brought Back in the Form of a Holiday Movie

It’s been awhile since we’ve seen both Psych and a new holiday movie based on a TV series that has our curiosity peaked.

Given the trend of non-traditional detectives that have followed since Psych was on the air, one has to wonder how this will hold up or how much USA Network will update it to fit into today’s Golden Age TV landscape.

USA Network finally renewed Playing House for a second season this week and the show’s stars were overjoyed.

In fact, they were so overjoyed that they dropped everything that they were doing at that exact moment to spread the news. Watch what happened here.

USA Network Renewing “Playing House” For 2nd Season

(via Deadline)

Well, after the network sitcom bloodbath we had a few weeks ago, it’s refreshing to hear of a comedy series getting actually renewed. Luckily, the renewed series is USA Network’s Playing House starring Jessica St. Clair and Lennon Parham, which, apparently did well on VOD platforms rather than being aired on USA.

So, it’ll return later in 2015 and episodes will hit VOD platforms before they actually air. If doing so becomes a trend for other shows because people don’t want to watch TV on air, we wouldn’t be surprised at all.

While Friends of The People is premiering tonight over at truTV, USA is also having their own series premiere of Benched.

While a comedy following lawyers might be not enough to get you hooked, a star lawyer fallen from grace/a high rise to being a public defender starring Eliza Coupe and Jay Harrington also featuring the likes of Maria Bamford and Oscar Nunez should be enough to get you to watch this premiere.

So, check out/set your DVRs (in case you want to catch premiere of Friends of the People that airs at the same time) Benched at 10:30PM on USA Network.

The premiere of promising legal procedural comedy Benched starring Eliza Coupe is just around the corner. It’s next week Oct. 28th on the USA Network to be more specific.

Still, you can watch the entire pilot of Benched right now over at USANetwork.com, a week ahead of time. If their first preview clip was any indicator, you should go watch entire pilot right now.

USA Network might have a great new comedy series on its hands with the upcoming Benched following the fall of a high powered corporate lawyer to being a public defender. The cast is pretty stellar with the likes of Eliza Coupe starring and a supporting cast including Oscar Nunez and Maria Bamford.

Also, this preview clip showcasing one, fine meltdown from Coupe might just have us hooked. Benched premieres Tues. Oct. 28th at 10:30PM on the USA Network.

Rachel Dratch, Andrea Martin, and James Urbaniak Join USA Pilot Difficult People Starring Julie Klausner and Billy Eichner

With just the cast of Klausner and Eichner, and now Rachel Dratch, Andrea Martin, and James Urbaniak joining in, we’d already be thrilled at the prospect of how good Difficult People could be.

What makes this even more exciting is that Amy Poehler is producing this, which it makes it hard for us to think that USA Network wouldn’t pick this up.

Billy Eichner and Julie Klausner to Star in Amy Poehler Pilot Presentation at USA Network

Billy Eichner and Julie Klausner are set to star in (and as) Difficult People, a comedy pilot presentation for USA Network with Amy Poehler executive producing.

Given all the elements involved, we have a hard time imagining this wouldn’t go to series at USA.

You Can Watch Pilot for Jessica St. Clair and Lennon Parham’s Playing House at USA Network

While the premiere isn’t until Apr. 29th at 10PM at the USA Network, you can watch the entire pilot of Playing House thanks to USA (the network, and the country as well, we suppose), the new series from Jessica St. Clair and Lennon Parham following their much too short lived series at NBC, Best Friends Forever.

Bobby Moynihan, Ian Roberts, Jason Mantzoukas, Andy Daly, and John Lutz are set to guest star on the upcoming USA Network comedy series Playing House from Lennon Parham and Jessica St. Clair.

Perhaps, Playing House will fare a little better NBC’s Best Friends Forever.
