Stephen Colbert to Replace David Letterman
Well, CBS isn’t waiting around to see what other choices might surface next year to replace Letterman. They’re putting their money on Stephen Colbert and it’s probably their best bet to compete with The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as well as draw a brand new young audience that Colbert has at his command.
This makes us curious to how Colbert will potentially leave his Colbert Report character at Comedy Central.
Paramount TV Developing a Truman Show TV Series
While your knee-jerk reaction may be to say that The Truman Show might turn into what it was sardonically predicting, know that Burning Love, as a series, does a fantastic job of sending up reality TV dating shows.
You would do well to know that Paramount was also involved in Burning Love, so a Truman Show TV series might be in good hands.
The hilarious Kumail Nanjiani was on Conan this week and showed how in tune with this generation he is by talking about how much he loves bidets after trying one for the first time and Twitter as it’s being cataloged by The Library of Congress.
Even though it’s technically bathroom and Twitter humor, Kumail makes it as almost as high brow as you can make it.
Having been accomplices in various acts of tomfoolery over the years, especially on Comedy Bang! Bang!, Paul F. Tompkins and Scott Aukerman don’t appear on camera sans character often.
For Tompkins’ one-on-one interview show, Speakeasy, Tompkins gives a shot trying to ask Aukerman questions in earnest, which several times almost gets derailed into their renowned fun hijinks.
22 Jump Street’s brand new red band trailer is probably their most explicit and also their funniest yet. This is definitely a contended for being one of the Summer’s biggest comedies.
Eddie Pepitone Has His Own YouTube Channel Now via JASH
Whether you know it or not, Eddie Pepitone getting his own YouTube channel has been long overdue. Through JASH, Eddie will have more videos of his “to do lists” etc. that you all need to watch if you enjoy laughing at all.
There’s only 3 videos right now and they’re all under a minute, but you can still have this take up your whole afternoon by watching them over and over again because they’re that f’n funny.

While in Dallas, Conan O’Brien, of course, got into much goofiness as possible. One of those instances was using one of the biggest TV screens in the world at AT&T Stadium to play video games.
As you’ll see, it’s a lot of fun and Conan highly recommends renting AT&T Stadium to do the same because we all have that kind of money.
The very funny Nikki Glaser has racked up sets The Tonight Show, Conan, and now Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Watch her latest set and see why she’s made the rounds around late night here.
So Many Nominees and Categories in Comedy Along for This Year’s Webby Awards
The Simpsons, The Pete Holmes Show, Above Average, College Humor, Funny or Die, Conan O’Brien, Billy on The Street, The Onion, Between Two Ferns, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Kid President, Burning Love, and more are up for honors of being the best in the Internet in various disciplines ranging from Comedy: Long Form or Series to Social Content and Marketing: Humor and everything in between for this year’s Webby Awards.
You can actually vote for your favorites that will be announced on Apr. 29th from above as well as wonder if there are currently more categories in The Primetime Emmys or The Webby Awards.
Not only is riffing/hanging out between Pete Holmes, Jay Larson, and Ryan Sickler on The Pete Holmes Show a good time, but watching them concluding that there is no good way to break up with someone is a bonus.

Jim Jarmusch’s latest work Only Lovers Left Alive is the vampire movie for those who hate pretty much all vampire movies (anything from Dracula from 1992 to Twilight, etc.). In a way, it’s a beautiful dark romantic comedy featuring Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston in amazing roles that you had wish that you had seen them in before. This very well may be Jarmusch’s best film to date.
Also, for those of you that can’t stand watching horror, there is scarcely a terrifying moment. It’s playing in LA at ArcLight Hollywood and The Landmark and we highly suggest you go watch several times over.
At the opening of last night’s Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert offered up his two cents on the David Letterman’s retirement coming in 2015 and commented that he feels for “whoever” has to follow the late night institution that Letterman has created.
Welcome To Sweden has already gotten a second season pickup in Sweden and is only premiering here in the U.S. July 10th on NBC.
Watch the trailer for Amy and Greg Poehler’s potential international sitcom that has a great cameo by a Swedish speaking Will Ferrell and more.

As mentioned above, the very funny Brent Sullivan made his late night stand up debut this week on The Pete Holmes Show. From this set, you can note that getting letters that you sent yourself from 10 years ago might be not as great an experience as it was sending them.

This week, Judy Greer, a literal co-star in almost everything from Arrested Development to The Descendants to Archer to The Hebrew Hammer and way more finally released her collection of essays, I Don’t Know What You Know Me From: Confessions of a Co-Star.
Hearing what it was like to play Kitty Sanchez would almost be good enough for a book, but there’s so much more, so you should pick it up and give it a read.
FXx to Launch Simpsons Syndication with 12 Day Marathon
If, for some reason, you haven’t gotten The Simpsons on DVD box sets, you’ll be happy to know that in moving into syndication on FXx, there will be a 12 day marathon of The Simpsons to start it off.
We’ll see what the record books say afterwards, but, as far as we can tell, this would indeed be, as FX’s Jon Landgraf says, the longest continuous TV marathon in history.
Dave Attell’s Road Work and Comedy Underground Premiere Tonight at Comedy Central
Dave Attell is making a long awaited return to Comedy Central with both a fantastic stand up hour special in Road Work at midnight and his stand-up showcase series, also fantastic, Comedy Underground at 1AM.
Taped in comedy clubs across the country, both are going to be one great night of stand up.

Having never been to an orgy, Andy Daly’s Forrest MacNeil from Review reviews an orgy.
With that in mind, we give watching this clip over and over 5 stars.
Conan O’Brien Hosting 2014 MTV Movie Awards Tonight
Whether or not you were planning watching Game of Thrones or Mad Men tonight, you should watch Conan O’Brien host the MTV Movie Awards this evening as he’s sure to bring a great balance of class and utter silliness that we’ve all come to know and love.
The MTV Movie Awards broadcasts at 9PM from Nokia Theater (which probably means they are broadcasting at 6PM PST if you can get an East Coast Feed).
The very funny Esther Povitsky has a brand new web series Esther with Hot Chicks for MTVother.com where Esther tries to get in on “the secrets” of hot chicks by way of interviewing them in her bedroom.
Please give it a watch here and also enjoy cameos from Brent Weinbach and Ron Lynch.
