Last month, a video of Patton Oswalt completely improvising a filibuster on what the Star Wars sequel should be during shooting of an episode of Parks and Recreation was posted on YouTube. As Oswalt has admitted himself that “this was bound to happen”, an animated version of his amazing filibuster/pitch is now online with animation by Isaac Moores.

It’s pretty amazing and you should watch it now.

One of LA’s best live comedy shows, Holy Fuck, recorded an album this year and it’s finally coming out with all its hysterics in a double CD. Over 40 tracks featuring the likes of the very funny Sean Patton, Moshe Kasher, Kyle Kinane, James Adomian, Beth Stelling, Eric Andre, Lizzy Cooperman, Matt Braunger, Hasan Minhaj, Michelle Buteau, Jackie Kashian, Rory Scovel, TJ Miller, Holy Fuck creators Dave Ross & Jeff Wattenhofer, and much much more recorded live at Holy Fuck’s home, The Downtown Independent Theater.

We were there for the tapings and it was pretty great. You should pre-order this now in either Deluxe Box Set, CD, or Digital Album, now from Rooftop Comedy for when it comes out next week.

This Better Be Funny

The hilarious Candice Thompson joins Jake and Jeremy again despite having her car not starting the last time because they played her car radio while the car was off. Without having to worry about calling AAA, they get to riffing on clap talking, white guilt jumping the shark, spotting “chiggers”(?), and more. Also, FYI, Urban Dictionary wasn’t that helpful when they were doing real life “research”.

New Wave Entertainment To Bring More Live Comedy to Movie Theaters via Fathom Events

As comedy specials like those of Kevin Hart’s and live events like Rifftrax have shown promise in movie theaters over the last few years, it was only a matter of time before someone was going to go full bore with live comedy on the big screen.
