Paul Feig to Produce Animated ‘Peanuts’ Feature for Fox
Charlie Brown is hitting the big screen as seen by the one and only Paul Feig. The fact that it’s not live action is a good start (i.e. Smurfs), but we’re also excited that someone like Feig is overseeing the adaptation.
So, here’s to hoping there will be a long montage of Charlie Brown missing kicking a football.
NBC Reviving ‘American Comedy Awards’ After 13 Years
Strangely, the American Comedy Awards are not only being revived, but changing hands as it was originally at ABC. We’re not sure what this new awards special will bring, how much it will honor ratings versus acclaim, but, as far as we know, Comedy Central is still doing their own Comedy Awards, which makes us wonder which one would be the Oscars of comedy versus the Golden Globes/Emmys of comedy.
Janeane Garofalo to Co-Star in Pilot on Bravo
The fact that Janeane Garofalo might be back on TV is good enough for us to make our day.
Seriously though, let’s hope that she gets to be a series regular again.
Amy Poehler & Tina Fey To Make Millions Each Hosting Golden Globes
We’re glad to hear that the comedy duo Amy Poehler & Tina Fey are raking in the big bucks in hosting The Golden Globes and making it actually enjoyable to watch.
To put those figures in perspective, most news stories of TV actor salaries only come up when they are looking for a single million an episode.
Watch First Episode of “@midnight” at Comedy Central
“@midnight with Chris Hardwick” premiered last night and you can watch the first episode over at Comedy Central of the late night game show with comedians trying to be the funniest about making fun of the Internet featuring Kumail Nanjiani, Natasha Leggero, and Doug Benson pressing his buzzer non-stop.
Also, if you like, there’s another episode tonight (and on Wed. and Thurs. too), which we’re guessing you’re going to want to watch, pitting Kurt Braunohler, Andy Daly, and Brendon Walsh together/against each other at Comedy Central 12AM.
Sam Simmons Is Making His U.S. TV Debut on Conan Tonight
Hysterical Australian comedian Sam Simmons is making his first televised appearance on U.S. tonight on Conan on TBS 11PM (he’ll be on Adam Devine’s House Party on Comedy Central soon as well).
America, you have been put on notice to please watch what might be one of the more fun things you’ve seen in awhile and that’s all we’re going to say for now.
Steve Conrad and Todd Phillips to Direct Revived John Belushi Biopic
Comedy biopics seem to be a precarious thing to make. Just off all the attempts at a Richard Pryor biopic should be discouraging at the very least.
With that said, we hope that Todd Phillips and Steve Conrad who has written the upcoming Secret Life of Walter Mitty as well as Weather Man will pull this John Belushi biopic together and make something that could be really great.
SF Sketchfest Starts YouTube Channel
The nearly three week comedy festival that is SF Sketchfest every year is a must for so many comedy fans, but, of course, there are those of us that are just unable to make it for whatever reason.
Luckily, they just started a YouTube channel where they’re going to upload clips of the festival for all to see including, just at this moment, panel with Bruce Campbell and Pinky and The Brain.
Dan St. Germain to Star in/Write/Produce Comedy at Fox
Dan St. Germain is getting set to star in a comedy at Fox that he will get to write and co-executive produce, which is definitely another great move by Fox.
Also, Dan will be playing a guy dealing with a break up, so we cannot wait to see a lot of Dan’s stand up work it’s way into a sitcom.
Bruce Campbell Says Army Of Darkness Sequel is Happening
Apparently, director Sam Raimi and actor Bruce Campbell have found the time to make a follow up to Army of Darkness 21 years laters and we’ve all been waiting to have another quotable Bruce Campbell movie.
Here’s hoping that this will happen and happen soon.

The Voice and a SNL holiday special are putting Parks and Recreation on the backburner while in the middle of its latest season for the next month at NBC, so take up that hobby you saw on Pinterest that you’ve always wanted to take up.
Taylor Williamson Going on Post AGT Tour
Catch America’s Got Talent runner up, but winner for our money (yeah, we’re biased for comedy over dancing), Taylor Williamson going on tour across the country just by himself starting around Thanksgiving going through to Christmas.
It’s the holiday season for the Taylords.
Conan Does Serious Jibber-Jabber with Mel Brooks
Comedy legend Mel Brooks sits across from Conan O’Brien and has a nice 80 minute chat.

Tonight, as the name of the show suggests, at 12AM on Comedy Central, some of the funniest people around will throw down to see who can make fun of the Internet the best with Chris Hardwick as the ringleader of the brand new @midnight.
Curious what to see what that might look like 14 hours ahead of time? Click the link for a preview.
Andy Sandford Live Album Recording
It would seem like were almost doing a series of pointing out comedians that won’t be in LA that are recording/taping albums/specials over the last couple of days and while that wasn’t our intention, we don’t mind if you think that as hilarious people recording things wherever they may be need to be pointed out.
We just want you to know that if you’re in, around, or near Atlanta, GA on Mon. Oct. 28th at 9PM EDT, you should go watch the brilliant Andy Sandford record his latest comedy album at Star Bar. He’s currently based out of NYC, but you might know him from The Beards of Comedy or this amazing joke.
The Book of Mormon Returning to Pantages Theatre in January
Whether you missed its first run at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre or just want to see it again or really want to educate a Mormon friend, the award winning Book of Mormon from Matt Stone and Trey Parker is coming back to LA to play a run from Jan. 21st to Mar. 16th.
If you’re disappointed about South Park not making it to air for one episode, this should definitely make up for it (and also just don’t be so touchy stuff like that).
Community Gets Season Premiere Date at NBC
It’s really happening that Community is coming back to the NBC line-up on Thursdays starting Jan. 2nd. This time, they won’t have any holiday specific episodes that air way after that holiday or maybe they will and they’ll both probably be great.
Tom Segura Recording His First Hour Special in Minnesota Next Month
The hysterical Tom Segura is recording his first hour long comedy special, which in our opinion is long overdue. Though he’s based in LA, the fine folks of Minneapolis, MN can catch the taping at the Goodale Theater on Nov. 9th 7PM and 9:30PM for free so long as you RSVP at the link above.
If you can somehow go to this, please do so and you wouldn’t be crazy to fly out for this if that’s something you like doing.
Fox Gives ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Full Season Pickup
So, there will be more .gifs of Chelsea Peretti dancing around the bull pen, but we hope, with this full season order that Joe Lo Truglio gets some .gif love too.
Also, congratulations to Brooklyn Nine-Nine for surviving the first network TV gauntlet.
Amber Tozer Sells Tozer Show to Fox ADHD
Fox ADHD has possibly just got its latest series from buying Tozer Show from the very funny Amber Tozer.
From what we’ve seen from her web series nitTWITs as well as her stand up, we’re excited to hopefully see the Tozer Show make it to series.

This episode is coming out this coming Monday, but you can watch a preview at the link.

Well done Mark Normand for garnering the title and Village Voice for making a great choice.
If you don’t know Normand because he’s on that other coast, then please watch this Conan set and become a fan.
