Vic Berger’s Latest Steve Harvey Remix Shows Harvey Having to Host Family Feud for Eternity

We’re on the precipice of 2017 and leaving 2016.

For several people, that change is met with an angrily muttering of “good riddance!”

For Steve Harvey in this latest mash-up/remix done by Vic Berger for Super Deluxe, the changing of the years doesn’t seem to matter as hosting Family Feud has taken on a more Sisyphean task.

Peter Serafinowicz Dubs Donald Trump with the Voice of Homer Simpson

As Homer Simpson is a beloved animated character for nearly three decades on television and Donald Trump is a real-life, figurative black hole of idiocy, bigotry, and privilege, we get how this mash-up dub from Peter Serafinowicz is sort of unholy.

Still, if there is anyone that shouldn’t be in charge of nuclear power in the real world, Trump is in the top 10, which is probably subconscious reason of why we still enjoy this parody video plenty.

Steve Harvey Gets Existential (Again) Thanks to Vic Berger’s “Ask Steve” Mash-Up/Remix

One of the biggest things going on at Super Deluxe is the edited mash-up/remix/reimagining videos of Vic Berger.

His work chopping up the most awkward moments of Family Feud with Steve Harvey into an existential meltdown  is of particular note.

So, Berger has got another video mined from the treasure trove of gravely concerned Steve Harvey facial expressions, this time from Harvey’s other show, Ask Steve.

It’s possibly even more existential than the first one.

Watch it here.

Here’s The Trailer For Season 2 of James Franco’s Mash-Up Series “Making a Scene”

In season one, they got weird with movies, so they’re on to getting weird with TV series including Freaks and Geeks.

James Franco’s experimental mash-up series Making a Scene on AOL Originals made for some really great, really weird hybrids like When Harry Met Sally being mashed-up with When Harry Met Sally to create When Harry Met Harry.

With the second season on the way, Franco and company have opted to mash-up random genres and some of your favorite TV shows including Married with Children, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, the aforementioned Freaks and Geeks that Franco starred in, Seinfeld, and more.

Watch the trailer for season 2 of Making a Scene here, then look for new episodes on Sept. 9th.

James Franco’s “Making a Scene” on AOL Mashes Up “When Harry Met Sally” with “When Harry Met Sally”

Spinning a wheel of famous movie scenes twice led James Franco and company to mash up scenes for their AOL web series Making a Scene.

Not one to deviate from the rules, they got the fake orgasm scene from When Harry Met Sally twice and went with that.

The result? A bizarre alternate universe wonder that they come up with called When Harry Met Harry. Please enjoy here.

Unbeknownst to us, comedian Nate Fernald, who you might have seen in the Comedy Central Comics to Watch showcase we posted about earlier today, knows how to mash-up songs that you would never think that would go together.

He’s just released an entire compilation of mash-ups called “Week Music”  that “showcase” just how “good” he is. In fact, this might be the new “rickrolling”.

Stream or download Week Music Vol. 1 now.

Gallery 1988 Continues to Find Great, Funny Mash Up Art with Robert Brandenburg

The artwork at Gallery 1988 has pretty consistently found itself at a great intersection of comedy and art. With tributes, mash-ups, parodies on canvas, print, etc., they’ve got the exhibition of art that people laugh at non-ironically down.

Just check their latest offering with a solo show from artist Robert Brandenburg that has a pretty joke worked into classic paintings over the centuries like Pimpbot 5000 from Late Night with Conan O’Brien at a slave market in Ancient Rome.

Well, Mash-Up is Going to Be Amazing

The tapings for the upcoming stand-up, animated hybrid show Mash-Up on Comedy Central just finished here in LA and without any hesitation whatsoever, we’ll tell you that it was astounding. Perhaps the title of this post isn’t much a surprise to you because you saw the pilot.

Yet, based off what we got to see at the El Rey Theater (and we had seen almost everyone run their sets before hand and still laughed hard), hardcore comedy fans to people that just want to laugh, but do not know where to look are absolutely in for a treat when it airs on Comedy Central.

Here’s a list of reasons why Mash-Up needs to be on your to watch list even before there’s an air date:

–The performances were the most natural that we’ve ever seen be taped. All the comics did their ultra-tightened A-material, but were incredibly loose with it; the way you might see them if you were to see them do it live (i.e. how a stand-up set should feel)

–“All the comics” included Tom Segura, Nick Vatterott, Reggie Watts, Chris Hardwick, Pete Holmes, Jon Dore, Hannibal Buress, and more along with TJ Miller hosting. This is the comedy people should be seeing.

–The sets were around 10 min., which is significantly longer than most late night TV sets and the segments that make up a half-hour special, giving anyone watching a much better sense of the comedian

-Throughout each episode, TJ gave a shout out to the comics that were on the show that he came up with in Chicago. Such camaraderie in comedy is a beautiful thing to be seen.

–We’re already thrilled at just the stand-up sets that we saw and we have only a little idea what the visualized parts of the jokes/bits look like. Creator, Director, and Producer Jordan Vogt-Roberts has been nothing short of amazing since his work as part of the Blerds, arguably, the inception of what is now this show.

-Lastly, the stage is amazing. There’s a recreated Mario Bros. 2 select screen as a back-drop and, as TJ Miller commented at the taping, those are the world’s biggest tassels.

Mash Up on 3:30AM

If you’re up, wait a few more hours and watch Mash-Up at 3:30AM on Comedy Central! This poster should say enough as to why, but if it doesn’t, the Comedy Bureau firmly believes this is part of the next wave in stand up comedy.

If you’re wondering why it’s on so early, I’m not quite exactly sure.  I do know, however that Workaholics, which seems like a frat version of The Office, the other new Comedy Central show that has been “previewed” at better time slots and pushed a whole lot more through Comedy Central social networking extensions.

Not an explanation, just an observation.

1) One Two Punch, really an in-home live comedy experience, is one of those events that sounds amazing on paper, then absolutely exceeds expectations thanks to the one and only Barbara Gray. Here’s a fraction of a slice of a bit of how awesome a comedy show in your living room can be in the form of a few pictures by liezlwashere.

2) Though there’s plenty happening in town, A Reggie Watts Interview w/BajillionHits.biz’s Alex Blagg at SXSW would have sure been nice to be a part of…

3) If you happened to catch the vastly under publicized special “Mash-Up” on Comedy Central featuring stand-up, re-enactments of jokes, sketches, etc. this past Friday, here’s the story of how came to be from the formerly Chicago based comedy tank, The Blerds. [via Connected Comedy]

2) Last night, I took part in my first roast and unfortunately most of my act deals with roasting myself, which is the angle that I took while dishing out insults.  I’m pretty sure the only person that appreciates this approach is the guest of honor being roasted, to all those planning on partaking in a roast in the near future.
