Marc Maron Ends His IFC Series “Maron” After Four Seasons
So, we guess we’re all good.
Not only are you going to see a Marc Maron fallen from glory (and fallen hard ) in the new season of Maron, but you’ll get to see an hour to kick off the fourth season of the show.
It’s all starts at 9PM tonight on IFC.
The new season of IFC’s Maron is taking the series to possibly its darkest (and possibly most fun) turn yet. Marc has kind of lost everything and in trying to put himself back together, he’s got a great deal unforeseen obstacles ahead of them.
Season 4 of Maron premieres this Wednesday at 9PM on IFC.
IFC’s Maron takes Marc’s relationship to a garage further than he has ever before (as well as getting back heavily on drugs) for the latest season.
See how far Marc has fallen for season 4 in this new trailer.
Then, follow where Marc’s reunion with drugs will take him on the season premiere Wednesday, May 4th at 9PM on IFC.
Yes, the other two seasons are on there as well in case you need to catch up or want to binge watch the whole thing again.
Maron, the IFC scripted series based on WTF with Marc Maron and Maron’s life surrounding his celebrated podcast made it to its 3rd season this year. You can now engage in probably your preferred method of watching TV by streaming that 3rd season all on Netflix at your leisure.
I’m doing another season of #Maron for @IFC! Gotta get that guy back on track!
IFC has indeed picked up Marc Maron’s Maron based on WTF with Marc Maron for a fourth season.
Who knew that podcasts would end up being the inspiration for a decent chunk of a cable network’s schedule for multiple seasons?
Along side Comedy Bang! Bang!, IFC’s has successfully adapted podcasts into two of their longer running series.
In comedy, it’s often an honor to get referenced in an Andy Kindler joke.
While we’ve heard Kindler do it on stage from time to time, Kindler specifically references The Comedy Bureau in this Maron clip, which has definitely made us feel like we’re doing something right around here.
So, thanks to both Maron and Kindler to give us the niche validation that our “staff” thrives on. (We’re fully aware that this is the sort of self-congratulatory post that also can be made fun of in a Kindler-esque joke, but we’re just glad to be mentioned on TV).
As you’ve probably gathered from even watching a clip of Entourage, dealing with entertainment agencies can be difficult. Even if you’re just picking one to have represent you in order to move your career forward, trying to figure which one is best is sometimes like trying to pick between apples and other apples of similar, but different shades.
This clip from Maron gives a pretty good estimation of that experience.
Stopping by to promote the new season of Maron, which starts tonight, Marc Maron chatted with Jimmy Fallon about opposite ends of the heckler/troll spectrum that comedians have come to deal with in this era of comedy.
First off, Marc had to delicately eal with a whole family including their baby being in the crowd at a show that he wasn’t aware was all ages.
Then, on the other end, Marc went to great lengths to get back at someone trolling on him Twitter. How far? How about casting someone in your show so you can tell a story about it on late night?
The season 3 of premiere of Maron isn’t until next week on May 14th 10PM, but IFC has put an entire episode on YouTube to get your fix right now.
This season is catching up to current day Marc Maron where he’s getting more successful.
Dave Anthony, Patton Oswalt, Whitney Cummings, Andy Dick, Andy Kindler, Judd Hirsch, and more are all returning for the 3rd season of Maron and will deal with Marc while he’s dealing with handling success.
Watch the trailer here and mark down the premiere for May 14th at 10PM on IFC.
With season 3 of Maron coming in less than two months and almost at 600 episodes of WTF with Marc Maron, the gates have been locked and many of us are all tuned in.
Season 3 of Maron premieres on Thurs. May 14th at 10PM on IFC and with it, comes the third season of a show based on doing a podcast that was just started as a thing to keep Marc from killing himself.
So, would the hashtag a la Community’s #sixseasonsandamovie for this be #sixseasonsonethousandsepisodesandamovie?
Today is the day! @MaronIFC Season 2 is now on @netflix!
— marc maron (@marcmaron) December 28, 2014
The holiday season isn’t quite over yet meaning there’s more time to get through whatever awkward situation whether it be not busy at work or still having to stay at your family’s place.
So, it’s the perfect time for you to get into season 2 of IFC’s Maron, which was just released on Netflix today.
IFC is giving a third season to Maron based on the life of Marc Maron and his podcast WTF with Marc Maron. The season premiere is set for sometime in spring next year, but WTF will be continuing on if you need that to fill in that gap of time.
Perhaps, they’ll have an episode that’s based on Marc interviewing director Kevin MacDonald when he was expecting Kids in the Hall’s Kevin McDonald.
3 great comedic minds may not think alike. In fact, when in a car together, they may go back and forth riding the edge of each other’s patience as shown in this clip of Marc Maron, Dave Anthony and Andy Kindler driving on the road in an episode of IFC’s Maron.
While they may be not alike, they’re fun when stuck together.
Leave it to Marc Maron’s day off to pester a doctor to get an MRI because Maron thinks he has cancer.
Marc told that story on Late Night with Seth Meyers as well as what he does to get going in the morning in place of coffee, which is, appropriately enough for Marc, more complicated and intense than a cup of coffee.
Sounds like an episode recap of a pretty great episode of his IFC series Maron.
The Hollywood Reporter gathered together comedy showrunners Mike Schur from Parks and Recreation, Jenji Kohan from Orange Is The New Black, Mike Judge from SIlicon Valley, Armando Iannucci from Veep, Jenni Konner from Girls, Chuck Lorre from Two and Half Men (and so many more), and Marc Maron from Maron to chat for awhile about being a showrunner for a comedy series in 2014.
The results are pretty intriguing and enlightening. At one point, due to the modifier asking the entire group a number questions that they qualified with an exemption of Lorre’s shows, Chuck Lorre asked, “What am I doing here?”
Season 2 of Maron Premieres Tonight on IFC
Tune into IFC at 10PM tonight to catch the premiere of season 2 of Maron/Marc Maron deal with being a guest on Talking Dead next to Michael Ian Black.
IFC Takes a Tour of Marc Maron’s Garage
Leading up to the season premiere of Maron coming this Thurs. May 8th 10PM on IFC, here’s a nice little web series where Marc shows off his garage which includes a lot of fan art, both good and confusing.
Give it all a watch at the link.
Watch the First Teaser for Maron Season 2
Here’s the first promo for the second season of Maron on IFC featuring an uncomfortable moment between Michael Ian Black and Marc Maron, cats, and Marc making fun of himself on WTF. You know, just a normal day in the life of Maron.
Season 2 premieres on May 8th at 10PM.
Season 2 of Maron Premiering in May, Conan O’Brien, Tig Notaro, Bill Burr & More Guest Starring
IFC’s Maron will return on May 8th for its second season with a boatload of guest stars including the aforementioned Conan O’Brien, Tig Notaro, and Bill Burr as well as David Cross, Tom Kenny, Moshe Kasher, Paul Feig, Chris Hardwick, Dave Koechner, Eddie Pepitone, Andy Richter, and even more than the already stacked list.
It won’t be able to take place of your weekly obsession over True Detective as the premiere is over almost two months away, but it’ll surely take up your time when it airs.
Marc Maron To Direct His Own Episode of ‘Maron’
In this upcoming season of Maron on IFC, one episode will have been directed by Marc Maron himself.
So, for that episode, you could say Maron starring Marc Maron based on the life of Marc Maron will be directed by Marc Maron, which we thought was already happening anyway.
The entire first season of IFC’s Maron is now on Netflix for you to watch, so you could feasibly switch between listening to WTF and watching an episode of Maron with a few keystrokes.
Enjoy your latest TV binge.
