The Chris Rock directed new hour special from Amy Schumer is sure to be one of the most highly anticipated comedy specials of the year.
We’re sure .gifs and think pieces and everything in between will come from it, but sure to watch it when it premieres this fall on HBO.

Comedy Central really wants to get into the Big Jay Oakerson and Dan Soder business.
Starting tonight, Oakerson and Soder will host The Bonfire with Big Jay Oakerson and Dan Soder on Comedy Central’s Sirius XM channel. They’ll do live shows Mon. and Wed. from 3PM to 5PM PST. Like a true blue radio show, they’ll be taking callers as well, which should make for plenty of fun if you know Dan and Big Jay.
On top of that, each of them will get their own hour long Comedy Central special that will premiere some time in 2016.
We’d hope that you’d know Oakerson and Soder from their previous stand-up specials, albums, TV/radio appearances, etc. by now. If you don’t, Comedy Central wants to make sure you do by next year.
It’ll be on Showtime at 11:05PM.
Tonight, we’ll all get to finally see what the buzz is all about when it comes to watching comedy at a big time arts festival, specifically SXSW.
Matt Braunger, Beth Stelling, Nate Bargatze, Mark Normand, Iliza Shlesinger, and host W. Kamau Bell will all be on part 1 of the SXSW Comedy special tonight.
This should definitely be one of your things that you watch tonight/a reason to get Showtime’s online service for a free trial.

This puts Marc Maron on a new hour of stand-up every two years.
That’s incredibly impressive considering you add his WTF and Maron on IFC on top of following up 2009′s Final Engagement, 2011′s This Has To Be Funny and 2013′s Thinky Pain.
So, you have the rest of summer and all of fall to get Epix so you can watch Marc Maron: More Later (unless you were in the crowd at the Vic Theatre in Chicago earlier this year)
This year is quickly becoming a banner year for Tig Notaro as the documentary following her now legendary set, “Tig”, was just released this past weekend on Netflix and her Showtime special with Jon Dore, “Knock Knock, It’s Tig Notaro” premiered earlier this year.
On top of all of that, she has her HBO comedy special “Boyish Girl Interrupted” premiering on Aug. 22nd at 10PM.

Coming from Comedy Dynamics and directed by Bobcat Goldthwait, Vegan on His Way to the Complain Store is Mirman’s latest hour of stand-up and whatever else strikes Mirman’s hilarious fancy.

Looks like Showtime is gearing up to produce more comedy specials along with Audible’s Rooftop Comedy in the coming months. They have the two part SXSW Comedy with W. Kamau Bell special premiere part 1 on July 24th and are working on a Brian Posehn special that was apparently shot right before Comic-Con this weekend.
Here’s your first look at SXSW Comedy Part 1, which will have Matt Braunger, Mark Normand, Iliza Shlesinger, Beth Stelling, and Nate Bargatze.
Previously only available at LouisCK.net, Todd Barry’s great and innovative Crowd Work Tour special is coming to Netflix.
This Wed. July 15th, you can watch Barry work his low key, yet devilish charm on audiences across America.
So, make sure you have a Netflix password by Wednesday.
We’re not the betting types, but, if we were, we’d bet that this is probably the comedy special this year that will blindside you in the best way.
Boundary breaking singer and comedian Bridget Everett has her very first hour long comedy special premiering on Comedy Central this weekend.
Again, we urge you to watch Gynecological Wonder as soon as you can, which can be either on Sat. night at 12:30AM for the TV premiere or buying it on CC:Direct right now.
Why? with Hannibal Buress premieres this Wed. and, already, you know what you’ll have to look forward to right after the first season wraps.
In fielding questions on Twitter, Hannibal has revealed that he’s set on shooting his next stand-up this September and then looking towards a release in Jan. 2016 on Netflix.
In case you’re like many folks and are obsessed with Buress and everything he does, mark your calendars now.
It’s too early to tell, but we’re curious if he will require everyone in the audience to wear a Hawaiian shirt.
If you, for some reason, haven’t watched Dave Attell’s latest stand-up special yet, cut an hour out of your day today to do so.
Road Work was one of the best comedy specials from last year and definitely an amazing showcase of how much lightning in a bottle that stand-up can produce if you shoot a bunch of shows rather do one big night of a taping.

Craig Ferguson: Just Being Honest will premiere on Sept. 10th at 10PM on Epix.
Post-Late Late Show, Craig Ferguson has tried a bunch of different things including trying to start a primetime talk show and hosting the game show Celebrity Name Game.
Now, he’ll be returning to his stand-up roots with a new special, which, given the title “Just Being Honest”, we imagine that he’ll maybe talk about his Late Late Show exit.
Maybe, after all of that, he’ll go on an “Awkward Pause Tour” where he shares awkward pauses with lots of folks?
11PM on Comedy Central.
Jeff Ross not only did stand-up in front of inmates at a jail in Texas, he also roasted them as well as have them on stage without any sort of restraints and chatted with them in and around the joint.
Off of those facts alone, you should watch latest special, Jeff Ross Roasts Criminals: Live at Brazos County Jail.
Also, watching Ross roast people not because they’re infamous rather than mostly famous is very enticing.
Once again, tune in at 11PM tonight.

Billed as a “Jeff Ross Adventure”, Jeff Ross really goes to a real prison and lets real inmates watch and hang with him for his latest comedy special “Jeff Ross Roasts Criminals: Live at Brazos County Jail”. He even really roasts people who have done any number of things to land in a Texas prison.

Comedy Central is wise to double down on getting into the Nikki Glaser business.
We were blindsided when Nikki & Sara Live got cancelled at MTV and also surprised that Nikki didn’t immediately get to delve right back into another TV show elsewhere.
Finally, Nikki is set to return with a brand new series “Not Safe with Nikki Glaser”, a panel show focusing on all things sex, and a new hour stand-up special all on Comedy Central. Look for the series and the special sometime next year.
We’re confident that Nikki will one up all the other attempts at a funny sex panel show on TV. We wonder if that will involve talking to people after they just had sex in something more exciting looking than a box.
If you were at SXSW this year, you know this is going to be really good.

Whether you’re planning a long Memorial Day Weekend of binge watching or not, you should definitely make sure to watch Jen Kirkman’s brand new hour stand-up special, “I’m Gonna Die Alone (And I Feel Fine)”.
It just got released earlier today on Netflix and you can watch it here so long as you have Netflix account/password. If you don’t, please get one ASAP as watching Jen will be worth it.
Next Friday, Netflix continues to build its impressive array of comedy specials with Jen Kirkman’s I’m Gonna Die Alone (And I Feel Fine).
It being a new special from Kirkman is more than enough to get us to watch, but do check out this great trailer, which perfectly exemplifies this special’s great title.
After that, mark on your calendar that I’m Gonna Die Alone (And I Feel Fine) comes out on Netflix on May 22nd.

For all of us that won’t be in Radio City Music Hall, we’ll still get the live experience.
Comedy Central is actually doing a live-to-air comedy special with the one and only Brian Regan on Sept. 26th at 9PM EST. They’ll be broadcasting Brian Regan: Live from Radio City Music Hall and everyone can watch it live on Comedy Central at the same time similar to how the stream Opera at The Met in theaters.
Do mark your calendars for this.
Unlike the last several comedy specials you’ve seen, she’s shooting it at The Apollo Theater.
HBO’s next big one hour comedy special will come from Amy Schumer who is posting a banner year in 2015 with all the acclaim that Inside Amy Schumer is getting, hosting the MTV Movie Awards, and having her movie Trainwreck coming out soon.
Now, Amy has added to that this HBO comedy special that is set to shoot on May 29th at The Apollo Theater (Yes, the one where they’ve had a man with a broom sweep performers off stage) with Chris Rock at the helm.
Looks like they’ll have to make that banner a little bigger.

Nate Bargatze’s one hour special Full Time Magic doesn’t premiere until Saturday night at midnight on Comedy Central.
