One episode of WTF! had host Marc Maron interviewing director Kevin MacDonald, but with Marc expecting Kids in the Hall’s Kevin McDonald.
Maron told the story while on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night as well another lovely story about his dad leaving a dark impression on him.
Ken Marino, Kate McKinnon, Mary Elizabeth Ellis Join Jared Hess Heist Comedy
In addition to the top billed cast Zach Galifianakis, Owen Wilson, and Kristen Wiig, Ken Marino, Kate McKinnon, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Leslie Jones, Devin Ratray, and Ross Kimball are now in on the Jared Hess directed heist comedy.
That’s one hell of a cast and we wonder if we’ll get to see all of them in the trailer when that comes out.
Sony Wants There to Be a ‘Community’ Movie
Having pulled off getting a sixth season for Community right before the contract expiration deadline for the cast, Sony TV is aiming to make a movie and not be the ones to deny the #sixseasonsandamovie movement.
The talks are preliminary, but Community keeps defying the odds that, at this point, they could just make a movie about how the show made it this far.
On last week’s episode of Last Week Tonight, John Oliver offered his two cents on the Hobby Lobby’s attempt to go against a contraception mandate on the grounds of freedom of religion.

Sundance’s Next Fest to Screen ‘Life After Beth’, ‘Listen Up Philip’, and more
Sundance has a small weekend, long film festival here in LA called Sundance Next Fest combining indie film and music. So far, they’ve got plenty of comedies line-up including Life After Beth, Napoleon Dynamite, Jim Jarmusch’s A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, and Listen Up Philip.
Coupled with that is musical performances from Father John Misty, Warpaint, and Tinashe. Also, you’ll get to enjoy Next Fest at Hollywood Forever Cemetery and the theatre at the Ace Hotel in Downtown LA.
Sounds pretty cool to us, so we think you should make plans for the weekend of Aug. 7th-Aug. 10th and should get your tickets.
In just over two weeks, David Rees’ “how-to” series Going Deep is going to premiere on the National Geographic Channel.
On July 14th when the series premieres, Rees will be “going deep” into such things like arm wrestling just like in this promo.
FX Orders Denis Leary’s ‘Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll’ To Series
Denis Leary has returned to FX after a hit run with Rescue Me with his rock comedy series Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll. Leary plays Johnny Rock who is trying to get his life back together as well as reunite the band, which could be fun to watch with Leary as a former rock star.
We’re curious to see if FX or FXx will ultimately air this come next year. We’re guessing FX.
Kurt Metzger: White Precious to Premiere Next Week on Comedy Central

Though the juxtaposition of FBI and wedding comedy might seem incongruous, Jason Bateman’s directorial debut with Bad Words was so fantastic that we’re on board with whatever he’s at work with here.

Now here’s part 3 where Triumph actually ends up going to Brazil. We’re sure, down there, nothing will get lost in translation with a dog puppet doing insults in a thick Eastern European accent in English.
Armed with a microphone and the headlight switch, TJ Miller, whose also in Transformers: Age of Extinction, sat in a parked car and tricked people walking by that a real life Transformer was in their presence.
