FKR.TV, Co-launched by David Cross, to Premiere Original Comedy Series Starting with “Law of the Land”

David Cross partnered with Syd Butler at French Kiss Records and the Orchard Video Network to create FKR.TV, another online content network to feature original content, many of which will be in the form of a comedy web series.

“Law of the Land” is one of their first series that has a pretty great cast in Baron Vaughn, Brendon Small, Samm Levine, Chris Walsh, Ron Lynch, Matt Besser, James Urbaniak, Phil Lamarr, as well as the show’s writer Ali MacLean in a comedic take on Homeland.

We have yet to see a trailer or teaser before the premiere on Aug. 15th, but we definitely think you should keep an eye on this like we’ll be doing.

In 2013, Lucas Harvie and Sarah Tollemache Still Write Letters and Have Made a Web Series About It

June 11, 2013

letter writing, web series

“Don’t Forget to Write” is a visit to an old tradition nearly forgotten in the age of the Internet, letter writing. The lack of appreciation for this pastime is why Lucas Harvie and Sarah Tollemache are trying to bringing back with an entire web series about it.

Don’t think you make a web series about just letter writing? Well, watch it and see how wrong you are (and how your probably using the wrong type of paper).

Please get in on this great web series of the sweetheart, but seemingly abusive Rick Jabolonski created by and starring Tony Sam. If you think you’ve got a case of the Mondays, then Rick has SOMETHING to say to YOU (that’s probably constructive).

Will Weldon Gives Us The Inner Monologue of One Night Stand, Especially If It Gets Really Weird

The very funny Will Weldon has started a new web series, “One Night Man”, where he gives us more clear picture of what someone is thinking during a one night stand by letting us hear the thoughts of someone going through it, even when the one night stand goes horribly awry (come to think of it, isn’t that what always happens?)

Either way, it’s hilarious, dark, and worth watching now.

Steve Agee and Brandon Johnson Play Another Steve Agee and Brandon Johnson That Think They Sold a Show to Comedy Central

In this latest CC:Studios web series, the very funny Steve Agee & Brandon Johnson play an over the hill and desperate sketch duo also by the names of Steve and Brandon finagling their ways to a Comedy Central show. Thus, the name of the show, Steve & Brandon Think They Sold a Show.

All 5 episodes are now online and we suggest that you watch them as it’s funny with so many funny people in it. In addition to Agee and Johnson, there are JC Coccoli, Michael Busch, and the direction of Peter Atencio (director for Key & Peele).

Thank Goodness Jess Lane and Lee Rubenstein’s ‘Queer Bones’ Beat Reality TV to a Show About Otherworldly Novelty Shops

Comedians Jess Lane and Lee Rubenstein have made a great spot on reality TV parody in her new web series, “Queer Bones”. Following a store of the same name selling novelty items from other dimensions with the very funny Margot Leitman , we’re all in luck this is just a made up satire of a thing that we can laugh at instead of an alternative programming executive giving an oddities store their own show.

Watch now.

As part of her expanding her comedy brand to reach new audiences, Joan Rivers has now started a web series, “In Bed with Joan”. It’s an intimate chat with a guest and Joan and then a little extra. First guest up is Sarah Silverman and there’s a nice Louie-esque moment at the end. So, if you have a spare half hour, watch all of this.

The First Episode of Always Open w/David Koechner w/guest Jason Bateman.  Though, you might not believe, Denny’s is a common destination for comedians.  This must be because Denny’s features like the 2-4-6-8 prices provide both a meal and material.
