Rory Scovel Shooting His First Special Next Month in Charleston, SC
Rory Scovel is one of the most captivating minds in comedy in comedy right now and is finally doing his first hour special to be shot in The Footlight Theater in Charleston, SC Feb. 21st & 22nd.
Tickets will go on sale soon. Rest assured, this is one of those things you don’t want to miss out on in any way if you can.
If you think you’ve seen it all from Paul Scheer or Rob Huebel or from both Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel as Crash Test, well, you haven’t.

Tom Segura Recording His First Hour Special in Minnesota Next Month
The hysterical Tom Segura is recording his first hour long comedy special, which in our opinion is long overdue. Though he’s based in LA, the fine folks of Minneapolis, MN can catch the taping at the Goodale Theater on Nov. 9th 7PM and 9:30PM for free so long as you RSVP at the link above.
If you can somehow go to this, please do so and you wouldn’t be crazy to fly out for this if that’s something you like doing.

The Pete Holmes Show will be taped at Warner Brothers Studios and, as such, will need an audience for taping multiple nights a week.
Basically, if you’re in LA for any reason, just go to this.
Karen Kilgariff Recording Live Comedy Album at Bootleg Theater in September
Make sure Sunday night, specifically 7PM, on September 1st is free to catch the amazing Karen Kilgariff’s live album taping at The Bootleg Theater near Echo Park. Tickets are only $8-$10, which is well worth hearing what we think are songs that both perfectly represent this generation as well as hilariously satirize it.
Don’t Miss Matt Besser’s Taping for “Besser Breaks the Record”
This Sunday at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre here is Los Angeles, one of the UCB founders, Matt Besser, will not only trying to beat multiple comedy records, but he will be recording the whole thing.
In short, you won’t want to miss this as he’s especially since he’s trying to beat out his archrival Russian comedian for many of those records.
We RT’d this a few weeks ago, but the announcement that Sarah Silverman will be taping her upcoming stand-up special for HBO in an incredibly intimate venue (it holds about 50 people) has relatively been kept on the DL. From the looks of the tweet that is linked to above, there’s still room.
We’re just saying you might want to get in on this.
Not only are we getting to finally see a comedy special taped inside of the back room of Meltdown Comics, otherwise known as The Nerdmelt Showroom, but it will be the incredibly funny Morgan Murphy who will be taping said one-hour special.
It’s happening Sat. May 18th at 7PM and 9PM for FREE (w/RSVP), so please don’t miss this.
