Miracle Workers Goes Mad Max for Season 4

News

When Simon Rich’s Man Seeking Woman ended at FXx, we wondered if his particularly grounded brand of whimsy and imagination would ever get to run and play once more. TBS has thankfully given Rich several giant sandboxes to play with via multiple seasons of Miracle Workers and Simon has definitely explored all the edges of every one of them. Jumping from working for God to Medieval times to the Wild West, Miracle Workers has almost been as delightfully formula defiant as Atlanta.

Cue in their latest season wherein it seems to be a sitcom version of a Mad Max-esque post-apocalyptic hellscape where two people in love (Daniel Radcliffe and Geraldine Viswanathan) are just trying get by (and not die in any number of hellscape-ish ways).

Get your first look at what’s in store for season 4 of Miracle Workers, complete with a resonant title “Miracle Workers: End Times” here, then look for new episodes on Mon. Jan. 16th on TBS.

With Man Seeking Woman, we all got a glimpse of the wildly colorful and clever imagination of one Simon Rich.

Now, Simon’s is upping the ante with his new show over at TBS, Miracle Workers where indeed Steve Buscemi and Daniel Radcliffe along with Geraldine Viswanathan (Blockers) are at odds with each other, God and angels, over the fate of Earth.

Already, there’s a lot of charm that you can see in this first full trailer, especially when it comes to the endless possibilities (almost in Good Place sort of way) to explore within the bloated corporation with which God runs the universe. The very end of this trailer definitely peaked our interest for the series FYI.

In any case, you’ll get your full first taste of Miracle Workers on Tues., Feb. 12th at 10:30PM on TBS.

Well, this might make up for not knowing when the next season of Louie is coming around.

Big names seem to be into dropping their new projects with no promotion whatsoever. Louis C.K.’s latest ‘brand new thing’, as he e-mail sent this morning was labeled, had a link to a new web series Horace and Pete that follows C.K. and Steve Buscemi running a bar together.

According to Gothamist, Alan Alda, Kurt Metzger, Jessica Lange, Steven Wright, Nick DiPaolo, Rebecca Hall, Edie Falco, and Aidy Bryant all co-star in this first episode.

It’s $5 to buy just this first episode, but it is over an hour long and is essentially premiering on LouisCK.net. We’re guessing that you’ll cough that up, especially since it’s unsure when the next project, whether it be a show or stand-up special, with C.K. in it will come about (save for his role in The Secret Life of Pets).

Also, having Steve Buscemi, Dustin Hoffman, and Method Man added to the cast doesn’t hurt.
