The first show, on April 3rd at 8PM, has a wondrous line-up of Jackie Kashian, Laurie Kilmartin, Ron Runches, Naomi Ekperigin, Tim Harmston, and Tommy Ryman.

Dan Gill, David Venhuizen, and Colin McCormick have been putting together real slick line-ups for 3 years now at The Clubhouse for their show Idiots. It may be a theater housed in a storefront next to a Jons, but making it three years as a monthly show as a rambunctious comedy trio deserves respect.

Denver’s own Adam Cayton-Holland third album does a take a cue from the title Adam Cayton-Holland Performs His Signature Bits as a compilation of sorts done in a performance at in Brooklyn’s Union Hall. Adam, for years consistently combines sharp observation with a rambunctious spirit all foregrounded by his great talent for painting detailed, layered pictures with words.
This latest release is no exception. In fact, you can catch Adam on Corden tonight (as of this write-up being posted) to see what we’re talking about.

It came out almost a month ago, but that doesn’t mean you should forget that the sneaky delight that is Paige Weldon just had her full length debut comedy album released on AST Records.
On “Girlfriend at The Time”, Weldon goes into a deep dive on the finer nuances of the title in a specifically low key way that has you surprised with her charm through every bit.

UK comedian James Acaster is joining the slight uptick in trying something different in comedy specials besides just doing one hour in front of a crowd.
Seemingly inspired by the famous “stages of grief”, Acaster is doing a Netflix special in four parts, each representing a “stage of James”. Acaster himself is more than polished enough to do a traditional special, so that ought to be interesting.
Simply, we love that one, Jacqueline Novak, used the platform that a late night stand-up set on The Tonight Show provides to lay down the law when it comes to sharing fries when going out.
Also, we love the unexpected, but wholly wonderful twirling that happens during this set on last week’s Fallon.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: Mark Normand is just one of those comedians that knows how to do a stand-up set on late night. His classic rhythm, cadence, presence, writing, etc. etc. are always there and always serve him well.

The Head Writer/Co-EP of The President Show Emmy Blotnick has also been a favorite stand-up of ours for years with her undeniably bubbly presence and deft joke writing.
So, whether you already knew that or not, you really should enjoy her set from Colbert earlier this week. We’re still smiling from watching it.
Mary Mack may sound as midwestern as you possibly imagine a person can sound like, but there’s an undertone of innocent mischief in all of her stories and jokes that we find endlessly charming. “Folk humorist” is what her bio describes her as and we couldn’t help but further that notion.

Honestly, we think it’s a travesty that Lizzy Cooperman isn’t more of a known name in comedy. She’s one of the first people we ever saw live that opened our minds to the possibility of what comedy, specifically stand-up could be all those years ago when we started the Bureau.
So, we really urge you to go to one (or both) of the FREE tapings of her album (that will also have the brilliant Karen Kilgariff hosting) at the end of the month.

Michael Longfellow marked his very first late night stand-up set by introducing his real life experience in a sort of Odd Couple situation, though made much more odd by who he is actually roommates with.

In 2018, Conan O’Brien still keeps steady with the carrying the late night stand-up torch by not only frequently featuring comedians at the end of an episode, but highlighting acts that are more than ready for their first late night appearance.
Earlier this week, we all got to enjoy the delightful Debra DiGiovanni and last night, Alex Edelman, an internationally acclaimed American comedian, got to put his best foot forward on late night for the very first time on Conan.

Billy Eichner Will Be Doing His Very First Stand-Up Special at Netflix
Don’t get it twisted. While it’s a stand-up special, people will still be getting “quizzed in the face”.
If you’re keeping score, Netflix has a Martin Short/Steve Martin special, their 15 minute specials, and now, a Billy Eichner special in the works. Also, we’re pretty sure that’s only the tip of the iceberg of what they’ve got planned for stand-up alone.
Comedian and writer Laura House has quite the resume for someone who is only releasing their first album, not to mention a long held respect from her peers.
Having headlined in clubs for years and written for plenty of award winning TV shows, House’s comedic chops are undeniable at this point as one can clearly hear on this album entitled, Mouth Punch. She’s so incredibly comfortable and bubbly on stage that you almost forget that she’s comedically exploring some of the darker corners of her mind (including a bit about her sarcastic and cutting inner dialogue with herself). Oddly enough, House’s penchant for meditation, a topic she does shed some wonderful light on, probably has something to do with her calm throughout the storms of her own observations.

One of Canadian’s best exports to the United States, in our humble opinion, is, without a doubt, Debra DiGiovanni. While she wildly popular in Canada, she is now making headway stateside having made her way through a few rounds of Last Comic Standing and, as of last night, had her American late night debut on Conan.
