Each of them has their own special individual episode as part of Netflix’s new series The Characters, which is now streaming. Effectively, it’s like Comedy Central’s The Half Hour, but for comedians that love playing characters as opposed to doing traditional stand-up.
Online network JASH is getting into the comedy festival game by throwing their own Jash Fesht on the weekend of Apr. 1st-3rd at Snapshot Studios in Palm Springs.
As you can see, the line-up is nicely stacked between comedy, music, and folks that blur the line of both disciplines.

Like they’ve been doing all along, Netflix is upping their comedy game by having an entire series of character based comedy and featuring some of the best in the game right now to boot.
Basically, Kate Berlant, Dr. Brown, Paul Downs, John Early, Lauren Lapkus, Tim Robinson, Natasha Rothwell, and Henry Zebrowski all get their own episode of The Characters, which is not unlike how Comedy Central does The Half Hour.

The literal towering levels of volume and corresponding discounts that Costco provides when it comes to shopping is pretty ridiculous. As such, there can often be the desire just to take it all in, especially the free food samples, rather than actually doing any shopping.

Kate Berlant, Nate Bargatze, Bridget Everett, Ricky Velez, Tone Bell, Nikki Glaser, The Grawlix (Adam Cayton-Holland, Ben Roy, Andrew Orvedahl), Flula Borg, Bianca Del Rio, Mega64 are all Variety’s picks for their annual Comics to Watch list.
From that lot, three have Comedy Central hour specials this year, one is a main contributor on Last Week Tonight, one has sold a show to FX, one was featured in Pitch Perfect 2, one trio has a show coming to TruTV called “Those Who Can’t”, and one has a show coming to Comedy Central called “Not Safe with Nikki Glaser”.
So, you’ll have had and will have plenty of chances to watch all of these folks, which you should make sure you didn’t/don’t miss out on.
John Early and Kate Berlant together are a comedy duo to be reckoned with, though in a layered, nuanced way.
Having dinner with them is no different as you can see in this short film starring and written by them and directed by Andrew DeYoung.
