Basically, don’t miss out.
Louis CK stopped by The Daily Show last night to promote his part in Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine and he’s just thankful he got to meet the guy.

If you’re vaguely familiar with the name Armando Ianucci, please commit it to memory when you get a chance for all the comedic genius he’s been responsible for. The creator of Veep (as well as The Thick of It & In The Loop) stopped by The Daily Show to talk with fellow Brit John Oliver about lecturing MI5 on comedy, simply walking into the state department, and the comedic brilliance of the American political system.

Jon Stewart goes off the clock at The Daily Show starting tonight for his summer directorial break and John Oliver or as Brian Williams refers to him, “some Oliver Twist”, will take over.
As nervous as Oliver has made himself leading up to now, we think this is going to be a whole lot of fun. Don’t miss it at Comedy Central 11PM.
As John Oliver is filling in for Jon Stewart over at The Daily Show for the summer, Oliver is deadly terrified of what may happen and thus looking for any advice. While on Letterman last night, Oliver got Letterman’s advice on how to avoid talking about a movie while promoting it, which was pretty great.
In a related story, Brian Williams made a sincere gesture to Jon Stewart last night on The Daily Show to not let this “Oliver Twist” guy take over at the top and end of the interview.
