Paige Weldon Makes a Great Late Night Debut on Corden

January 29, 2019
Uncategorized
james corden, late late show, late night, paige weldon, stand up

The Late Late Show with James Corden is really picking up the slack for stand-up comedy being featured on late night in 2019. They’ve already had four sets this month alone including this late night debut of the wonderful Paige Weldon.

Paige is definitely one of those comics whose rise we’ve been following for years in LA (go get Girlfriend at the Time by the way) and we’re so glad to see her it kill it, especially in her own low key way, on Corden.

So, please enjoy her set here.

Please Enjoy Adam Newman’s Latest Late Night Set on Corden

Adam Newman’s snappy delivery and pep, despite being very self-deprecating, are almost tailor made for doing stand-up on late night. Whatever late night talk show he’s on, the punchlines hit fast and hard and, unsurprisingly, he kills it with the crowd at Corden (we think we can even hear Reggie laugh in the background).

So, please enjoy his Adam’s from last night’s Late Late Show here.

There are lots of things up in the air for 2019, but at least the time honored tradition of doing stand-up on late night talk shows is off to a great start with this set from Mekki Leeper where he killed on last night’s Late Late Show with James Corden.

We won’t say anymore as Mekki has a big, fun reveal in the middle of this set. Well, we’ll say one more thing: you should be following whatever Mekki is getting into if you aren’t doing so already (hopefully he’ll do another round of satirizing ads with Rebrand again).

It would seem that both Joe Zimmerman’s phone and comedy are kind of blessed.

Witness it for yourself from his set on last night’s Late Late Show with James Corden.

Well, the line-up for the evening kind of speaks for itself (it seems half of late night is on this thing), but we should add that this evening presented by Will Ferrell is in support of the charity Cancer for College and their 25th Anniversary.

Tickets are going for $49-$500+ and you can get them here.

Lisa Best Shares Her Experience Coming Out as Bisexual During Her Late Night Debut on Corden

Lisa Best is a terrific comedian whose name you should definitely get familiar with and also had a lovely late night debut on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

On top of that, she made a great case, during her set, for understanding and empathisizing the B (for bisexual) in LGBTQIA+ more than the general public probably does currently.

Watch, enjoy, listen, and learn here.

Nate Fernald Tried Sneaking Around The Late Late Show Offices and Made the Second Episode of “The Nate Nate Show”

Already, Nate Fernald has been given a hard pass by James Corden for The Nate Nate Show, a talk show made within the halls and rooms of The Late Late Show with James Corden, after its first episode.

However, every innovator worth a damn has always been beset with rejection on their path to the top.

With that in mind, Nate Fernald pushed forward and (as covertly as possible) made the second episode of The Nate Nate Show.

Beauty and the Beast Gets the Crosswalk Musical Treatment on Corden

Every once in awhile, the intersection at Beverly and Genesee at CBS Television City gets surprised with a presentation of a famous musical courtesy of The Late Late Show with James Corden that happens on the crosswalk while the light is red.

Of course, this means it’s a much, much, much more abridged version lest Corden and company wish to further run the risk of getting hit by cars.

Their latest ‘crosswalk musical’ takes on Beauty and the Beast and even has stars of the movie musical adaptation Luke Evans, Dan Stevens, and Josh Gad join in holding up traffic to sing and dance in period costume.

How much Corden is a taskmaster, especially since he has the credibility of a Tony Award to back him up, in these segments is pretty fun.

Indeed, this is not Myq Kaplan’s first “rodeo” doing stand-up on The Late late Show.

As Myq himself has said, the molecules have moved and the host is different this time around. Myq also does another bang-up job like he did in previous appearances on a set that had much more wood accents and a host from a different part of the Commonwealth.

Watch and enjoy it here. Also, you should get his album No Kidding too.

The Late Late Show with James Corden *WINNER*
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Host TJ Miller both co-starred Deadpool and is part of the ensemble cast of Silicon Valley, which both took home Critics Choice Awards last night. This might make TJ the biggest winner of the evening.

The Late Late Show with James Corden also continues its ascent in late night by winning over all the satirical news shows and Fallon, which is pretty astounding considering that Fallon is still a ratings leader and Sam Bee, John Oliver, and Trevor Noah got special focus because of the election.

The election also put special focus on SNL with highlighting both Kate McKinnon and Alec Baldwin in their respective impressions of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump and resulted in their Critics Choice wins.

Meryl Streep continues her dominance with awards in general as she indeed play a historically bad singer perfectly in Florence Foster Jenkins.

Don’t forget that FX has a nice showing here as well with wins for Louie Anderson on Baskets and Donald Glover on Atlanta. It’s further proof that FX’s programming line-up can stand with the premium cable and streaming networks.

Also, we’re glad to see BoJack Horseman taking home Best Animated Series as the show continues to evolve and get more emotionally and satisfyingly complex.

Jimmy Kimmel and James Corden Play a Late Night Host Version of Truth or Dare with Revolting Food

September 17, 2016
Uncategorized
cbs, james corden, jimmy kimmel, late late show, spill your guts or fill your guts, truth or dare

When it comes to what late night hosts think of each other, there is, currently, a very thick cloud of mystery. Publicly, most will say that they have camaraderie with each other like any other profession even though ratings technically pit them against each other on a nightly basis.

Will we ever know what they really think of each other like we kind of did between Jay Leno and David Letterman?

Well, The Late Late Show’s Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts is a somewhat heightened version of truth or dare backed with food that’s normally reserved for Andrew Zimmern. Jimmy Kimmel was a guest and got to play the game with James Corden, which really shows how much both are dedicated to keeping up appearances.
