Though this used to be just a panel debate show with puppets and humans, the even more abstract direction that NYSU has been headed in has been pretty swell.
This is a perfect example of it.
Let’s just say that we’ve really enjoyed what Paul F. Tompkins has done with going from what was supposed to be a round of simple birthday wishes, then murder confessions to, now, more birthday wishes for some of the much, much older viewers of NYSU.

Kicking off Fusion’s order of a Trump vs. Bernie special and digital series, they had Antony Atamanuik and James Adomian as Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders cover the results of the primaries on Super Tuesday.
Of course, having lost Texas, Trump hated on the Lone Star state and Bernie continue to outline how many individual donations, no matter how slight, he has received.

This is a fantastic, ‘uge move, in addition to The Chris Gethard Show and No, You Shut Up!, for Fusion’s comedy line-up.
Anthony Atamanuik and James Adomian have seemingly dazzled the country, certainly the Internet, with their impressions of presidential candidates Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders. Now, they’re getting an entire cross-platform digital series and a one hour TV special featuring sketches and their current tour on Fusion.
In fact, Trump and Bernie are sharing a hotel room tonight and you’ll be able to get “their” reactions to these Super Tuesday results at 8PM PST on Facebook.
Whatever the results from today’s primaries and however you feel about them, a Trump vs. Bernie series and special should make you feel better.
Oh, the fun that Paul F. Tompkins and the gang at NYSU have is sublime.

On this week’s No, You Shut Up! with Paul F. Tompkins, Jen Kirkman got to do a sketch that was commenting on a specific portion of Bernie Sanders supporters that frequently engage in rather misogynistic discourse when talking about Hillary Clinton, otherwise referred to now as “Bernie Bros”.
Before this Bernie Bro Zone sketch even aired a few days ago, Jen got flack from many Bernie Bros, on top of her usual collection of Internet trolls, for just screen shots of said sketch.
This lead to both having to vigorously defend her position on the matter as well as an extended row of retweets by Jen highlighting the unfortunate way Clinton is talked about, which is many times adjacent to how Trump talks about other candidates in general.
Just look at Jen’s timeline on Twitter and you’ll go down a rabbit hole you didn’t know that went that far.
Though some may unfortunately not realize this, the backlash sort of proves Jen’s point that she made in the Bernie Bro Zone in the first place.
The day is finally here where No, You Shut Up! returns to television.
Paul F. Tompkins, a cadre of really outspoken puppets, and guests that more or less are taken by surprise by what’s happening on the show all come together for the season 4 premiere at 10PM on Fusion.

While Jon Stewart is just appearing on shows here and there for now, the “Jon Stewart of Egypt” is getting his own show.
Announced during the live edition of No, You Shut Up! with Paul F. Tompkins at Riot LA, Dr. Bassem Youssef who hosted Egypt’s satirical news show Al-Bernameg (often compared to The Daily Show with Jon Stewart) is being brought over stateside for his very own show by Fusion.
The idea for Democracy Handbook is that the attempts for democracy in The Middle East have not really gone that well and Youssef is coming to America to learn how to do democracy “right” since our version of democracy is running “just fine” with “no hiccups whatsoever”.
So, we’re on board for this and are standing by for a premiere date.
Season 4 of No, You Shut Up! with Paul F. Tompkins is back on Feb. 4th at 10PM on Fusion.

Announced today, Chris Gethard and company have not only gotten a whole new batch of 10 episodes of The Chris Gethard Show ordered at Fusion, but they’ve got bumped up to a whole hour of airtime from the half-hour that they got in their first season.
This upgraded second season of The Chris Gethard Show is set to premiere this Spring and we can’t wait to see what crazy stuff Gethard will have up his sleeve and/or try to pull off and/or be completely blindsided by thanks to his staff now that they have an entire hour.
The second special episode of No, You Shut Up! with Paul F. Tompkins is now on YouTube in full, thanks to Fusion.
You can see more puppets and Paul debate it out as well as Patton Oswalt “announce” a presidential run and the NYSU team actual talk to real life California State Assembly member, Ted Lieu.

As No, You Shut Up! continues to delightfully evolve as a show, it has found itself bringing another non-felt being alongside host Paul F. Tompkins. The very funny Rhea Butcher, who we hope you know from Put Your Hands Together and her own stand-up, will be the very first NYSU correspondent.
With Tompkins and Butcher, which we think has a very nice ring to it, season 4 of No, You Shut Up! coming next year should be a barnburner.

Fusion made the real smart move by bringing back No, You Shut Up! for a fourth season that will be primed to handle the 2016 presidential race and its accompanying chaos.

Recently, Chris Gethard was invited to a HS graduation and wanting to making a fun video in the process, a very forced pun was given to him to say as a “joke” to tell when greeting the graduates.

They’ll be partnering with the YouTube Space, UCB, 3 Arts, NYC’s The Stand and more to bring a bunch of new original, short form content that’s hopefully in the wheelhouse that they’ve been building with No, You Shut Up! with Paul F. Tompkins and The Chris Gethard Show.
