You’ll be able to catch these specials either being taped in Boston as Comedy Central usually does or on Comedy Central much later in 2015.

In a show about the life of comedian Jim Gaffigan, food and eating of said food is essential.

Jim has just posted the first trailer for The Jim Gaffigan Show coming to TV Land and Comedy Central this Summer and features a montage of Jim eating and how it might get on the nerves of his friends, family, and colleagues.

Watch it here.

While, we’ll have to wait awhile for the premiere this trailer also came with the announcement that an entire episode of The Jim Gaffigan Show will be released for a limited time on May 15th.

Comedy Central Developing Female Basketball Comedy From Amanda Lund, Maria Blasucci, and Angela Trimbur

So, a Pistol Shrimps sitcom?

Comedy Central has just bought a project centered on an underdog all-female basketball team from Amanda Lund, Maria Blasucci, and Angela Trimbur who will also star.

It wouldn’t surprise us at all if the series would basically follow the real life events of the LA female rec basketball team known as The Pistol Shrimps, which has a roster including Lund, Blasucci, Aubrey Plaza and Stephanie Allynne as well as a dance team led by Trimbur.

Drunk History’s Jeremy Konner and Jack Black are also involved with the project that has the potential to line-up quite nicely with Broad City and Inside Amy Schumer.

“Inside Amy Schumer” Renewed For Another Season Before Season 3 Premiere Tonight

Amy Schumer may be calling 2015 the year of the ass, but it’s turning out to be more of her year.

While Inside Amy Schumer is gearing up for the premiere of its 3rd season tonight following a Peabody Award win, the news broke right before Amy’s appearance on Letterman that Comedy Central was ordering a 4th season of the show.

Of course, she broke the news during her chat with Dave.

So, while you’ll have to tune in at 10:30PM tonight on Comedy Central for the season premiere, this 3rd season is probably off to the best start that it could possibly have.

It’s all official now.

This means the last few moves of this new era of late night will be Letterman’s set to exit in May, then Stewart will follow in August presumably with Trevor Noah’s taking the helm soon after, and then Colbert will take over The Late Show in September.

So, maybe just over three months from the start of a shake up?

To up the ante and explore the criminal justice system, Roastmaster General Jeff Ross has done his latest special in front of a crowd of inmates at Brazos County Jail in Texas.

Jeff Ross Roasts Criminals Live From Brazos Country Prison did indeed happen and, as you can see from this Kimmel appearance, he lived to tell the tale.

In fact, no riots broke out and Ross says the shows went great.

We’ll get to see what went down when the special airs on Comedy Central Jun. 13th.

Watch a Preview of Comedy Central’s “Another Period” Set to Premiere Jun. 23rd

It almost seems like this was the show Natasha Leggero was born for.

This first clip finally gives a look into one of Comedy Central’s latest highly anticipated series, the 1900s single camera comedy “Another Period”. Leggero flirts with a robber baron played by Tim Heidecker at a particular funeral and Michael Ian Black is at her beck and call as a servant.

It would seem this show can have all the fun that Downton Abbey could have if they wanted to take some liberties with history and tone.

Another Period premieres Jun. 23rd.

Nate Bargatze has plenty of reasons of why he’s one of Vulture’s 50 Comedians You Should Know in 2015. He’s about to give us all another one with a brand new comedy special.

Full Time Magic will be Nate’s new one hour special at Comedy Central coming May 2nd and the pitch perfect cover art comes from Dave Kloc and Chris Klosterman.

On the title alone, it’s kind of a perfect follow-up to his album Yelled At By a Clown.

Trevor Noah to Replace Jon Stewart as Host of “The Daily Show”

Uncategorized

Well, there you have it folks. South African comedian Trevor Noah will be the next and third host of The Daily Show.

Comedy Central announced their decision after “whispering” that Noah was in the running a few days ago.

So, as long as no one else quits or somehow gets canceled, this era of late night talk show-ish shows will soon be:

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
Jimmy Kimmel Live
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
Conan
The Daily Show with Trevor Noah
Late Night with Seth Meyers
The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver
The Late Late Show with James Corden
@midnight with Chris Hardwick
Last Call with Carson Daly
(in primetime) The Grace Helbig Show
Untitled Chelsea Handler Project at Netflix

So, it’s slightly more diverse?

The 2nd Ari Shaffir special to hit TV in 2015 will air tonight on Comedy Central. Earlier this year, there was Paid Regular and, tonight at midnight, there will be Passive Aggressive.

Actually, Passive Aggressive was first available on a site called Chill.com that existed awhile ago. However, they went under and released all the comedy specials, including Maria Bamford’s Special Special Special and Greg Proops’ Live at Musso and Frank Grill, to the comedians and, one by one, each special has found its way to distribution through various channels.

So, this previously lost special Passive Aggressive from Ari Shaffir finally gets uncovered tonight. (Also, both specials are now available at CC:Stand-Up Direct)

Some of you might know that comedians live lives that you would never guess based on their act and on stage persona.

Tom Segura experienced a great example of that when he met successful, veteran comedian Bruce Bruce and got completely blindsided. Seriously.

This is the latest story for This Is Not Happening with Ari Shaffir and we can’t stress enough how out-of-left-field this story is especially since it doesn’t involve drugs, alcohol, violence, etc.

Hannibal Buress Gets Series Order For Topical Show “Why?” From Comedy Central

Uncategorized

(via Deadline)

Unlike the time when Hannibal Buress really jumped the gun and announced that Comedy Central picked up his series on Twitter in an attempt to perhaps visualize his goals, Hannibal has really gotten an official series order where he basically gets to talk about and do what he wants.

Comedy Central has ordered 8 episodes of Why? which will feature Buress talking about the burning issues of the day, the ones he cares about anyway, and feature pre-taped segments, man-on-the-street bits, etc.

It sounds a little bit like Chapelle’s Show, but with Hannibal leading the way, we have no problem with that whatsoever and look forward to the premiere.

Since 2003, Night of Too Many Stars has raised millions of dollars for autism programs as well as putting on one heck of a show.

This year, they’ve got a Paul Rudd wheel, John Oliver committing a crime for charity, Chris Rock being a spokesperson to highest bidder, and appearances from Weird Al Yankovic, Abbi Jacobson & Ilana Glazer, Martin Short, Bill Burr, Steve Carell, Louis C.K., Maya Rudolph, Sarah Silverman, Jim Gaffigan, John Oliver, Larry David, and way more.

That’s all on top of The Simpsons prize we mentioned yesterday.

Variety recapped a pre-taped portion of all the craziness that went down.

There’s also a “friendly chat” with former Happy Gilmore co-stars Bob Barker  and Adam Sandler.

Executive producer of the event Robert Smigel details more of the evening festivities as well as the cause of autism programs in which it’s supporting while on The Daily Show earlier this week.

There will be a live telethon when this year’s Night of Too Many Stars airs in order to take donations for autism programs this Sun. Mar. 8th at 8PM on Comedy Central.

Trevor Moore’s new special High in Church premieres this Fri. Mar. 6th at midnight on Comedy Central, but we’ve been getting small previews here and there of the sharp, very clever satire that’s in store.

First there was a parallel universe where cats acted exactly like us and now there’s this new music video for “Gays Got Married” where Moore envisions what people against gay marriage are thinking will happen when gay marriage is passed as law.

Of course, the message seems most poignant when done as a country song.
