Comedy Central’s Latest Series Order Goes to “Detroiters” From Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson

(via Deadline)

This should offer a nice contrast to Another Period.

It’s set in the modern day and it follows two native sons of Detroit, who happen to be in advertising, trying to make their town seem great again as opposed to the turn-of-the-century, ridiculous wealth of Newport, Rhode Island.

Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson both hail from Detroit, as well as SNL and Veep respectively, and they’ll be occasionally running into Jason Sudeikis in their trials and travails as “Detroiters”.

Comedy Central has got 10 episodes of the series lined-up, but a premiere date has yet to be announced.

One of the original and go to narrators for Drunk History is Mark Gagliardi. Thus, what would this latest season be without him attempting to recount an oft-overlooked annal in history if not incomplete.

Mark sure came through with the story of Bass Reeves, a man of such Wild West legend that a fictitious legend was based off of him, as well as professions of love, lying face down on the floor, etc.

Watch it all in its Drunk History glory here.

On top of sticking it to Trump, you’ll get to have more fun than you probably ever have carving a pumpkin.

To cap off a veritable “Randy Liedtke Week” of having a half hour comedy special premiere on Comedy Central, an appearance on @midnight, and doing Conan, Liedtke also released his album, I’m On a Roll, on Comedy Central Records.

Whether you’ve watched Randy all week or not, we’re pretty sure you’ll get charmed by his well-crafted silliness that never wavers in how pure it is in this recording. Just look at the album art if you’re skeptical.

You can get I’m On a Roll on iTunes here.

Hannibal Buress had been working for awhile on developing a show at Comedy Central in which he would be the focal point. As you know, he eventually got Why? with Hannibal Buress off the ground.

Before that, Hannibal had a pilot for a show Unemployable where Hannibal attempts other jobs while having no real work experience outside of comedy. It didn’t get picked up, but after watching it we sincerely hope that it gets picked up somewhere else.

Watch the pilot here to see what we’re talking about.

Bang!, and way more.

However, the wait, even though there has been plenty of Paul to go around in the meantime, for a new Tompkins special is over as Crying and Driving will premiere this Sat. Oct. 10th at 11PM on Comedy Central.

With his life and well-being constantly in danger, one might wonder how the close of the second season of Review might come about without just outright killing host Forrest MacNeil and living up to the fight at the end of season one.

Well, the show ingeniously has Forrest review conspiracy theories, which leads him to create a conspiracy theory about the reviews he’s assigned. That’s as much as we’ll say for fear of spoiling of anything else.

Watch it here.

At the stroke of 11PM, it’ll be hard to miss the new Daily Show.

The restart of one of Comedy Central’s pillars, The Daily Show, comes tonight as the show’s third host, Trevor Noah sits behind the desk that millions watch Jon Stewart night in and night out for well over a decade.

As this is such a momentous occasion, Viacom, which owns Comedy Central, is going to have the premiere air across all their networks including MTV and VH1.

While that’s certainly going to boost their ratings, there will undoubtedly be a whole bunch of folks that watch the episode online afterwards.

Still, if you’re looking to watch the premiere live, tune into Comedy Central at 11PM for the inaugural episode of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.

If this teaser proves anything, it’s that Nathan Fielder might have made a more unbelievable season of Nathan For You than the previous ones..

WIth Fielder, someone who manages to consistently fool most of the Internet, that’s really saying something. Perhaps, this is just in of itself a clever ruse. Either way, we’re in for more of Fielder coming next month.

Season 3 of Nathan For You is set to premiere on Comedy Central on Thurs. Oct. 15th.

Looks like Buffalo Wild Wings and Comedy Central have taken different approaches to handling this week’s Steve Rannazzisi debacle.

Despite getting a lot of heat for his admission that his 9/11 escape story was a lie, Steve Rannazzisi’s apologies seem to have been enough to keep his new hour special, Breaking Dad, from being pre-empted, moved, etc. at Comedy Central.

Its premiere is set for 11PM tonight on Comedy Central and we’re sure that some folks will be probably trying to fact check every single bit.

Seeing how all this spun out of control years after the lie was told, it would be thoroughly intriguing now to see Steve be interviewed Brian Williams on his new show if they went in-depth into their fabrications.

The master impressionist and one of our favorite comedians around, James Adomian, got to bring his latest and greatest impression on @midnight with Chris Hardwick last night.

Of course, James gave a great glimpse of what the spirited Sen. Sanders could bring to the podium of a game show along side Heather Anne Campbell and Jon Daly.

Please enjoy some shouting and pointing that wasn’t in the Republican presidential debates last night.

Maybe Sen .Sanders will have Adomian’s impression of him as a running mate?

Comedy Central has just announced that they’re re-upping the replacement for The Colbert Report, The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, for another whole year as things have sailed seemingly quite well for Wilmore.

2016 being an election year should prove a good time for both The Nightly Show as well as The Daily Show with its new host, Trevor Noah.

May Wilmore get to keep on keepin’ It 100 for many more years to come.
