This is great news and should be a surprise to no one. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are arguably at the top of comedy right now with as many great projects their involved in/responsible for and it would be almost dumb for The Golden Globes to not have them back.

In fact, Tina and Amy to the The Golden Globes might just have become like Billy Crystal used to be to The Oscars.

Filmmaker, Writer, and UCB’s Creative Director Todd Bieber got a never before seen look into what goes into one of the most legendary improv shows in the world of improv, ASSSSCAT. It’s one of the longest running and most well known long form improv shows now running on both in NYC and LA. Amy Poehler, one of the founding members of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, gives a tour through UCB Chelsea on a typical night of ASSSSCAT with the likes of Chris Gethard, Zach Woods, Horatio Sanz, Ms. Poehler herself, Jon Hamm, all being in the same room.

JFL’s ComedyPRO Names Amy Poehler Comedy Person of the Year

In case you’re not aware, in addition to starring in Parks and Recreation, Amy Poehler has her hand in producing another TV show, Broad City, started a production company with her brother that already sold a series, does her web series, Smart Girls at The Party, as well as the occasional ASSSSCAT. We’re sure we are forgetting something, but it’s a well deserved honors either way.

Just For Laughs’ ComedyPro also named Edgar Wright as Comedy Director of The Year, Mitch Hurwitz as Comedy Writer of the Year, and Nick Kroll Breakout Comedy Star of the Year.

That’s pretty good if you ask us.
