If the typical sort of, very, very family friendly holiday spirit doesn’t quite suit you this time of year, may we suggest that you catch a much more adult-themed holiday comedy variety show fronted by Toby Huss as Rudy Casoni (who uncannily sounds like Frank Sinatra) wonderfully called The Rudy Casoni XXXMas Boozebag Revue.

There’s a fantastic line-up, as you can see above, that is sure to keep this evening fun for the grown-ups only.

This year’s Rudy Casoni XXXMas Boozebag Revue will be at Dynasty Typewriter this Wednesday. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at door and you can (and should) get them here.

The rest of our listings for comedy shows, events, screenings, open mics, maps, and more can be found at www.thecomedybureau.com.

Bryan Cook explains Guilty Treasure as “Comedians defend their “Guilty Pleasure” songs and then Andy Wood and I make them sing them with a band.”

Together, this format, which already sounds pretty promising, and this particular line-up should make for a great night of arguing, singing, and embarrassing nostalgia.

Guily Treasure is on Tuesday at Three Clubs in Hollywood at 7:30PM.

With Reunited, Josh Androsky and Bryan Cook have devised a faux panel discussion series that brings together the cast of a sitcom that never existed. On top of that, the real comedians that were supposedly on said sitcom have no idea what that sitcom was called or what it was about until the show starts.

As you might imagine, the behind-the-scenes of the sitcom wasn’t a happily-ever-after story, which makes for a really “great” reunion.

The latest edition has James Urbaniak, Baron Vaughn, Hampton Yount, and a special guest.

It’s going down at 8:30PM on Friday, April 8th at The Hollywood Improv Comedy Lab and tickets are only $5.

The rest of our listings for comedy events and open mics along with corresponding maps are embedded at www.thecomedybureau.com.

Forrest MacNeil Is Putting Himself Even More in Harm’s Way in Season 2 Trailer for “Review”

Season 1 of Review made Forrest MacNeil/Andy Daly almost lose everything. Family, friends, sense of self and purpose, and more seem to fall away one by one with each review that Forrest took on.

Yet, despite a temporary disappearance, MacNeil is back on to doing his duty for mankind by reviewing whatever is asked of him as evidenced in this trailer for season 2.

Apparently, such important duty involves having an arrow shot at an apple on his head, glory holes, prison, and more.

Please mark your calendars for the season 2 premiere of Review on July 30th at 10PM on Comedy Central.

The phrase “our long national nightmare is finally over” seldom applies more than it does with the return of Review’s host Forrest MacNeil.

After running off the grid from the season 1 finale, the crew, Comedy Central, and the whole of the Internet joined together to find Forrest and now season 2 is safely under way and will be coming to your TV starting Thurs. July 30th at 10PM on Comedy Central.

Watch Forrest’s “press conference” announcing his return here.

Rachel Dratch, Andrea Martin, and James Urbaniak Join USA Pilot Difficult People Starring Julie Klausner and Billy Eichner

With just the cast of Klausner and Eichner, and now Rachel Dratch, Andrea Martin, and James Urbaniak joining in, we’d already be thrilled at the prospect of how good Difficult People could be.

What makes this even more exciting is that Amy Poehler is producing this, which it makes it hard for us to think that USA Network wouldn’t pick this up.

It’s just another great episode of terrorist cell procedurals dramas in Law of The Land at FKR.TV with cameos from Phil LaMarr and James Urbaniak.

It’s just another thing that isn’t Breaking Bad that you should be watching. Check ep. 4 here.

David Cross partnered with Syd Butler at French Kiss Records and the Orchard Video Network to create FKR.TV, another online content network to feature original content, many of which will be in the form of a comedy web series.

“Law of the Land” is one of their first series that has a pretty great cast in Baron Vaughn, Brendon Small, Samm Levine, Chris Walsh, Ron Lynch, Matt Besser, James Urbaniak, Phil Lamarr, as well as the show’s writer Ali MacLean in a comedic take on Homeland.

We have yet to see a trailer or teaser before the premiere on Aug. 15th, but we definitely think you should keep an eye on this like we’ll be doing.
