Thankfully, another show that we are so dearly glad that survived to this side of the pandemic. We tried very hard to never miss Guilty Treasure pre-lockdown as hosts Bryan Cook and Andy Wood assembled many of LA’s funniest individuals to revel in their favorite guilty pleasure songs (and, of course, filling us all in on the background of said song).

Hearing those covers of said songs after hearing what sort of journey a comedian has been on with it usually, for our money, makes it way better.

So, we’re very, very glad to tell you that Guilty Treasure is set for their first in-person show since long, long ago on Aug. 27th at 8PM PT at the Eastside’s Permanent Records Roadhouse (the improbable, but very real hip bar/record store/music & comedy venue). Their line-up, by the way, is worthy of you just going no matter what they’re doing. Slate for the evening is David Wain, Laraine Newman, Albert Hickman, Dylan Gelula, and Langston Kerman. Bryan, Andy, Charlie Paxon, and Rick Wood will make up the band that will be dishing out the guilty treasure hits.

Tickets are $10.

Bryan Cook and Andy Wood will be celebrating the 1 year anniversary of getting comedians to talk up and even perform their guilty pleasure songs on Guilty Treasure. There’s an awesome live band that backs up everyone on the show and (possibly) makes the songs better than the original.

For this anniversary edition, Matt Braunger, Arden Myrin, Andrés du Bouchet, Kara Klenk, and TJ Chambers are on deck.

Tickets are $12.50 and it’ll all be happening this Wednesday, December 5th at 7PM at Hotel Cafe in Hollywood. Get tickets in advance here.

If there was a way for you to appreciate songs that are widely panned or hardly known for various reasons, it would be comedians telling their story of why they love said songs and then perform a live cover of it, complete with a live band.

Thus, we highly recommend to catch Guilty Treasure this week in Hollywood at Three Clubs. Please get tickets here.

Bryan Cook explains Guilty Treasure as “Comedians defend their “Guilty Pleasure” songs and then Andy Wood and I make them sing them with a band.”

Together, this format, which already sounds pretty promising, and this particular line-up should make for a great night of arguing, singing, and embarrassing nostalgia.

Guily Treasure is on Tuesday at Three Clubs in Hollywood at 7:30PM.
